Bazura bags are made in the Philippines by a women's cooperative, utilizing used juice containers. These containers are purchased through a network of local school children. Indestructible and non-biodegradable by nature, foil juice packs clog landfills, fields and streets throughout the Philippines. Using clever designs that combine the material's strength & brilliant colors, the co-op helps keep the environment clean via this very cool method of recycling.
About Bazura Bags
Bazura Bags come from a women's co-op in the Philippines that set up a Livelihood Project assisted by the local village council. With almost no capital, the women found a very clever way to support themselves.
Every day, children from the local schools collect over 50,000 used drink containers, called doy packs, then sell them to the co-op. The bags are sanitized and the women sew them together into attractive, durable bags.
Unlike most third world factory workers toiling away in sweatshops, these women are entrepreneurs and shareholders. They work for themselves and have a positive impact on their community and, at the same time, they encourage environmentalism.

I was hoping it would be able to hold a credit card..I know it's called a "coin purse" but I was hoping to use it for other things too...and I am ..I also bought my twin girls one each..they haven't used theirs..I think it's a fantastic idea to make. More things around the world need to be RE-used! For that reason alone I love it! Plus I also think it's cute! lol Anywhoo I am happy with this buy!! I love these coin purses! This is my second one because I have a habit of stuffing a lot of cards in the outside pocket and it will stretch a little over time if you do that. I use it as a mini wallet when I go out - I put my cards/license in the outside pocket and money and change in the inside. I loved the idea until I got them and saw how small they were. They are useless to me as snack transport. Not only are they small, but they are tight and flat as they lack depth expansion. They're 18 and 20 years old and REALLY appreciate the juice box design AND the fact that the purchase helped women financially. Stainless containers: haven't used them yet but gave one to daughter and one for me. I like the ease in which the top opens, yet feels secure enough not to leak. I have to agree with the word used over and over to describe the coin purses: These are *cute*! Aside from that, the purses are very well-made, quite sturdy and hold much more than I originally thought. Love the back pocket, but I'm not sure I would place anything very valuable in it because I'd be worried it would fall out. All 5 purses I ordered have the same design, which I'm OK with, but I think most men would hesitate to carry a coin purse featuring a cartoon drawing of a wide-eyed cow wearing a cowboy hat. Very cute. Perfect size for my coins and a few bills and the pocket on the outside does fit my license, debit card, etc. Great size to bring when you don't want to bring your entire wallet. One big disappointment: I ordered 4 and 3 of them were the exact same design with a little boy cartoon figure. I was hoping for a variety to give as gifts and everyone had to get the same one. I found these by accident. I was looking for something to keep grocery money in. My mom is from the Phillipines so I thought it would be a neat purchase. I like how you get a random design...it's kind of fun. It was thinner than I expected...you must keep your bills in order for them to fit. Maybe in time it will stretch out. But other than that I really enjoy it. I keep it with my hemp grocery bags and take it all in as one package.
