Materials
Made from 5.2 oz. 55/45 hemp/cotton fabric. Hemp fabric is 4-times stronger than cotton fabric of the same weight. Unlike conventionally-grown cotton, hemp has no known insect enemies and a high resistance to disease, so there is no need to use harmful pesticides in its cultivation. Screen-printed locally with PVC-free ink. After some investigation, we discovered that this method of screening creates less waste and lasts longer than water and soy-based inks.

Love the short handles/long handles combination. Good mid-sized/average shopping bag. The variable handles were the the deciding factor in my purchase. It is good quality and solid. Of course the smiley face is the coup de grace.

These bags are sturdy. Four 2 liter bottles of soda do not even put a strain on them. I love that you can either use the short handles or the long ones. I was hesitant to spend the money on them but after going through several of the 99 cent ones that you get at a store, I wanted something that was not going to tear from the strain of groceries for two teenage boys! I also hated paying for a bag that advertised a particular store and like the simple smiley face and info on these bags. I had bought a couple of 100% cotton ones at BJ's but the handles are starting to rip already. The hemp is a much stronger fiber. The store brand ones were shaped and had to be folded to store or carry them - these are easy to just shove a handful of them into one bag. I just love them and would highly recommend them especially to someone who buys a lot of groceries like me.

This bag definitely makes a statement! I like the play on the disposable smiley face bags. The double handles are very convenient. I like the option of being able to place the bag on my shoulder if I need my hands free. The hemp fabric is soft, not too thick and easily foldable so you could carry this bag in your purse or diaper bag if you wanted to.
