The larger size is big enough for just about any bagel or sandwich. My kindergartener was complaining he couldn't open the rubbermaid containers by himself and that when he did, carrots would go flying everywhere. These snack bags give him the independence that teachers want to see and he loves the cool designs. I will definitely be buying more in the future.

3.0 Maybe I just recieved a bad batch

We have been using the reusable bags for the past three years and love them. We usually purchase the lunchskins and use them for snacks in lunch boxes. We changed it up this time and decided to try the ReUsies brand mostly because our sons like the different designs. Sad to say, of the 6 we have purchased, three of them have already ripped along the seams. Overall, good product, just don't think they are as "tough" as the lunch skins.

These are great snack bags. We bought three of the snack size, and its large enough to hold my daughter's half sandwich for lunches. The lining does well with veggies or dry goods, and is easy to clean. The patterns are cute and they close securely with the velcro. The extra strip of velco on the front for a tighter closure is a great feature, too.

I love these bags - the patterns are so cute and I love the extra velcro on the back side that allows me to tighten the snack up on itself so it won't spill out. It is a feature that none of the other bags seem to have. We hardly ever use plastic sandwich baggie anymore - well worth the money!

At first I was disappointed with this bag because the material & velcro closure are far inferior to the Snack Taxi brand (also purchased from reuseit.com) However, my 8 year old, autistic son prefers the "feel" of this one. He is very sensory oriented. I hope it holds up.

I was so excited to get my ReUsies snack bags. The design was very cute. However, after just three (three!!!) uses, the velcro piece on the flap is tearing away from the liner. I don't see them lasting very long at all. As much as I hate using plastic baggies, I can't afford to keep buying expensive "reuseable" bags that fall apart after just a few uses. (I washed these very gently by hand, too.)

This bag works very well for dry foods and even wet foods (I cut up a ripe peach to see how it would handle the moisture). I like the ability to expand or tighten up the bag based on how much is put in or taken out. The bag washed out easily and dried fairly fast - was always dry the next morning for another use. The only thing that could be a drawback is that it is hard to fold in the edges when the bag is fairly full....so is not as airtight as it could be, but for a half day it is great. I use these more than the other types of reusable lunch/snack bags.

We are on our 2nd year with a few of these bags. Had to get more when another child started school. Overall we are happy with them. My issue is that they have a smell now,both old and new. Not sure if I am caring for them properly.

We use the snack size bag to hold the kids school snacks (gold fish, pretzels etc) and then put that inside the lunch size matching bag along with a piece of fruit or a little squeezy apple sauce. It's a great system and we have cut way down on the plastic baggies and paper bags we used to use. The bags are easy to hand wash and they dry completely overnight.

We like the prints on these. There is an extra velcro on the back so you can make the bag really small or fold the "lid" back and get it to awkwardly stand open. We did have some wicking of moisture from the velcro sewing spots (sewn thru the liner) from cucumber slices and other moist veggies. The Reuseit brand does not sew thru the inner layer, so I will probably buy those again.

4.0 Super cute, but a little too big

I bought the race cars version of this because my 3-year-old son is obsessed with cars. The bag is super-cute, and I like that there are two velcro patches so you can fold it up smaller for a small snack or one that's been half-eaten. However, I haven't found myself using it much over the past month. For a toddler, it's a little too big for the amount of snack we usually take with us when we go out. Also, I still find myself using small plastic containers with lids most of the time, as they keep the crackers, cookies, etc. from getting crushed in my purse. Since this bag is obviously built to last a long time, I'm hoping we will get more use out of it in the future, as it is a well-made product.

I bought a couple of these to try them out. They are our first reuseable snack bag and I started with 2 since I had not purchased them before. They work great for just about anything I've packed in them so far except string cheese. They must be porous because the string cheese dries out a bit if it is in the bag too long, but no problems if it is packed in the morning and eaten at lunch. I had my daughter pick the patterns since she is the one using the primarily for her snack at school. She seems to love them. I especially like that they can be used as two different sizes and really love that I have next to no need for plastic bags now. I will definitely purchase more as time goes on.

I've been looking for something to pack my daughter's school lunch snacks in and finally found it in these attractive bags. They can safely hold grapes, raisins and other dry snacks and can be folded over twice to hold smaller items or lesser amounts. The velcro tabs are generous in length, so there's no crushing snacks to get the bags to close. The bright designs are eye-catching and reminds my 4-year-old not to throw them in the trash can!!! Now I can feel good about cutting down on the waste my family produces, even when we're away from home!

I LOVE these! Only wish I'd bought more. My daughter brings hers to school every day. I love that if you have something small, you can fold the bag over and there's extra velcro for that, unlike our other bags. These are easy to wash, quick to dry, and don't seem to stain easily (well, don't put blueberries in them). My only complaint is that the designs seemed pretty limited. I would like to see more patterns.

I was tired of wasting plastic baggies on school snacks and my daughter doesn't like lugging pyrex containers around so I saw this and thought it would be a great solution. I'm a little disappointed that the inside is not lined in something that would make for easier clean up (like the sandwich mats). But still, it's better than plastic bags and she likes the design.

I had been wanting to try this alternative to ziploc bags for a while and finally ordered these. Somehow, I thought there would be a larger variety of patterns, but there weren't. The bags arrived quickly and I found the quality to be good. As other reviewers said, they are easy to use, easy to rinse or wash out, and dry. The absolute best part of these snack sized bags in comparison to the sandwich sized bags is that these have an extra strip of velcro on the backside of the pouch so if your snack is very small, you can wrap the pouch all the way around for a tighter and more customized fit. This is an awesome detail, and I wish the sandwich sized bags had the same thing, but they don't.

I love not buying any more plastic bags. I got multiples of these cute bags so I can use daily for the kids' lunches, and even the teacher commented on how neat they were. The nylon interior keeps moisture from leaking out when we use them for fruit, and the Velcro on both sides makes it easy to double wrap them for small items like cookies. When dirty, I just throw them in the washing machine and let them air dry. They aren't airtight, though, so snacks left for longer than about a day will get stale.

Love the snack bag! I debated over many different reusable bag options and this one's a winner! I've been handwashing in the evening and it's ready to go in the morning, if not sooner. The size is perfect for small snacks or a portion of chips to go with a sandwich. My daughter loves taking her snacks to school in it and complains when she sees me take it. We'll be buying new ones soon! HOpefully new patterns will be available.

I've been using these bags for several months now and LOVE them! They are used five days a week in my kids' lunches -- I tend to just rinse them if necessary during the week and I throw them in the washing machine on Friday when the school week is over. I wash them on a regular cycle with clothes and have never had any problems with colors bleeding or seams coming apart (I don't put them in the dryer but they dry quickly on their own). I love that the velcro placement allows for folding the bags into different sizes, and I LOVE not buying plastic bags anymore!

These bags are great and more roomy than I expected for the snack size. My only complaint is that the first time I put them in the dishwasher the color ran so the cars are stained with a reddish color. It doesn't affect the functionality, just disappointed that the car fabric is stained on all three of them.

These are by far my favorite reusable snack/sandwich bag. I like the fun prints and also how there are two velcro options, depending on how much food you put in it. I use it every day in my kids' lunches and am so glad I got them. They are more expensive than I think they should be, but I have gotten my money's worth so far, I guess. Has held up well so far and easy to clean, I hand wash and air dry.

Generally speaking, I like these bags. That said, it seems as if some items, such as crackers (specifically small square cheese crackers of a certain brand) go stale before the end of the day. I'll pack them in the bag in the morning and by my afternoon snack they've lost their crunch. Other than that, I like having an alternative to plastic baggies.

This holds a pretty good-sized amount of food -- more than a cup of goldfish crackers. I generally use this snack bag for dry items like crackers and pretzels. I like that there are two different places for the velcro tab to attach, for a really full snack bag or a half-full one, so that the contents are more secure and stay fresher, too.

This is a great size bag for a sandwich. My sandwiches tend to get thick with sprouts, tomatoes, etc and it's much easier to get them in and out of this than a plastic baggie. It wipes out easily and everyone in the lunchroom at work wants to know where I got it.

Great bags!! They are very well made and so easy to clean. I would like to buy more but there are only two varieties available now. I would buy more if there were more options available (not sure why you have to rotate patterns) Overall they work great and I look forward to many years of use.

These snack bags are great!!They are double velcroed so they can accomodate small snacks as well as larger sized items. The Reusies wash well in the gentle cycle and air dry super quick. A great green lunch products.

This is a follow up to my previous review. We've been using the ReUsies daily since both of my children have gone back to school. They are easy to clean, hold a lot or a little. The velcro wraps around the bag for keeping smaller portions in the bag. The drawback that I am seeing now is that if the velcro gets caught on the stitching around the opening, it makes a snag that will at some point fray and loosen. That is a design flaw issues that needs to be corrected. 2 of our 4 have this problem.

I just got my snack bag, and I love it already. It's more than big enough for the McVittie's crackers that I usually put in it, and it's bright and easy to spot so I don't leave it behind in my break room. One of my colleagues is already looking into getting at least one for herself!

This is a great concept, but there are a few things that could be improved. The velcro picks the stitching on the outside, smaller snacks seem to escape easily, and organic materials would be nice. I don't think I'll get any more of these particular snack bags - but I will be trying another style.

We are into our 2nd week using these snack bags and they are still a big hit! I've run them through the washer once and they air dried nicely. Great for cookies, fruit, veggies and crackers too. I like the versatility of folding them over twice for smaller snacks too. Wish I had a few more, but they were a bit pricy!

I received our ReUsies snack size bags today. They are lovely! I enjoy the fact that the closing velcro is adjustable...it will hold larger sized snacks or smaller ones. The patterns are wonderful...some suitable for children and some for adults!

Haven't used these yet, they are for my kids when they start school next week. But have the sandwich wrappers at home and absolutely love them, so do the kids! Can't see what would be bad about the great designs so the kids are "cool" and at the same time teach them about sustainable living!

These are pretty good, but I prefer some of the other styles of reusable bags to these. Easy to clean by hand and dry on a drying rack overnight. Haven't tried the dishwasher or washing machine after reading other reviews. Compared to some of the other styles, they seem to get more wet all the way through the bag when I wash out the inside. I do like that they can be closed around the back to make a smaller size bag. My biggest problem with them is that the food doesn't seem to stay fresh. After a few hours, goldfish crackers taste a bit stale.

I prefer the snack-taxi bags. They are the original sandwich bags which are more colorful and exciting then the reusies. I have been using snack taxi bags for years and it is alarming because it appears that reusies has copied their design.

I love these snack bags. The colors are great, my kids love them. They can be rinsed in the sink or thrown in the wash for a deeper cleaning. The velcro is adjustable so you can put lots of different size snacks in them and they would hold a small (kids) sandwich no problem. They are also easy for my kids (2 & 4) to hold in the car.

I was super excited to start using these resuable baggies... and for the first few uses they were fabulous. Perfect size, cute design, kept most snacks tidy. Then I washed them for the first time. I took what I thought were some extra precautions, washing on a hand wash cycle in cold water and even put them in a lingerie bag and they came out pretty thrashed. The cute thread border pulled out in multiple areas and the fabric folded over on itself. I'm not sure how long I can reuse them, if I can't wash them without them falling apart.

My two girls (ages 3 and 4) use these snack bags all the time to hold their favorite snacks...from crackers and cereal to grapes and plums it holds what they need nice and securely. No more plastic bags or bowls! And what's great is even if there's only a small amount left in the bag b/c of the velcro on the back side you can fold it over and secure it tightly without having to worry about the contents spilling out. Great product!

These are awesome! I throw frut, crackers, all kinds of snacks in them and they don't take up the space in my bag that plastic containers did. Also, my 2 year loves to hold onto them and eat his snacks out of them. When they're not as full, you can fold them down even smaller. The inside has a nice wipeable lining. I just rinse them out in the sink and let them air dry. Fun designs too!

I really like my reusies snack bag, but one thing that I didn't think about is that they don't seal tight. For example, I was carrying cereal in my reusie and it got turned upside down in my backpack. I ended up with cereal crumbs in the bottom of my backpack. This probably wouldn't be an issue in a lunch box, but in my backpack it is. Also I realized that my cereal will go stale if left in it for a couple of days. Overall a good product.

I Love these bags. They are the perfect size and look so colorful in my kids lunch box. They have held up really well and the kids love using them. What more could I want. And there are so many great uses for them other than kids lunches. I keep sunglasses in one, biz cards, makeup and personal products. Anything that fits...! I highly recommend them.

I have been a customer of ReUsies since they first came out. I have found that my family of 4 have saved so much money on plastic bags and on so much time. I pack 3 lunch bags and 2 after-school snacks each morning. That is a lot of bags and a lot of time! I prop the ReUsies open, pick the food/snack that goes in each one and just fill however much each person can eat. Then, fold them over and pack. No fumbling over having food in hand and trying to figure out how to get the plastic bag to stay open and keep it open. Drop, fold and pack! ReUsies are not only easy to use, but easy to wash. I just use a sponge with dish soap and warm water, then hang them to dry. By morning they are there ready for me to pack for the next days events. If you have any question about using this product don't hesitate! Just try some and you will see for yourself. They are eco-friendly, well made and really cute! A brilliant idea!

I've been using & reusing these bags for both my own lunches and my kids' lunches. I've had mine for about 5 months now and they don't show any wear. Most days I just wipe them down with a damp cloth. I run them through the dishwasher at the end of the week. I've put all kinds of things in them (crackers, fruit, nuts, granola, sandwiches, even tortilla sandwich wraps). The velcro closure makes it easy to adjust if you have a small snack. We spend a lot of time talking about waste & what we can do to reduce our footprint so it makes sense for us to use these bags. I love them!

I have been using my ReUsies daily for several months now. They hold up the dishwasher, washing machine and 2 young boys. At first, I was worried that my kids would leave them at school or throw them away. Instead, they take care to come home with them everyday - they love 'helping the enviornment' and the cool designs. The bags do a great job of keeping the food fresh. I recommend these to any parent who is tired of throwing out tons of plastic.

These things are GREAT! I bought a bunch of these a few months ago and use them everyday and am impressed with how well they hold up. I actually throw them in the dishwasher on the top rack, and then let them air dry. The best part is that I haven't bought plastic sandwich bags since I got these. Added bonus that they're so cute. My son takes his lunch to school in his, and he likes the "cool" designs for boys.

I love my cute little bags. They have helped with the motivation to eat heathy and not grab junk food or fast food. They have been working just as Karen and Becky said they would. Usually I just need to rinse or give them a quick wipe and sometimes I have thrown them in the washer but never the dryer...even the dishwasher once or twice. I am happy they are holding up so well but that's probably do to the careful job they have done of selecting quality fabric and careful sewing. I keep buying them as hostess gifts and friends always want more of them. They're great.
