SO far so good, bread stays soft without getting moldy...at least for a week. Fits homemade loaves which is nice.

It is plastic inside - I did not understood that before buying and I am trying to tay away from plastic for health reasons. I do use the bag with the plastic on the outside and it actually works well that way. I do that with a lot of other stuff, I put the food in cotton bag and put the cotton bag in a plastic bag - great for freezing or the fridge.

4.0 FABULOUS bag, more colors?

This bag pretty much is magical. We took sliced sourdough to the Canary Islands for a long weekend and the bread stayed soft and unmolded from the time we left the house to the time we got back home 5 days later.



Two things: I just wish it didn't look so kitchy. I don't have much cabinet space so it ends up on top of the cabinet and is highly visible. What about just being brown, or unbleached cotton? The second is that the velcro straps are a little short and I have to pull them together well just to get the ends to grip.

I bought two so i can have constant rotation of fresh breads! LOVE these! totally what i need. it does fit machine bread (tight fit)

and it is long enough to hold my baguette shapes i make.

This winter I can stop saran wrapping them! plus they look so cutsey! i recommend to anyone who bakes breads and other carbs.

I bake a 9" pain de mie about twice a week. It will stay fresh unwrapped in my bread bin for about 2 or 3 days before it would start to dry out a bit. With this bag, it stays fresh at least 5 days. (It could be longer, but the bread gets eaten by then.) I wasn't crazy about the plastic lining at first, but it is a very heavy grade that will last a long time (and doesn't smell). I wish the velco straps were longer so you could wrap it tighter, but overall this is a great storage bag. Note: This bag is not meant to keep Artisan loaves crusty. It keeps soft breads soft.
