Design and Functionality
Cute, kid-friendly design has a wide, zippered opening and plenty of interior room for lunch containers of different shapes and sizes. Dabbawalla lunch bags are made of stain-resistant, insulating Ariaprene, so food stays at a safe temperature for hours. Has an easy-to-grip handle and an outer pocket for extra storage or an icepack. The bag stands upright when in use, but lies flat for easy storage. Contains no lead or PVC, and colors are created with Oeko-Tex 100 dyes. CPSIA-certified. Because bags are hand-made, individual designs may vary slightly.

Made of lightweight, insulating 100% toxin-free Ariaprene. Ariaprene is water and abrasion-resistant, has 30% higher insulating properties compared to neoprene, and is extremely lightweight. Made using an environmentally-friendly production process, Ariaprene will fully biodegrade. Plus, it's 100% vinyl-free and lead-free!

Care Instructions
Machine or hand-wash with care on an as-needed basis, in cold water and a mild detergent. Air dry. Spot removers can be used to remove stubborn stains. Because the bag is designed to degrade over time, the more it is washed, the less its useful life will be. An average life expectancy is approximately 20 washes.

I love it! I've been working in schools for over 20 years and have seen my share of gross, smelly lunchboxes. Now that I have a 6 and 4 year old, I have become very picky about their lunchboxes. It MUST be machine- washable! This Dabbawalla lunch box is perfect- it is very large so it can fit everything. AND if something spills, just throw it in the wash. It is pricey but it is worth it. It washes well and my 4 year old daughter loves it. I'll be honest- she has asked me for a Disney character, tv character lunch box but I stuck to my guns and when she saw the Dabbawalla designs, she was thrilled. Go buy this lunchbox! By Naiara T

My son loves his monkey lunch bag. I love that it is machine washable. Even though it costs a little more than others, I think it is worth it. It is well made, fits a good amount in it and it is easy to clean.I have found in the past that if I can't machine wash a lunch box that it barely makes it through a whole school year. I am confident this one will.

I ordered this lunch bag for myself as I am definitely young at heart! I was a little skeptical about the size of the lunch tote, but still couldn't resist ordering it. After receiving it in the mail, I was pleasantly surprised at the size of it. It fits everthing I need and expands a bit because of the fabric. My daughter started kindergarten this year and picked the Free Range lunch bag. She loves the look of it and I love everything else about it. :) I have washed it twice now and have had to spot clean it on multiple occasions. That is the best part to me. A damp cloth and some dish water and voila! red sauce comes right out! It's got a larger mesh pocket on the inside for seperating items and a smaller one on the inside too for an ice pack, etc. At first I felt a little foolish because it seems like so much to pay for a child's lunch box.....and she may not like it come next year.....but the ease of use and quality of the product have made up for it! These bags are adorable. They are roomy enough for the bento boxes we ordered, plus a sippy cup or small thermos, or a piece of fruit. They have a little mesh pocket for an ice pack, and they stay pretty cold throughout the day. I actually got compliments on them from my boys' teacher - they thought these bags were so cute. Super cute Monkey design -- a hit with the elementary school kids! Very durable with netting inside to hold a drink and another pocket to hold napkins, utensils, etc. Great size for a small water bottle, sandwiches, small containers of food. Absolutely love the Dabbawalla Lunch Bag! I was originally skeptical at first as it is not the traditional lunch bag we all grew up with and are used to material wise. However, I am thankful I took a chance. My only regret is I did not order two! My son who is 18 months recently started daycare. I wanted his lunch bag to be special and something that he liked and thought of home when he used it at lunch time. We ordered the Holy Cow as he loves Cows. This lunch bag is everything I hoped for and more! Let me explain....I was a little skeptical that this bag would not keep my sons lunch cold all day at school. I was also concerned about the size being too big. The price, being PVC & lead free, plus the cute modern design made me give the bag a try. My son loves his lunch bag! It keeps his lunch cold all day for 8 plus hours....his ice pack comes home still part frozen! His old "insulated" lunch box from Target never kept his lunch cold all day. His teachers all rave about it too. The design makes it stand apart from all the other kids lunch boxes so his is always easy to find. The size is maybe slightly larger than a tradition lunch box but my son who is 3 carries it with no problems at all. It can be folded/rolled up for compact storage too.View All
