The bag itself will decomposes in 10-45 days in a municipal composting facility, leaving no harmful residues behind. These biodegradable waste bags are made from starches derived from plants, vegetable oils, and compostable polymers from both renewable raw materials and fossil raw materials, and are guaranteed that no polyethylene is used in its production.

By using BioBag in conjunction with reusable shopping bags you can reduce your consumption of plastic shopping bags to nearly zero. This product is ideal for those of you that have cut plastic bag consumption to the point that you no longer have enough to reuse for dog poop, garbage can liners, yard waste, etc. They're a smart alternative to polyethylene and polypropylene based plastic bags, and are designed to help people 100% committed to being plastic bag-free.

• Biodegradable lawn and leaf waste bags help you clean up your yard or home without additional disposable plastic waste

BTW ......bag has decomposed on me for 7 straight weeks since the law went in effect. Mow on Monday and pick up on Thursday. Terrible product

Terrible product for law clippings especially in South Texas (Houston). Bags break down within a couple of days and really only hold about 10 gallons without ripping. Stear clear of this disaster. Houston city goverment dropped the ball with this vendor. We can only hope for a repeal of this assine law.

  3. I read some of the reviews for these bags before b review by Martin B on 7/11/2016

I read some of the reviews for these bags before buying. Overall I am happy with the bags. I do agree with some of the other commentors that the bags need to be made a little stronger. I would also sort out the separation point between bags. If you are not very careful you run the risk of splitting bags up the side when trying to take just one bag. I DO limit what liquid waste I place into the bag which seems to extend its life span. All in all, I would recommend this product!

  5. Definitely more delicate than traditional plastic review by mahalie p on 7/11/2016

Definitely more delicate than traditional plastic bags, but thinking about one less non-biodegradable bag filling up landfills makes it totally worth it. I use these for my big kitchen bags, and when taking out a lot of cat litter or heavy, pokey trash I occasionally have to double-bag. Worth it though.

  6. Have to be a little more careful about pokey stick review by Kathleen D on 7/11/2016

Have to be a little more careful about pokey sticks than in a regular lawn bag, but these are great!

  7. Better than regular lawn & leaf bags review by Annette K on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

I filled one 33 gallon lawn & leaf bag with leaves & grass clippings and put it in my compost tumbler several weeks ago. I've put lots of vegetable ends, coffe grounds, etc. from my kitchen on top and have spun the timbler serveral times in the interim. Today, I found that the bag was decomposing: it was in shreds. However, the pieces were big & didn't look like they were going to disappear anytime soon. I removed them from the tumbler & threw them in my regular trash can. So -- not exactly sterling but still better than a nornmal. plastic bag would be under the same circumstances.

  8. Bags are ok but have to be very careful when teari review by William P on 7/11/2016

Bags are ok but have to be very careful when tearing off the roll. They split really easily and have to be careful when using too.
