Cryopak invented and perfected the high-performance ice pack. Unlike other ice packs that contain just water, Cryopak contains unique, patented formula that stays cold three times as long. Since the ice mat is flexible even when frozen, you can wrap it around items you want to keep cold and it will evenly distribute the temperature. Equivalent to 8-10 pounds of ice, but takes up just a fraction of the space in your freezer and costs significantly less over time. Like all reusable ice packs, it' s another way to cut down on plastic bags - and it works even better than ice for a sports wrap or first aid.
Dimensions One sheet of 24 pouches (11" x 8.75") One sheet of 12 pouches (8.75" x 5.75) Weight: 16.4 oz.

I love these. I was in need of some new ones and love the fact that you can shape these anyway you like. They are very handy and work really well. I highly recommend these. Time will tell on the endurance, but so far they are taking a beating and doing just fine.
I was super excited when I saw these little pouches. I wanted to use them in my own lunches and in my kids lunch boxes and thought that being able to cut the size would be perfect. However, they don't last very long at all. I packed my lunch about 7:45 and when I opened my bag at 12 noon the pouches were totally thawed and barely cold. I have a short drive to work and they sat in my air conditioned office the entire time. I will still use, but won't order any more.
I bought a pack of these at the beginning of the school year, and couldn't be happier. They freezen beautifully and fit my daughter's PlanetBox perfectly. I fold the large sheet in half and put it underneath her lunch, and the single sheet fits perfectly in the mesh pocket in the lid of the bag. Her lunchbag is insulated and these keep her lunch at a safe temp until I pick her up in the afternoon...even here in Las Vegas. This has been used daily all year, and we've only had one cell puncture. Adding additional weight to her bag was an issue for me, and these are light, durable and get the job done. I highly recommend the Cryopak Mats, and will be purchasing a backup set for next year!
I bought 4 of these ice packs about a year ago. They do what they are supposed to do - make things cool/cold. BUT! After a while the little packets will begin to leak. NO BUENO. So now my ice packs have a bunch of deflated packets but are still mostly usable. Kinda...
They are good for cooling down hot leftover food that have been packed into Tupperware for the fridge. I basically lay 2 down, side by side and place the containers on top. Then I lay the other 2 ice packs on top. It cools the food down quick so I can put them in the fridge sooner - less time in the temperature "danger-zone" the better!
I recently bought 2 Cryopak ice packs in green and yellow to use in my lunch bag and they seem to be a lot sturdier than the ice mats. But the ice packs don't let me cool down my hot leftover food like the ice mats do.
I hope Cryopak will figure out a way to make the ice mats more durable!
Good value! I bought two for our kids' Planet Box insulated carry bags since regular hard shell cryopacks are too bulky. I intended to cut the larger sheet in half to have three sheets in rotation, but decided to leave the sets in their overwrap and freeze/use that way! It fits perfectly in the mesh holder inside the carry bag, covers the entire surface of the stainless lid, and the chill lasts a lot longer than with a single sheet! I plan to cut the corners of the packaging because the plastic bag feels brittle when ice-cold. The liquid in the sheets is purified water, so if a puncture happens, there's no worry about contamination! To prevent excess condensation leakage, I lay a washcloth over the package, which makes a damp wipe for hands/mouths after lunch!
These are pretty great! I'll probably order another set. They do a great job of keeping things cold. I love that they are flexible and that you can cut them to size.
I love the flexibility of the ice packs and the ability to have the size I need. The only fallback is it doesn't stay frozen for long. It works well in lunch boxes but not all day. Still a great product, though
These have been perfect for our lunch boxes. Since my kids use them, I honestly don't know if they keep things super cold until lunch, but they haven't complained. Great to fit around a water bottle and sandwich. We've used them for about a year now and have only had one of the cells break open - seems pretty good. I'm buying another set today because I like these better than the larger & heavier ice packs.
Love the flexibility of the mat to use for bumps and bruises. However, it has not performed well in my children's insulated lunchbox. They have a briefcase style lunch box, so I've been looking for a wide flat cold pack instead of the more square style that is traditional. Pack fits great, but doesn't even keep the food cold until lunchtime, let alone till the end of the day (in case there is leftovers). Traditional style ice packs stay very cold, so it's not the lunch box.
This design is great for wrapping around different items and cutting to size. We have other gel freezer "ice" but many times the kids don't lay them flat in the freezer and when they are crumpled and hard, they don't fit in the lunch box. Not a problem with this product- toss anywhere in the freezer and it is fine. Wrap around a yogurt tube and it stays cold. Love this product- buy lots!
Excellent product. I loved it. I could cut to whatever size I needed. It fits well in a childs lunch tote and around items. Sometimes you just need something to fit in a flat space - it works! Lightweight yet durable. Have used them many times now and not had any problems or leakage.
