Design & Functionality
The “soap” comes from the shell of the soap nut (also known as the soapberry) which contains saponin. Berry+ extracts and concentrates the saponin to create a 99.8% plant-based liquid soap. There is enough of the active ingredient in each micro-dose to clean up to 30 pounds of dirty laundry. Agitation releases and circulates saponin along with other natural surfactants (surface active ingredient). They break down the surface tension between water and oil in the wash water, aiding it in freeing dirt, grime and oils from clothes. Essentially this is the exact same fundamental principle that applies to how most detergents and soaps work - minus the bubbles, synthetic chemicals and fragrances.

Using too much detergent, especially in front-loading HE machines, clogs up the arteries of your washing machine and stains the planet (because all that soap gets flushed out of your machine into the water system and ultimately a lake, ocean, or the ground somewhere). The berry soap comes from a sustainable source and its all natural ingredients do not pollute water systems making it environmentally safe. Since it’s naturally low sudsing it’s excellent for high efficiency (HE) washers, thus using less energy. Plus, less packaging means less plastic waste and easier transport for a smaller carbon footprint!

- 0.3% olive-leaf extract to kill bacteria and other junk
- 0.1% each of potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate (food-grade preservative made from plants to give Berry+ shelf life)

Guidelines for Use
- 2-3 squirts of the dropper top is equivalent to 2-3 ml of soap (about 1/2 teaspoon).
- For one HE (high efficiency) load, use 2-3 ml.
- For one standard load, increase dosage to 5 ml (1 teaspoon).
Tips
- Pre-treat tough stains with a dab of Berry+
- Don’t overload the washer, clothes and water need space to move around freely (agitate).
