Design & Functionality
Great-looking and built to last, these small totes stand on their own for easy packing and fold flat for convenient storage. Super strong, they're perfect to use in place of brown paper lunch bags. They're so colorful and fun, kids will love to bring their own lunches. Also ideal to use as a reusable gift bag - the recipient can use it again as gift wrap, or as a lunch bag.
Materials
The bags are made by taking old grain sacks and plastic water bottles, grinding them up, heating them into a type of thread, which is then woven to create a super-strong 95% post-consumer recycled polypropylene material. Only the handle and film required to screen the design are not made from recycled materials.
Sustainability
This bag can help you eliminate scores of paper lunch bags and rolls of wrapping paper over its lifetime, and choosing products made from post-consumer recycled materials promotes a more sustainable path for landfill-bound waste.
About Blue Q
Brothers Mitch and Seth Nash founded Blue Q in 1988 and still own it today. For the past 15 years, the company has also been the largest local private employer of individuals with disabilities, who make up one quarter of the Blue Q workforce. The company has a close working relationship with the family-owned company in China that makes their bags. Any factories Blue Q partners with must pass rigorous inspections to ensure they meet high, ethical standards for employee care, product quality, and environmental responsibility.
Blue Q donates 1% of the sales of their bags and water bottles to the Nature Conservancy to help support global green initiatives. They are committed to a donation of at least $100,000 by April 19, 2013. See Nature.org for more information on their programs.

3.0 Ok sack, but not a great lunch bag

This is a cute sack, but it hasn't got a flap and is fairly short, so it's not a good fit for a kids lunch bag or if there's a chance it might tip over. Seems durable and wipes clean easily, but has limited uses. By Gina B

We purchasd the Blue Q Small Resuable Tote because my kids (9 & 7) wanted to be able to carry their Laptop Lunches bento boxes, water bottle and thermos all at the same time. They've been back in school for one week now and it's been working out great. I love the ease of packing their lunches and they loved that they could choose designs to fit their own style. I have several of the Blue Q shoppers in the large size. But when I spotted this little cutie I couldn't resist. This one is actually VERY heavy duty and still retains its shape even when I'm lugging 3 filled stainless steel canteens (HEAVY)! Of course my favorite aspect (besides the incredibly unique artwork) is that these bags are waterproof. We use them for shopping, lugging stuff to the beach, and most kid-related days out and they have withstood everything we do to them.View All
