I've had this set of bags for over 2 years. They've been used weekly and still look as good as the day I got them. I'm now getting a set for my sister as a birthday gift, because she keeps trying to take mine! I have had my bag for over a year, use it everyday to take my lunch and then when I go grocery shopping once a week. I have laundered it several times. It has held up well. I bought these bags for my parents as a Christmas gift. They really liked the size of the bag, the pockets on the front, and the strength of the material. Since they usually use the brown paper bags at the grocery store and accumulate many of them throughout the year, they were excited to have a reusable alternative. I am not sure if they will use the produce bags, but I think that is a habit they might start getting into if they start relying more on the bigger reusable bags, so I liked that the produce bags were included in what I purchased. I was a little nervous spending so much on a set of bags I had never seen before, but I was NOT disappointed. I used these 4 bags along with two bags I had already and came home from a BIG shopping trip without a single plastic bag. I was amazed how much they could hold. The checkout lady was also impressed that they stood up by themselves, which made it super easy for her to load them up. I ordered them in black and was very pleased with the quality and roominess. The material is very durable and the front pockets are handy for small items. I absolutely love these bags. I am so glad I purchased them. I always hated those store plastic bags that would slosh around my car trunk. I should have bought them sooner. I can't believe how much I can fit in these bags and they are very sturdy. I can fit into these four bags what would normally take ten to twelve store plastic bags. I love the products on this site. Recently I decided that I needed a more durable reusable grocery bag set. This one really fits the bill. I LOVE THESE BAGS!!! I went food shopping yesterday and bagged all 95 items in 6 bags. The cashier remarked that she couldn't believe that I got "all that" in 6 bags. These bags are very deceiving to the eye. They are very large inside and hold much more than the average paper bag. They are also very strong. I've loaded them down with a gallon of milk and many, many canned goods and they take it all! Never again will I use paper or plastic. Two added bonuses, my store gives me 5 cents off my shopping order for every reusable bag I use and I love the feeling that I'm doing something good for the environment. Well worth the investment! This set is outstanding. The large ACME bags hold a ton, and only do they hold a lot, they are VERY strong and sturdy. I've put 6 2liters in one bag and it held up great. The vegetable bags are easy to use with their drawstring closure. Just remember that they're going to add a bit of weight to anything that you buy as they are not made of flimsy plastic. But the increase in price is nearly negligible. All in all this set is a great starter kit, and I'll definitely be purchasing more of both items. By yvonne m

These bags are pretty doggone useful. I got $200 of groceries into 3 of the bags...without crushing anything. It probably would have taken 10 plastic bags (minimum) to get them all to the car. I have really enjoyed using this bag. The first time I used it the bagger at the grocery wanted to stop when the bag was only 1/2 full. He was afraid of overloading the bag. I told him to fill it up. I want to test the strength of the bag. We ended up loading the bag with heavy canned goods and it didn't even seem to stress the seams on the bag at all. Great investment! i keep 3 in my car and my husband keeps 1 in his. the green color was a color that we both liked..i wanted something a little fun! they hold up well, even under a lot of weight. even when i spend $100 at the grocery store it almost always fits in the 3 i keep w/me - each bag holds quite a bit! they do not stand up, but if you grab the top of one of the sides it will stay "out/up" while you load it. i have no washed these yet. the cotton fruit/veggie bags look huge when you first get them, but shrink quite a bit in their first washing. the large bag could still hold a bunch of potatoes, the small bag can hold 1 large green pepper. Love these bags!!! I've only been using them about a month but they seem very well constructed. They hold a lot of groceries, and can handle a fair amount of weight. We buy RiceDream in the 1/2 gallon tetrapaks and the bags handle the weight. The cotton produce bags are nice, too. However, would suggest a "hard" (semi hard) bottom be available ( I made one out of cardboard) as the bags sag some if loaded to heavily and for some reason, when you bring your own bag, the checker's think you want them loaded heavily even though I give them four bags at once!@@ :) I am a happy customer. This is a wonderful, lightweight, sturdy set of grocery bags. When I present them to retailers, whether of groceries or other goods, the standard response I get is; "Oh...what cool bags!". Though they are said to have the same footprint as regular brown paper grocery bags, somehow I think that they hold quite a bit more, but maybe this is because the clerks all pack them a bit fuller to make sure all of my purchases will fit. I only got four of them...gotta make it all fit...and it always does, usually with one bag left over - perfect for a family of four's once-weekly shopping trip. Here's a tip to help you remember to use your new bags...stow 'em on the passenger seat next to you in your car and you'll be looking at them every time you stop your car to do anything! I gave a second set to my daughter on her birthday and she loves them too (family of three). I sent the author a few comments that included a positive review of the attributes of your bags. 2) Whole Foods gives 5 cents for each bag that would have otherwise been used. You may wish to consider highlighting this offer on your website and other retail operations who do similarly such as Lululemon (25 cents). I was really excited about this bag, because I already have some of the ACME earthtotes and I LOVE them. And I thought this was the exact same thing, except it's made out of recycled plastic bottles and how cool is that? However, upon receiving the bags, I realized that they are thinner and don't stand up on their own quite as well as the other. Not a bad bag, but the regular earthtote is better. By Stephanie P

I love these babs. In fact, I get very upset when I realize that I left the bags in the other car. I love these bags for the following reasons: 1. that I can get everything in the 4 bags that I have that normally would take 6-7 plastic bags at the store. 2. that these bags are made from recycled plastic. 3. that I am conserving oil consumptiion by using them. I am so impressed with these bags that we gave a set to my daughter in Seattle - who loves them!
