The ACME bags made from PET are about the best reusable grocery bag you can ever own, much less buy. The ones in this collection are closer to the ones I bought from this site a couple of years ago, than the one they sell for $9.95 now independently (much cheaper than when I first bought them!) Have to say it was the best investment I've ever made in almost anything, stocks included. At the time I bought them, they were around $25 a piece, and I have congratulated myself on the intelligence of that decision every time I've used them. I get complemented by grocery clerks, I can fit all my food nicely and neatly in only one bag when two or three paper or plastic would have been needed in the past, the bags wash and clean easily (had a bag drop and a jar of salsa break inside, and the salsa/glass remnants just wiped away like they never happened). There are few things in life that are as satisfying as these bags, and there is little else in life that you can say that about. Unreservedly reccommend! By Sarah M

The earth totes in this set are really good for grocery stores. They are not as rigid as I thought they might be but you can get it to stand on it's own if you push out the sides and the bottom enough. They can hold a lot of stuff and can be packed very tightly. The construction seems solid and the wide handles are comfortable for carrying. You can stand them side by side in a shopping cart and they stand firm, making it easy to add more things on the top if you want to. The double handled totes are floppy and will not stand on their own. They are however strong and big and I find I like them for several large items like milk jugs or bags of potatoes. Packing a few large things isn't too hard in a floppy bag, unlike many little things. The shorter handles I find are nice for when the bag is full of heavy items... like 2 gallons of milk. It's nice to have the variety. I purchased this set along with the ACME sampler set and I find I like the different styles for different uses. The earth totes stand up well for the ride home, nothing seems to be able to roll out like plastic bags sometimes do. I would recommend this set to a friend. By Tyson R

This a great set of bags. The square "EarthTotes" are great for going to the market and hold LOTS of groceries. I usually use the hand baskets at the supermarket (as opposed to a shopping cart) and most of the time everything I buy fits into ONE bag. Even though it is roughly the size of a paper bag, you can put way more stuff in it without worrying about the handles breaking. At first I was worried about goods at the bottom getting crushed, but it's really not a problem at all. The dual-handled totes are equally well made, but I generally find myself using the square EarthTotes. By James M

I love this set. It allows me to try out the different PET bags and decide which I want more of. My boyfriend introduced me to this type of bag and now I have more than he does. The size and shape of the Earth Tote make it easy to take to the store. I use it for canned goods and such. I use the dual-handled tote for more odd-shaped purchases. I love both styles and use them nearly daily. I love the fact that they are washable also. I had a bottle puncture and we just tossed all the bags in the wash and let them air dry...good as new! While these bags may cost a bit more than your every day, run of the mill re-usable bag that's available almost everywhere, I definitely feel they're worth it! I love the dual handles on the ACME Bags™ - Recycled PET Dual Handled Tote, and the fact that the ACME Bags™ - Recycled PET EarthTote™ stands up on its own! We have used this sampler set for about a month and found that it was ideal set for trying out bags with different styles. Our grocery shopping preference so far is for the bags that more closely resemble paper bags than the totes. The recycled PET material seems sturdy and easy to clean. By Beth R
