Love the ease of using and cleaning of these,the feel of the bamboo in my mouth. Do not like how big the flap is, it doesn't cover the utensils enough and is very difficult to snap. I bought this set to have at my desk at work since I was wasting so much plastic ware in the course of a week. I thought it might be a pain to have to go wash them on my lunch break but it's not that bad at all and they are very easy to clean! The fork is pretty sharp so it would work well for salad or meat and the spoon works well for soup or yogurt! I like how the case is made from recycled plastic! These are hands-down the most gorgeous set of utensils I've owned. I'm very proud to 'show them off' at work.However, before I had even taken the set out of my lunch bag at work (on the very first day after I had purchased them), the chopsticks had already punched a hole at the end of the carrying case. I had not even used the set at that point. Unless I use a rubber band to hold the set together, all the utensils will come out of the bag. (I'm considering duct tape to fix the case.)

I purchased this set as a gift. Here is the recipients review: The carrying case is very handy, although the snap can be a bit hard to snap up with the utensils in and sometimes it feels like the chopsticks might fall out. The utensils are good quality and have a finish that makes sure food doesn't stick to them or stain the bamboo. The knife was slightly curved in my set (not sure if that's how it's supposed to be). I use the fork almost every day for lunch. I always get compliments and people ask where I got it. I work with kids at an elementary school and the bamboo knife is perfect for opening up their plastic snack bags. Unfortunately, after the bamboo chop sticks fell out, there was some loose space in the case. I had it clipped onto my purse and the knife and spoon fell out. I have a couple of sets that I take with me all the time, and they're especially useful now that the baby is eating solids and I use these to feed him when we're eating out. I liked these so much that I bought two sets for my mom to use at work!To-Go Ware also has excellent customer service, I wrote them about a spoon I broke (accidentally sat on it after putting it in my back pocket, these are very durable otherwise) and wanted to see if I can just purchase another spoon without replacing the whole set. They sent me a new spoon free of charge!

Hi! I bought three of these little cases for Christmas gifts,so don't yet have my friends' feedback, but for me, I came within an inch of buying an extra, probably for myself!
As a hiker, I have long had a set of carved wood utensils that my dad made, which tidily roll up in a cotton napkin, so am used to how handy and easy to care for these are. You never have to worry about sanitation because bamboo is aseptic; if you prefer, you can just rinse them. For daily lunches, these little gems are perfect because the case is slim, can be carabinered to your lunch box, purse or belt, or
fit inside! Further, it fits my values for re-using resources as the case is made of recycled plastic stuff, and lastly, the colours are very attractive, and make being caring cooler than wasteful!

I really like my To-Go bamboo utensil set, but I haven't even used it yet and the bag has a hole. The chopsticks poked a hole in the bottom by the seam after taking out to look at. These are wonderful. I don't use a lot of utensils when I pack my lunch but when I do, I always get stares and then a thousand questions about my bamboo fork, spoon, chopsticks. They're easy to clean off (I use a damp towel so the wood doesn't absorb a lot of water) and they don't transfer food tastes or smells. I'm glad I got these, even if I don't use them often. I purchased a set for me to use when I am packing a lunch or where they use disposable silverware. I throw it in my work bag and it is always there with me. I love the fact that it not only has a knife, fork and spoon, but chopsticks as well. The only drawback to the case is if I am not anywhere I can wash the silverware right away. I bought To-Go Ware to use when we take lunch places so my regular silverware doesn't somehow "disappear". I love these! They are small enough to be easily portable (like in a purse or lunch bag) but big enough that you aren't using "little" silverware. I washed them in the dishwasher and they came out great. We got two sets of the bamboo utensils, for our daughters' lunches. We took the knives and chopsticks out, so the pouch is a bit big, but it still closes well, and the hook snaps onto the inside of their lunch boxes. They love the pink color of the case, which seems sturdy. The only problem so far is that after the first use one of the spoons chipped a bit, though since that first chip, no additional chips or problems have occurred. These are quite handy to have around. You can keep one set in your vehicle or purse so you never have to use plastic. They're also great to keep in your desk at work. The p.e.t. holder keeps all the utensils together so you don't risk losing part of your set and the caribiner clip makes it easy to carry it with you. My original intent was to use these for camping but I've since realized that they have sooo many more uses! They're great to throw in my lunch bag for work, and I don't have to worry about grabbing the only fork in the office before it's gone. The only downside to the set is the knife. I bought one To-Go Ware utensil set to carry in my purse and try it out. I liked it enough to buy more for my lunch, travel, golf and gym bags and both vehicles. They have been very useful for takeout meals, road food, picnics, office lunches, post-game snacks, etc. The carry case clip keeps each set where it should be when not in use. So far I haven't had the problems some have reported, but this could be because I don't use one set all the time. I find that the utensil design and construction works best with light foods of low to medium density. The wooden knife wasn't meant to cut chewy meats, and the spoon's shallow bowl makes eating chunky soups and stews a hard go. However, the curved knife lets one scoop up and push most foods into the fork tines for lifting to the mouth, so I don't think anyone will starve using this set! By Jessica O

I love the bamboo eating utensils. They are light weight and sturdy. I have a small hand and these fit it very well. They wash up quickly and easily. We use them when we picnic, camp, etc. They sure do beat plastic utensils that break all too easily. I have not tried to cut steak with the knife yet, but it works well for spreading and slicing PB&J's, sandwich bread, pickles, etc. The carry case keeps them in one place and ready to use. I keep sets of these in each car, in my lunch kit, and in the kitchen in case I need them for a picnic. I suppose I could just have used some old camping silverware I have lying around, but I love the little case and the chopsticks and the fact that they stay together so easily. The fork and knife take a little getting used to. The fork doesn't stab into lettuce and other things as well as a metal one does, but it also doesn't break like a throwaway plastic one does. The knife is oddly bowed on my newer sets. It's straight on the older ones. I'm trying to figure out why they bent it. I haven't tried to cut with it, but it does help scoop food onto the fork. Mostly, I like these because it lets me have cutlery available for any occasion, including drive-ups and takeout at the office, and I don't have to use plastic. By Karine H

I now have two sets of these utensils. I have the original version in the wrap case and have used them for some time now. These are a slightly smaller version in a more compact carrying case. I don't eat away from home that often any more, but when I do I enjoy using these utensils so much more than the plastic provided at fast food places and large parties. I like this as it is a complete set of utensils. I purchased this set and the Guyot MicroBites at the same time to see which one I like better. The utensils in this set are much more usable since they aren't trying to fit multiple utensils in one. The carrying case works well and they are light, but the carabiner clip is cheap and awkwardly placed, so essentially useless in my experience. I also wish the utensils were just a bit shorter (more like the length of the MicroBites), so they would be even more portable, since I like to take them with me out to lunch and fit them in my pants or jacket pocket. The knife also could be a bit sharper, but I guess that is what you get with bamboo, but it has done the trick so far, although with some extra effort needed. By Johnna Y

I didn't like this set. I really wanted to stop using plastic utensils for lunch at work, but I wasn't happy with this set. The average fork has a slight bend to it to fit into your mouth nicely. The fork from this set did not and felt awkward. Also should make a case to securely hold the utensils inside, so they don't swing out and get touched by something else to make them dirty. I really like these utensils! I use them almost every day with my lunch. They are cute and sustainable... I never use plastic anymore! My only complaints are (1) the knife is not made for lefties, the curve makes it REALLY difficult to spread myself some yummy peanut butter (2) the case gets flimsy without the chopsticks -- although I regularly bring food that requires chopsticks. I bought this set to replace my old To-Go-Ware which I bought in Dec. 2007. I like that the fork has a curve to it unlike its predecessor. I don't like the carrying case because if you don't have the chopsticks in it (which are the longest utensils), the utensils do not fit snugly and fall out. Unfortunately, my fork broke (presumably from a defect since I hadn't used it that much) shortly after I received the set. Customer service at reusable bags was very helpful & sent me a new one :) By Mary M

I LOVE my Bamboo Utensil Set! I have used the knife, fork and spoon on a daily basis here at work. No more plastic! At first I wasn't sure about how well a wooden knife would work but it's worked fine on everything I've used it on. I bought my husband a set and surprise, he has used his set everyday too. The actual utensils are great. The spoon is nice and deep, which my kids love. The knife is not particularly good for cutting, but will do in a pinch and is great for spreading. Very easy to clean, too. The only, minor flaw is the carrier. The closing loop is very loose and it really doesn't protect the utensils to keep them clean because it is open on the sides. We use this for everything....even when we go out to eat at sandwich shops or ice cream shops instead of using the plastic. It is so light weight that it is no bother to carry. I keep a small bag with the sandwich wraps ( that double as place mats ), small Sigg bottles ( to avoid straws ) and these utensils. These are AWESOME! They are not oversized or misshapen to be challenging to eat from, they nest so cleverly, the tines on the fork are sensible and functional, they are lightweight and comfortable in the hand, the case is unexpectedly supple and lightweight, and the chopsticks are a GREAT touch. Overall they are top quality and an absolute pleasure to use and carry. I am excited that these are bamboo, which don't bother my teeth like stainless sometimes can, which is oh-so-sustainable AND so positive for the atmosphere; plus I am so thrilled to finally have such a fun alternative to that horrid plasticware. I'd give more than five stars if it were possible. In fact I am actually considering just switching my kitchen flatware out to these... I can't see how we ever got along without these!View All
