This is a strong study replacement for disposable cups. It does, however, get as hot as the liquid that you put into it. Expect to wait till the coffee cools a bit, or get a wrapper for it. I bought it to keep me in a New York state of mind, so it fills the need. I have larger ceramic cup for drinking coffee that has a rubber wrapper to protect my fingers.
