Design & Functionality

The ACM-071 replaces our ACM-07R. The basic design of the bag is the same, but we've added a few handy features (adjustable strap & zipper on the front pocket).

My son is halfway through his second school year using the same bag; my daughter has used hers for half of the year. We love these bags because they hold plenty for their lunches, and stand up to machine washing. We just turn the bags inside out and close the velcro and haven't had problems with up to three washings a week. (We live in a humid climate in the winter, so we machine dry the bags as well. I'm sure this isn't recommended, but it hasn't damaged the bags that we've had for two years now.) My husband & I sometimes have to squeeze in our lunch containers, but we've always found a way to make them fit. These bags are durable and do the job for our family. Thanks for a great product!

I bought a PET Insulated lunch bag for my Husband. He carries it with a 32 oz. water bottle and snack to work every day. It is washable and the black smudges washed off easily. One day he brought refrigerated items back home with him. They were no longer cold. It is a very nice tote.

I like the fabric of this lunch bag and how well it's made. It is quite small - a pint-sized soup container barely fits in the bottom of this. It's the size of a small paper lunch bag. Not quite what I needed for mt lunches. I'll use this for snacks when going out instead.

I can't understand why so many people gave this bag good grades. The strap is way too narrow for comfort. The velcro that keeps the bag shut isn't strong and the flap that closed over the top to keep the bag shut isn't long enough. I good bit will hold inside this bag, which is nice. The outside pocket is a good addition. The material has held up okay so far, but the velcro is terrible and the narrow strap is very uncomfortable over the shoulder.

I had this lunch bag in the old style that had the pocket (but no zipper) and loved it, so when it got lost, I bought 2 for my boys take their lunch in. I was a little disappointed on the size - the old style was a little bigger and I really miss that. That being said this should do fine for my young sons (6&4) to take their lunch in. And I LOVE the fabric! It never cracks unlike insulated bags with vinyl on the inside. And the zipper is a nice addition!

I was happy to find out that the Leak-Proof Glasslock Food Containers by Snapware that I ordered (11.4 ounce rectangular) fit perfectly in this bag. I put in two plus an ice pack and a piece of fruit. But it isn't way insulated, so an ice pack doesn't really keep the top container cold all day.

I bought this lunchbox for my partner to take to work every day. It was something he picked out of a few options. He is completely satisfied with the bag, it is unassuming, a nice color and a decent size. As the lunch packer though, I wish it was larger or their were different sizes, I pack him a breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack and it is a tight squeeze. Great product overall though.

I bought this lunch bag to replace another reuseit lunch bag that I forgot on the Metra train and which was tossed out. (Note to Metra: why do you toss out the reusable lunch bags with the lunch? Surely your employees can simply toss the lunch and bring the reusable lunch bags in lost and found?)



It's nothing fancy--a reusable version of a brown bag--but it does the trick. It holds a sandwich, water, fruit, etc. The carrying strap makes it easy to haul around and the outside zipped pocket is handy for utensils, napkins, and so on.

The folded top edge has a short strip of velcro, so it does not entirely "seal." I wish the velcro were longer. However, by the time I eat lunch, my food seems to still be cold. I use an ice pack. I show off the labels indicating it was made with recycled materials, which is what I was looking for in this product. Also, future shoppers should note this is a traditional lunch bag, so that constrains the shape and size of food containers you can fit inside.

This is a really nice bag, although a bit small. I was expecting a bag similar to the ones I purchased a year ago, but this one does not have the inner compartment for an icepack to keep food cold. The outside zippered pocket is nice, but not functional for my needs. Bring back the bigger, insulated lunchbox with an icepack pocket inside, please!

I like the fact that the bag is made from recycled material, and it keeps my food cold. But it is much smaller than expected, and it's tough to fit a frozen meal (I use Kashi meals) inside of it (if I take the meal out of the box it fits just fine). Otherwise it works great!

I saw these bags reviewed in the NY Times and the review said that they could easily carry one - two bottles of wine - and that drove me to your website and I bought two. I love the style, weight, and insulation of the bag but would like a few changes in the design before I order more! 1) Bag shape is perfect but I was chagrined to discover that the bag isn't long (tall) enough for some bottles - I use it to carry two bottles of chilled wine as we love to picnic with friends, and have the bag isn't quite tall enough for some of the wines we like to carry. We can't close the top of the bag so we have to select shorter bottles if we want to carry them the bag. 2) Strap could be twice as long to comfortably carry a bottle of wine in the bag over the shoulder. As it is it's too short for shouldering. I hope you can make these small changes in the future because there is no other bag out there quite like it!

I love how TALL these bags are. They stack food containers neatly and snugly, in addition to holding a Klean Kanteen. If you won't be stashing it in the fridge there's enough room on the outside pocket for a small and slim ice pack, which I believe can even be purchased here. The only thing that I was a bit bumbed about was the loose threads on the stitching, which didn't look very nice so I had to cut a few off.

These lunch bags are so great. I bought one last year for my daughter to take her lunch to school, and it performed even better than I expected. It's insulated, so great for school lunch, easily washable, large enough to hold anything I thought to pack, and it's sturdy (still no ripped seams or any noticeable wear after a year of rough use by a first grader). I would recommend buying more than one of these, though, as when they get wet from spills or whatever, you may need to wash it and allow it to dry before reuse. It helps to have another one or two in backup, and the price is so reasonable that it's definitely been worth it for us to own several. Also, the adults in the family use them to carry snacks and drinks when we're on outings and want to bring our own food and drink. I can't say enough good things about these bags.

I was extremely pleased after the first use as I was concerned that it might not keep the food cold because the materials were so lightweight. I bought one of these to replace my large, clunky lunch box for work. It was a bit smaller than I expected when I opened it, but it's just large enough to fit my work day's meal (two 16 ounce bottles, two wrap-n-mat sandwich bags, two bags of chips, and three cereal bars). It's also very easy to clean; just throw it in the washer whenever you do laundry! I just wish that the handle was a little longer.

Great little lunch bag. I love the fact that it is made from recycled plastic. My son takes it to school with a sandwich wrapped in a Happy Sac, a juice box or his Sigg water bottle, bag of chips, yogurt and a fruit. Everything fits nicely. I bought this bag to use for my own lunch at work, and as a cooler bag for my son's baby bottles when we go out. I like the construction of the bag, the fabric, and the color okay (I have the sage color). However, I do not feel that it is a very good insulator. When I use a gel back to keep things cool, it warms up more quickly than with the cooler bags I already had. It does have some insulation, but it could have more. On the positive side though, I think it is of good quality, and I like that it's a flexible, foldable, fabric, so when you're done with your lunch, you can fold it up a bit and put it into your purse or briefcase. One thing that would be nice is a better color selection though.

I am very happy with this thermal lunch bag. It is lightweight yet seems strong. The shape is perfect for me - it's not square - more like a tall rectangle. I take my lunch every day and this holds my 16 oz water bottle, a small container of yogurt, 2 or 3 pieces of fruit and a small bag of snacks. Probably would not fit a water bottle if you had items that were large. Very happy with this product and the web site and service from this company.

This is a great lunch box. My 7th grade uses it and it is very soft and fits in his bookbag easily because it has no stiff edges. It also stores very flat. I can tell it will last a long time because it has no plastic interior that will crack or stain and the material does not absorb odors. My son likes it too!

I've had these bags for a couple of weeks and so far, they are great. I use one for a 40oz Klean Kanteen and one for a sandwich and a couple pieces of fruit. I put two small ice packs in each and the ice packs are still partially frozen when I get home at night. The bags also seem easy to clean. I just rinse them out with water and let them dry overnight (Given what I put in them, I don't feel that it's necessary to clean them every night). Overall, excellent product after two weeks of use.

This is a good lunch bag that does hold an adequate amount. It's not as funky as the Built by NY Gourmet Getaway which I also have, but it does a good job as a no nonsense lunch bag. The material is quite thick and durable and I like that it is safe and lead-free. It also has a practical front pocket that can hold napkins, utensils, and will hold To-Go-Ware Bamboo utensils nicely.

These are awesome. They fit so much...my fiance and I used it as to carry a lunch for two when we went out hiking, but they aren't bulky, so it can also fit a lunch for one. We squeezed in 2 cans of lemonade, 2 sandwiches, and 2 pudding cups. I also tried to fit in 2 bottles of wine on a separate occasion, and it fits perfectly. Best of all, after everything is finished, it folds up so it's one less thing to carry in your hands on the way home! They aren't great as thermal lunch bags, but I love that they are made out of recycled plastic bottles, and that it can carry either a lot or a little w/o the food rattling around inside the bag!

Nice bags to look at, but not as functional as I had hoped. They don't keep things cold very well. I leave mine in the fridge overnight and my yogurt is warm in the half hour I commute. My other complaint is that it is very deep and trying to get an apple out of the bottom without unloading the sandwich on top is not possible.

This is the best lunch bag I have ever had. Not only do I feel great because it is made from recycled plastic, but it also has plush insulation that keeps my lunch cold. It's big enough to fit my lunch containers as well as fruit. The outside pocket is perfect for toting silverware. I have had all my previous lunch bags ripped from toting silver ware in the main compartment. I love this bag so much that I plan to order another one for my husband. It is a great bag. The only thing that would be nice is if there was a better closure on it. Would like to be able to make it "smaller" when I only have one item in it--i.e. be able to fold it down smaller and have a way to velcro it so it would stay smaller as it pops up tall out of my bag and is a bit annoying. The greenhouse gas emissions from shipping used plastic bottles (likely from the US) to China to be made into this bag, and then the final product shipped back to the US, seems very wasteful. I hope - and would support - reusablebags.com in adding a cost to offset these emissions that contribute to global warming. Thanks.

If someone was able to review the order, they'd see that it went through two times on the same day at the same time of day. this is a great, basic lunch bag. it fits my husband's entire lunch no problem. when you need a new one, this is a great option because it is an easy way to use a recycled product that performs just as well if not better than it's not so green counterparts.

Bag is well made. Fabric has a nice feel and look. Well-priced. Overall, I am quite happy with these bags. My only criticism is that they are rather narrow (front to back). I would find a wider size to be more versatile. Perhaps such a size will be added in the future.

The bag is nice and sturdy. It is a little thicker than my husband is used to and it doesn't fold up as compact as he would like. It also came with the velcro closure not sewn on securely. I fixed that myself because it wasn't worth sending it back. Overall, it is a nice thermal bag. Good price and reusable!!

This bag is thick and well insulated. It's very tall and can fit a lot more in it than it appears. It can fit an entire 2L bottle in it. I love that when I tell people it's made from completely recycled materials they are supprised. it's a great lunch/wine bag.

My lunchbag is so awesome!It's much more durable than my last lunchbag, which was sadly purchased at Target. The recycled plastic fibers are so strong! It keeps my lunch as cool as any other super insulate bag, and isn't that bulky, though it fits most tupperware containers. Plus, it's fair trade! I love that!

Best lunch bag for boys ever! It is perfect for an 8 year old boy - not too cutesy or too flimsy. Nice and thick with an awesome burnt orange color. Great when paired with a royal blue Sigg bottle. Very "cool" for boys. And it hard to find eco-friendly stuff for boys that age - most are covered in rocket ships or race cars, which for the 8-10 group is too juvenile, or a skull and bones - which is too mature.

I bought this bag for my husband so he would stop using plastic bags for his lunch bag and then throwing them away. He wanted something that would lay flat in his work bag and it does very well. The material is soft yet keeps enough of a shape to hold your lunch contents well. He really likes his bag and is happy that I bought it for him. The nice thing about this material is that is won't crack (like some other lunch bag materials) and you could throw it in with the laundry to clean it.

This thing is rad! Plenty of room inside for anything and everything. I especially like the little bit of padding built in, which helps keep things like energy bars and fruit from getting bruised or crushed.My girlfriend borrowed mine earlier this week and liked it so much that she wants to get her own. Get a Wrap-N-Mat to go with it and you've got pretty much everything covered.

Very well made bag. It looks nice and folds up well when not in use. I purchased two; keep in mind that the "sage" looks more dark grey than green. I like the fact the bags were made from recycled products, and I don't have to worry about any lead content. It would be nice if the bags were a bit wider. Although you can put alot inside (due to the length),once I put my Sigg bottle in, there is not much room for sandwiches or other things that are not narrow-shaped. However, I would buy this bag again.
