Design & Functionality
With clever prints and durable construction there are dozens of ways these pouches replace plastic baggies and other disposables for organization and storage. Keep your reusable grocery bags organized by storing your grocery list, coupons and credit cards in a coin purse that matches your shopping bag. Cut back on disposables by making your own to-go packs of tissue or travel items. Keep your cloth napkins and hankies away from other items in your bag in these colorful pouches.

Materials
The bags are made by taking old grain sacks and plastic water bottles, grinding them up, heating them into a type of thread, which is then woven to create a super-strong 95% post-consumer recycled polypropylene material. Only the handle and film required to screen the design are not made from recycled materials.

Sustainability
This bag can help you eliminate thousands of plastic baggies over its lifetime, and choosing products made from post-consumer recycled materials promotes a more sustainable path for landfill-bound waste.

About Blue Q
Brothers Mitch and Seth Nash founded Blue Q in 1988 and still own it today. For the past 15 years, the company has also been the largest local private employer of individuals with disabilities, who make up one quarter of the Blue Q workforce. The company has a close working relationship with the family-owned company in China that makes their bags. Any factories Blue Q partners with must pass rigorous inspections to ensure they meet high, ethical standards for employee care, product quality, and environmental responsibility.

Blue Q donates 1% of the sales of their bags and water bottles to the Nature Conservancy to help support global green initiatives. They are committed to a donation of at least $100,000 by April 19, 2013. See Nature.org for more information on their programs.

  • Although it is lead-free, this bag has not been tested for food safety. We feel comfortable using it to store dry snacks, if you're concerned you may wish to wrap food in a cloth napkin before placing it inside the zipper pouch.

This is a cute little thing - best for some pocket money or little crayons to take along. Since the material is soft(ish), I do not find a use from my fridge for it....it doesn't invite to put anything squishy or leaky inside it.

I love my "This Economy Sucks" Baggie Replacement. I keep it in my purse to hold all my receipts for the week, instead of them cluttering my purse. It is the perfect size for this duty, and the message is amusing.

This little bag is so cute, I am not even upset that it is a little too small to be used for a snack bag. It would probably work to carry snacks like nuts or trail mix, but that is about all. I currently use it as a coupon holder. I mostly bought it for the cute picture, and it as worth it.

Our family likes to pack lunches and eat out at the beach, the park, or the mountains. I bought this little baggie to use for holding a wet hand towel for such outings. I also put it in my daughter's school lunch tote for the same purpose. It's small in size, lightweight, waterproof, washable, and also super cute. In this way, we don't have to use disposable wipes or paper napkins. If the price were a bit less, I would probably buy more to use as snack bags too.

It wasn't until I received this that I realized it is made out of recycled materials, which makes it just super in my opinion. It's sturdy, won't get dirty, holds all of my paraphanalia (including business cards). The colors are cute, the slogan adorable. The only drawback is the zipper is kind of hard to move back and forth, but I am sure it will get easier as I use it. My friends loved it so much I had to order them one too!

Okay, so it's bigger than I knew, even though the measurments are available to the shopper ahead of time... it's pretty nice. Satin-type exterior and interior. Very spacious. A cell phone pocket inside, and another pocket, plus the usual zippered "secret" section. a mid-level amount of spacious. THE ONLY PROBLEM i have with it is that the zipper is sometimes hard to pull closed. Takes a lot of fumbling around when there are lines or I'm trying to hurry about.
