These are perfect for kitchen and house clean up- we've used them to clean windows, unidentified sticky messes on the table from the toddler, and cleaning dishes. They wash well in the laundry too and hold up very well. They do get mildly funky after being wet a few times in spite of rinsing and squeezing out the water but still less than the sponge and it vanishes with laundering. I purchased these based on the positive reviews I saw on this website, and I was glad I did. We primarily use them (so far) to wash dishes and clean the kitchen counters. They don't get smelly like dishrags do, and they are easy to sanitize in the microwave. I also like that they don't take up much drawer space. They dry pretty quickly , and the colors and patterns are pretty. We've been using one for 2 weeks, and it seems very durable. There is nothing I love more in my kitchen then the Skoy's. They go through the washer, occasionally the dryer and don't get tossed into the compost for at least a year after they're spent. They don't get smelly like a sponge, they're a sinch to wring out- we leave them to dry on the counter. They clean up everything from grease on the stove to spilled juice on the floor. I usually buy 4 packs every 18 months or so, not because they've been destroyed, but because people are fascinated by them and I end up giving them away. A hard core paper towel user fell in love with them and said she's using less paper towel now. I cannot recommend them high enough, they're the preferred way to clean up our kitchen. By Meredith C

I got these as an apartment-warming gift, for myself. I've only been using them a week, but so far have no urges to go out and buy paper towels or sponges. I've used them for washing dishes, wiping the countertop, cleaning up spills, as "coasters" for wet dishes on the counter after they're washed (I don't have a dish rack yet), and as hot pads (don't have those yet either), and they've done all of these jobs quite well. Unlike a sponge, they dry very quickly, which makes me less paranoid about germs hanging out in there. They seem very sturdy, and I like that they have different textures on either side to help with scrubbing. The colors are fun and bright and look nice sitting around. I don't see myself needing another pack of these or a roll of paper towels for a very long time, which means they're doing their job as reusables perfectly! By heather m

I used those blue thin washable cloths but they would leave wet streaks and never completely dry the surface. They would rip after a while too. I love my Skoy cloths!!! Wipes up the counters and kitchen table without leaving it wet. Just throw it wet into the microwave for a minute to sanitize it. Love that it is made of natural materials and works so well. Dries quickly and tough too! Wished I found out about them earlier. Perfect product! I will be buying these from now on and for gifts. I ordered the Skoy towels because paper towels were one of my last disposable products, one I never thought I'd be able to get replace. I've been using the first towel for a month now for kitchen counter cleaning and haven't had to go on to the next one yet. I just rinse, hang to dry or put in the microwave for a minute to kill germs. It's holding up extremely well. And it's textured enough to really do a good job cleaning the counter. Skoy "Paper Towel Replacement" is not very accurate name. They need to come up with something a bit broader. This little piece of foam is a giant when it comes to what it can do, not just in the kitchen, but all around the house. There is not enough space here to list the number of things I use this item for. As it wears, I designate it to another job. Paper towels would not last the way this towel does. I like giving these to my adult children in their bag of holiday goodies. Although I know bleach is no-no, when my skoys get really cruddy and nasty looking after a month or two of use and washings, I soak them a while in a mild bleach/water solution. This brightens them up and sanitizes them for further use. But of course it also causes faster deterioration of my skoys so it's a trade off. These are nice looking and fast drying. I converted to fabric towels and products like these in a small basket on my counter where my paper towel holder used to be. I gave up using sponges years ago, opting to use sponge-cloths instead for washing dishes and wiping down counters. They don't build up mildew the way a sponge does, and if they do you just toss them in the dishwasher. But they tend to break down or tear quickly. When I saw Skoy cloths at my kitchen supply store, I thought they might be a little more durable, so I gave them a try. YAY. The Skoy cloths last at least twice as long as a sponge cloth, AND I can toss them in the compost pile when they finally give up the ghost. Win/win.Of course, when I went to buy more, they'd stopped carrying them. Googling for them led me to this site, where I also found a host of other great stuff.

The fact that these were sort of stiff had me thinking I wouldn't like them. But now I am addicted to them. They work awesome for cleaning and especially window and glass cleaning. One skoy will clean the whole set of sliding glass doors, inside and out, and I used to need 8-10 paper towels. They wash and hang to dry easily.I seriously love these now and think I'll be getting a bunch to give as Christmas gifts.

I am trying to cut down on the amount of garbage my home makes and I have left paper towels as my last item to get rid of. So I bought the Skoy Paper Towel cloths. I was skeptical that I would like them. When I opened them I thought oh man these are not going to be good. They felt like a soft card board. But once I got them wet they were awesome!!! I now use them for every thing!!! They clean my granite beautifully and are great for windows as well. They also absorb more then any paper towel does!! And that is saying a lot. I have hundreds of dollars of reuseit offered products, but the SKOY PAPER TOWEL REPLACEMENT are THE BEST. I like the colors just to keep them separate for certain chores. I love the Skoy Paper Towel Replacement, Set of 4. At first I was a little confused - when they're completely dry they're hard and scratchy. But once you get them wet, wring them out as much as possible, they can clean just about any surface! They're fun to use, because you know you're helping the environment and when they get dirty, you just throw 'em in the washing machine. My husband was skeptical and now he will only use the Skoys - no paper towels. We're ordering more so we can use them to clean the bathroom, wipe up messes on the floor, etc. while still keeping the others pretty clean for use in the kitchen. Of course, if there's ever any question, you can always microwave your Skoy to sanitize it. This is my dream kitchen tool! By Cindy M

I started by giving only one away, then was a friend of hers asked for one, a neighbor overheard. I was looking for a product to replace my paper towel habit, and I've found it. I have 2 little children who make tons of messes, and I was sick of feeling so wasteful. I have to admit that I didn't read the product description well before ordering. I ordered 2 four packs. They were smaller than I anticipated, but I am not disappointed one bit. My husband even commented on how much they absorb and how sturdy they are. We haven't bought one roll of paper towels yet. We use them for dish washing, wiping counters, table and even floors. Every mess is tackled and all the grime washes out completely. One added bonus is they air dry VERY quickly. I am impressed, and will buy more again when needed. By Cindy M

I got the white ones first, then ordered these colored ones. I keep wanting people to try them, but I won't give them away. I have a color for the bathroom sink, one for the toilet, one for the kitchen, etc. But I did find I had to start marking them, my memory, you know. I finally gave one away the other day to someone who was so excited after using it at MY HOUSE to clean! I gave her a new one, though and the instruction label. My new favorite product, the Skoy cloth is the best alternative to paper towels I have found. It feels almost like cloth when it is wet, and dries pretty quickly after use. If it gets stained I either put it in the dishwasher with a load of dishes or put a drop of dawn on it and rinse. Very versatile, great for wiping tables and countertops, soaking up spills, cleaning the inside of the microwave, almost anything you would use a paper towel for. I have dramatically cut down on paper towel usage, which saves trees, money, and storage space for all those bulk packages I used to keep on hand! I like the cheerful colors of the Skoy cloths, and I see that they come in white as well. All in all, very pleased with Skoy cloths!! By Valerie H

Another reuseable I won't be without again! I've only had these a short time, but have literally put them through the wringer. I can tell these are going to be around my kitchen from here on out! They are holding up far beyond what I expected -- especially since I can wash & reuse, and reuse, and reuse! Nice colors and higher absorbency than expected -- they work more like a sponge than a piece of cut-up old T-shirt when I need to mop up water. However, they also clean the bathroom mirror quite nicely without leaving streaks! I've washed some in the laundry once so far, and they came out looking perfect. I love these things! At first I thought, wow - really expensive for a 4-pack, but I had a little extra money, so I ordered them anyway. I use one for a few days to wipe the counters, the table, wipe up spills, etc. I rotate every 2-3 days, throwing the dirty one in the wash and getting out a clean one. The original 4-pack I bought lasted well over a year (they are actually STILL going strong - they just got too grungy looking and are now used for the more heavy-duty cleaning tasks). The Skoy paper towel/rag replacement is very functional. Dries faster than cloth rags and seems more absorbent. I keep it clean by sticking it in the dishwasher which I run once a week. While I agree that they are great for reducing the number of paper towels used, I still tend to reach for a paper towel for extra "messy" spills. I just cannot reuse something that has wiped the dirty floor or cleaned up raw meat juices. I have however used them for everything else from washing dishes to cleaning counters and cabinets. Thank you for creating this towel. I used it to clean up after making grape jelly. WOW! Who would have thoought it would clean up that kind of mess and come clean with a minimal amount of scrubbing. My husband left cat and dog food all over the counter. He said he didn't have anything to clean the mess up with. When I told him hecold use the Skoy towel he said he didn't want to ruin it. Don't get me wrong, I like these a lot, but I don't think they replace paper towels. I DO use FEWER paper towels. These cloths are excellent for cleaning, I've found; you can scrub with them like a sponge, wipe like a dish rag, and they absorb a fair amount. I think it's a huge bonus that you can rinse, ring, and nuke them for sanitization. I will buy more when these wear out, but that might be a long time - they seem very durable. By Linda O

I use these for cleaning and they have held up well for me. I love the colors as I use one color for bathrooms, another for kitchen, another for windows, etc. I still use paper towels occasionally but these have allowed me to cut down considerably on the number of paper towels I use. i ordered the 4-pack so i brought one to work, gave one to a friend and also brought one to work. they work great! it also absorbed a whole cup of spilled coffee without any problem. the only thing i was kinda bummed about, though this isn't a complaint, was that you can't really use them for cleaning windows with any spray-on cleaner because when they're dry they're the texture of light cardboard almost so the only way top do that is to get them wet first which kinda defeats the purpose of cleaning the windows. but, eh, that's why i have a cleaning cloth. all-around great product. thank you! These towels are somewhere between a sponge and a towel. They stay damp, but aren't as wet as a sponge or wet towel can be. They're good for cleaning counter and stove type surfaces and are sturdy so you can scrub with them (without a bunch of wetness squeezing out like a sponge). Like another reviewer said, I use paper towels not only to clean but to dry as well. These towels do leave my countertop a little wet, so I am using a drying towel behind them. Therefore, I wouldn't call them a prefect replacement for paper towels, but with another towel for drying, they do serve that purpose for me. By Deborah W

I love these towels! Wet 'em, wipe, rinse, hang to dry. Job done. Cuts down on the use of my cleaners except I like to disinfect from time to time. I have some in the kitchen and put one in each bathroom for quick cleanings. I like them so much I just got some more for my mom for mother's day! Ha. They dry in the shape you hang them so I drape them and prop them to dry in funny shapes which my 4 yr old thinks is cool. I've noticed my reduction in use of paper towels. These reusable paper towel replacements are one of the best green items I have used. They are super absorbent, clean better than a sponge and are easy to clean and sanitize. I have thrown mine in the washer and dryer and they have come out great!! I have only just started using these so I don't know how long they will last, but I will definitely buy them again. I needed to order more because I shared some with my family and friends. These are wonderful replacements for a dish cloth. I use them to wash dishes, counters, stove, just about anything. Unlike dish clothes these do not tend to smell even after a week of use. I pop them in the wash and they look like new. I even use them to wash my windows. I use is hot water (no soap) and dry with my bamboo cloth. Sparkling clean with no streaks! We have definitely cut down on our paper towel usage too. By Matthew P

This product is probably fine if you know what you're getting. For some reason all of the product's hype about replacing paper towels made me think they were more towel-like than they are. They're really like thin sponges. I've been looking for a product to use to clean my kitchen counters that is sanitary and not wasteful (ala paper towels). I found it in Skoy! I was a bit hesitant to try them, as I've tried biodegradable cleaning towels before...they just don't hold up. The Skoy towels, first off are pretty colors, don't look dorky hanging on my refrigerator (between cleanings) and work fantastic! They are sturdy and just the right size for cleaning the counters. I LOVE this. It hasn't replaced paper towels for a spill - but I use it for everything else. Because they are different colors, I color code them by room. I keep one in each bathroom and kitchen and do spot cleaning now so things stay cleaner. This is not linty and doesn't hold as much water as a cloth, which can leave alot of water behind. Since incorporating Skoy into our household cleaning jobs, we have dramatically reduced our use of paper towels. Honestly, I don’t see why we would ever buy paper towels again. We use Skoy everywhere - kitchen, dishes, bathroom and general cleaning. The colors help remind us what Skoy is for what job. I've been using these for several weeks and am thrilled. They make a "statement" by sitting in the holder formerly reserved for paper towels. They absorb as much as a sponge but dry quickly, can be washed in the washing machine though I air dry. Some stains -- like coffee spills -- have not come out in the wash, but considering the purpose of these, I'm not concerned about stains. So far, a great product. By Wendy H

An effort to help the environment is a good thing. I use these, but my husband refuses to give up his sponges with a scrubbie side. There are times when you do need a scrubbie side, but I'm okay with using the skoy as long as a dish or whatever is washed right away or at least is allowed to soak.
