November 2010: Supporting Surfrider's Rise Above Plastics Campaign

For the entire month of November 2010, we donated 1% of sales to support the Surfrider Foundation and their Rise Above Plastics Campaign (through 1% For the Planet).

Surfrider caught our attention with their work hard/play hard mentality, progressive no BS attitude, and clear leadership in protecting our waterways. Our donation will be used to help fund their "Rise Above Plastics" educational campaign designed to reduce our global dependence on single-use plastic items such as plastic bags and bottles.

In addition to reducing our plastic footprint, the organization is aligned with our beliefs that reducing, reusing and recycling are simple actions that have a big impact. Visit Surfrider's Rise Above Plastics site to learn more about the campaign and take their Rise Above Plastics pledge.

To date, we've donated more than $200,000 to like-minded organizations committed to real change, including 1% For the Planet and other donations.
