Design and Functionality
The reuseit Recycled-PET Mesh Ultra Compact Tote is an updated version of the customer-favorite reuseit Workhorse Original. It's made from recycled-PET nylon mesh that is incredibly-strong, super-lightweight and stylish. Weighs less than 1.5 ounces, yet each bag can hold over 25 pounds.
Each ultra-compact pouch opens into a heavy-duty, water-and mildew-resistant tote that is a roomy 14" x 16" x 6." In addition to using it as a shopping bag, its quick-dry, breathable fabric is perfect for outdoor activities (e.g. a beach bag). This tote has a truly innovative feature, it folds into its own mini-sack attached inside the bag. It is impossible to lose the storage pouch, since it's attached to the bag. Once stuffed into its pouch, it measures a mere 2" x 3" x 2," easily fitting into the palm of your hand and small enough to stash in a purse or pocket.
Compact and durable, our reuseit Recycled-PET Stuff Sack was designed to make remembering your reusable shopping bags easy. Bucket-shaped, it leaves lots of room for five or more ultra-compact shopping bags or string bags. Barrel lock keeps contents secure. Made from safe recycled plastics. Also makes a great snack bag.

EcoCircle provides a closed-loop recycling system for polyester products, producing a recycled fiber with the same strength and durability as new fiber. However, unlike virgin nylon, it doesn't require the use of petroleum, so this cradle-to-cradle system reduces trash as well as oil consumption. Unlike cheaper versions of recycled PET, our next-generation Recycled PET fabric, blended with nylon, is as beautiful and strong as it is sustainable. Using recycled PET is smart - it cuts down on waste and minimizes damage to the environment by conserving oil, energy and non-renewable resources. In the U.S. alone, over 45 billion plastic containers ended up in landfills in 2006.

These are the BEST bags ever. I bought a set because they were on sale and as soon as I got them I got right back on to order several sets more to have on hand to give as gifts to people, because they are so great I want all my loved ones to have one. They fold down easily into the small pouch and weigh nothing in your bag. This is the only bag that I never fail to always have with me. I use them when purchasing anything--clothes, pharmacy, everything. The colors are great and the quality is beautiful. I use the black one as a very sleek workout bag--it's perfect and looks great. I can't recommend these enough, and I want to makes sure Reusit continues to carry them! I also recommend these over the workhorse variety--these are the only ones that are made to go on your shoulder. By Jillian C

3.0 Might try a different style next time

These bags are very convenient. I like how small they fold down, and I keep them in their sack in my car so I don't forget them. I think I would like the regular style better than the tote style, though, because I'm worried that the bag will eventually tear where the handles are sewn on. The material is very thin. It holds heavy, pointy things like boxes and cans just fine, but one time I accidentally let it bump against the ground while I was carrying it, and the concrete scuffed a little hole in the bag. I LOVE reuseable bags - and use them faithfully. I bought these bags to wrap Christmas presents and loved them so much I could only part with two of them! I knit so I always have a project in a mesh bag and usually am able to start up a conversation with another knitter that sees my project through the mesh bag. These bags are also a MUST at the farmers market where long celery, chard, and baguettes have no problem staying in place!View All
