BTW ......bag has decomposed on me for 7 straight weeks since the law went in effect. Mow on Monday and pick up on Thursday. Terrible product
Terrible product for law clippings especially in South Texas (Houston). Bags break down within a couple of days and really only hold about 10 gallons without ripping. Stear clear of this disaster. Houston city goverment dropped the ball with this vendor. We can only hope for a repeal of this assine law.
I read some of the reviews for these bags before buying. Overall I am happy with the bags. I do agree with some of the other commentors that the bags need to be made a little stronger. I would also sort out the separation point between bags. If you are not very careful you run the risk of splitting bags up the side when trying to take just one bag. I DO limit what liquid waste I place into the bag which seems to extend its life span. All in all, I would recommend this product!
We LOVE this product! Allows for neat and easy trash disposal and NO plastic!
Definitely more delicate than traditional plastic bags, but thinking about one less non-biodegradable bag filling up landfills makes it totally worth it. I use these for my big kitchen bags, and when taking out a lot of cat litter or heavy, pokey trash I occasionally have to double-bag. Worth it though.
Have to be a little more careful about pokey sticks than in a regular lawn bag, but these are great!
I filled one 33 gallon lawn & leaf bag with leaves & grass clippings and put it in my compost tumbler several weeks ago. I've put lots of vegetable ends, coffe grounds, etc. from my kitchen on top and have spun the timbler serveral times in the interim. Today, I found that the bag was decomposing: it was in shreds. However, the pieces were big & didn't look like they were going to disappear anytime soon. I removed them from the tumbler & threw them in my regular trash can. So -- not exactly sterling but still better than a nornmal. plastic bag would be under the same circumstances.
Bags are ok but have to be very careful when tearing off the roll. They split really easily and have to be careful when using too.
