Design and Functionality
CamelBak Podium Chill bottles are lightweight, economical and durable insulated bottles. Unique Jet Valve™ technology allows for a high flow rate for drinks on the go, or cooling down while you bike. The lock-out cap is leak-proof in your bag - and the self-sealing valve allows you to keep the cap open while you ride without splashing. Plus, it's made from polypropylene (#5) lined with HydroGuard™, an EPA-registered compound that uses the natural antimicrobial properties of silver to inhibit the growth of bacteria that can cause odors, discoloration or deterioration of the bottle surface. So, you taste your beverage, not your bottle. Drinks stay cool for hours - ideal for the gym. Safe for use with carbonated beverages and sport drinks. Not for use with hot liquids.
Materials
Made from BPA-free, phthalate-free TruTaste™ polypropylene - a proprietary blend of polypropylene that is food-safe and taste-free. Compared to ordinary bike bottles which are made of low-density polyethylene that can flavor or distort the taste of your water, using this bottle means your water will taste like it should. The bottle cap is made from polypropylene, with smaller components made of HDPE. Sealing components (nozzle, Jet Valve and o-ring) are made of medical grade silicone.
Sustainability
Single use, disposable water bottles (PET plastic) create millions of tons of unnecessary waste each year. According to the Container Recycling Institute, less than 15% of plastic water bottles in the U.S. are actually recycled. Care Instructions
Hand wash with warm soapy water. High heat from the dishwasher may distort this lightweight bottle. Cap is top-rack dishwasher-safe.
TipsThere's no need to close the lock-out valve every time you drink - the Jet Valve keeps your bottle drip-free while in use, and the lock-out serves as extra protection for transport. When freezing the Podium Chill, only fill it 3/4 full to allow for expansion & place in the freezer right side up. Secure lock-out cap for transport or mixing powdered beverages. HydroGuard does not protect the user against disease-causing organisms. Always clean the bottle after each use.

I purchased this bottle for my 7 year old to take milk to school and keep cold until lunch time (with the addition of a few ice cubes). He complained that the milk tasted funny by lunch time. This was a big waste of money... By John S. K

5.0 Best squeeze bottle I've ever used

As a college student looking for a good way to stay hydrated on campus this was a great decision. As long as there are no issues turning the bottle upside down where you want to drink it is fantastic. The only way to get around that would be with a straw or something. Its insulation works moderately well and it is by far the best squeeze bottle I have ever used. By C. T

This is the best bottle around, I agree with the other reviewer that it does not insulate very well, but it does manage to delay warming. The best part of this bottle is the valve, this is the highest flow water bottle that you can either suck out or squeeze. I will never go back to the old tooth cracking pull-spout. I've used the Polar Bottles which insulate better, but still don't last very long and they utilze the same 100 year old poorly designed spout... this is a much better bottle if you are trying to decide between the Camelbak and Polar... get the Camelbak! Oh and it's BPA free!View All
