I have been looking for the perfect replacement to the disposable water bottle. So I have been looking for a water bottle with the narrow mouth, and small size to fit in my cup holder in my vehicle. The Takeya is my first GLASS water bottle. It has a narrow mouth, which is still larger than a regular disposable bottle so I can easily add the half-moon ice from my home refrig ice-maker. The area of the silicone sleeve covers a lot of the glass, good in case I drop it, but it still has the see-through window on 2 sides so I can watch as I fill it up. Glass is much heavier than plastic so I have noticed that I only use it at home, but if needed, it does fit in the cup holder in my car. I like the way it looks, there is no aftertaste (it's glass after all), the size is about right, and if I had it to do over, I would purchase it again.

I am not at all happy with this bottle. I bought them for my kids because the stainless ones in there lunches were taking quite a beating and I prefer a glass bottle for the taste and smell. However the opening is too small. Ice doesn't fit and I find it difficult to hand wash. Seems to retain the moisture inside even on my drying rack it takes a long time to dry out inside. The glass is very thick. It is extremely heavy. Completely impractical for my kids going to school, sports etc. We use them for road trips and in the house so we know who's is who's by the color and ultimately can use less of our regular glasses throughout the day.
