Design and Functionality
LunchSkins are a sustainable, convenient replacement for plastic baggies, wraps or bulky plastic containers. (See our tips below!) The same size as a larger Ziploc sandwich bag, LunchSkins have a secure Velcro closure that keeps your food in place. Made with the same material that high-end patisseries use to keep baked goods fresh, they’ll hold any food items without absorbing moisture or grease. And, unlike plastic baggies, you can store hot items in the LunchSkin without melting. Plus, all of the bright patterns go together (and with the snack bags and regular sandwich bags versions), so you can create your own custom lunch set! A discrete area to write your (or your child’s) name means you won’t lose or confuse your LunchSkins.
Materials
Made from thick cotton fabric coated with food-safe, moisture-proof polyurethane liner. Fabric has been used for years in bakeries and patisseries and meets all EU and U.S. standards for food contact. The highly-adhesive ink used to screen print fabrics has been independently tested for safety and determined to be lead-free, BPA-free and phthalate-free.
Sustainability
Replaces plastic baggies, wrap and aluminum foil – keeping thousands of bags and unnecessary plastic wrap and foil from the landfill.

Three moms with ten kids among them decided to start this company to help people lead a green lifestyle by making small changes every day – like wasting less and saving more. 3 Green Moms uses minimal packaging made from recycled materials when possible and prints all promotional materials on recycled paper at a local printing company.
Care Instructions
LunchSkins are dishwasher safe – turn them inside out before washing & let them dry completely before using with food. It’s recommended that you wash LunchSkins before the first use. They will soften and fade with use and multiple washings – just like a pair of your favorite old jeans. To keep them newer longer, spot clean them and air dry.

I love these - now I don't have to feel bad about "wasting" ziplock baggies. It doesn't take too long to dry, and I can wash it with a sponge/soap. I'm trying not to put staining food items in it though since other reviews say the bag stains easily. I've used it for sandwiches and apples so far. I would purchase again & recommend.I wish there were more designs like the medium size bag.

I use the large size bag to transport my daughter's baby food and utensils. I can fit a spoon and a small plastic bowl in the bag and then pop it into her diaper bag. These seal well so I don't have to worry about food leaks. After feeding her, I just put everything back into the lunchskin bag and don't have to worry about it until I get home. I've been using this to bring food to work everyday since I bought it. I usually bring a sandwich, but it works well with other things too, like potato chips and fruit. It's VERY easy to wash, unlike ziploc bags, which made them almost impossible for me to reuse. Even just a quick rinse in water will get rid of any crumbs or food residue. By Danielle F

Good size - I can't quite decide between this size and the sandwich size, which is a little cheaper. This size seems to hold everything I need. They seem to hold up well in the washer. The colors are cute (but not annoying - I don't feel like a child taking them to work). There is a smell when you first get them (new), but one wash in the dishwasher and that is gone. Overall, I think I'm sold. We'll see how well the velcro holds up to several washes. By Debra M

My husband and I take our lunch to work everyday. We were using hundreds of plastic baggies each year. I have madde all the changes I thought I could make to be more green until I saw these! They are excellent for our sandwiches and even snacks. They are large enough for everything we have needed to carry with our lunch. We rinse them out each evening, sit them upside down in the drainer until the morning and reload. Excellent buy! Great quality, and makes us feel like we are truly making a difference! I love these and am planning to order more. Why they are great: you can wash them in the dishwasher, the velcro is on the outside and does not stick to your food, they collapse (unlike tupperware) so there is more space in your bag after you eat, and no wasting of plastic bags. Only drawback is that you can't put things that are liquid or have liquid potential in them because they don't seal tightly like a ziploc. Thees are for dry items like a sandwich, nuts, and raw veggies. I'm not sure how long they will last, I would say I've had them for about six months and they are still going strong. By Beverly T

I bought 2 of these bags last month and I am very satisfied. I usually cut my sandwich in 2 and the filling doesn't move around in the bag. There's no need to wrap the sandwich at all, finally!
