The bags feature an inner FDA-approved food grade protective layer. It forms a double lining within the bag and is completely sealed to maximize thermal efficiency.
Made in the USA. Heavy-duty snap-in handles and a durable reinforced bottom panel have been tested to hold up to 35 pounds. A more durable option than cardboard inserts, the bottom panel is constructed from white corrugated polyethylene and can be removed for quick sanitization. These are great. About the size of a standard paper grocery bag.Other thermal bags are shaped like envelopes and too big.
The size of these helps control how much the "bagger" puts in the bag and prevents overloading.
The reinforcement in the bottom helps the bag keep its shape. The single handle helps avoid pinching your hand.
I'll likely be buying more of these and simply replacing my other reusable bags altogether.

I've had a set of 4 of these bags for at least 3 years. The insulating quality is remarkable. Groceries stay cold/frozen and give me plenty of time to complete all my errands without the worry of thawing or condensation. Hint: Always tuck the side pleats in before closing the bag and make sure that weight is evenly distributed. That keeps the handles from breaking. I bought your insulated reusable bags because of dissatisfaction with the zippers on the supermarket-purchased insulated resusable bags. I like your bags, but I note two reservations. First, I find it hard to get them to close all the way and to stay closed. I suppose that I can figure this out. But the other problem is that they are designed for being carried in the hand, and I use them instead in a shoping cart. I purchased (5) of these bags as part of my "going Green" contribution rather than using grocery store plastics. I'm more than pleased with these bags. They are constructed very well. Each bag expands and holds so much. The sturdy handle allows for heavy items to be carried easily. Since they also hook on to the grocery cart they make packing the groceries super simple. I bought two of these a year ago, and one has broken the plastic handle and the other is just looking really worn, but works. I never even loaded them up as much as they say they can hold. I am disappointed and don't recommend them. Or just know you can't carry a 1/2 gallon of orange juice in one when you use it. The bags were sent to him in Iraq to help his unit transport frozen or cold food from their Army military base where they pick up food to their desert outpost where they are stationed..about 1 hour away. The thermal shopping bag is great. I find the medium size very manageable for trips to the grocery store. The bag is sturdy and can hold heavy items without a problem. The baggers appreciate that they stand up when unfolded, making it easy to place my cold food inside. It's wonderful to unpack icecream from the grocery store that's not gooey and melting! The thermal quality is great! I used my bag to keep our lunch and waters cold while attending our July 4th celebration. I love the idea of the thermal bag and this one does do what it claims as far as keeping items cool (I use it for frozen, not hot foods). But the handle can NOT handle 35 pounds. I don't think I've ever put 35 pounds of food in there and the plastic handle is still in the process of splitting all the way across. I have to carry it under the bottom now, which doesn't let me carry much else. It's a bummer, but I guess I shouldn't complain since it costed less than $4. This is my second purchase of these bags and overall I'm pleased with them. If packed well and closed properly, the food does stay cold. The tricky bit has been getting the baggers to pack items close together but still be able to close the bag correctly. My first 2 bags broke along the top because baggers awkwardly overstuffed the bags and then tried to force them closed. The closure technique does take a bit of getting used to but it's quite secure when closed properly. Don't be tempted to overstuff as your bag will suffer for it. I use mine for frozen and refrigerated items at the grocery but they're positively essential when I go to the bulk buying store!! By Dorothy M

It is nice to have these when it takes 30 minutes to get home from the grocery store. They do an OK job in the heat, only if the car AC stays on. I tried running in to the library, and left a filled bag in the car on a super hot day. In 20 minutes the ice cream got pretty melty. I just bought 4 medium and 2 small KOLD-TO-GO bags. On the medium bag, there is one plastic handle loop which threads through into a plastic frame to keep the bag closed. I have only used one of each size and the Medium handle has already fractured from 2 uses. I know that I did not exceed the weight limit with my cold or frozen items. The product is great once you figure out how to open the bags. I keep trying to "unsnap" them across the top. It was only when I finally broke the plastic casing, that I saw that the handle slides up and down through it's opening, and thus opens up the bag. Oh well. I don't think this bag really keeps things cool. It is not made well. When you clip the bag shut, it does not seal, so there is plenty of airflow in and out of the bag. I have not tested it rigorously, but on a hot day it does not seem like this bag keeps the ice cream from getting soft. It is just like a regular bag... But it is kind of flimsy and bulky. I still keep it in the car and use it if I need any extra bag (rather than a plastic disposable one from the store), but that is all. Also, seems like grocery store baggers have a hard time grasping the idea of putting frozen items in a different bag from everything else. Sometimes it is hard enough to get them to "put the disposable bags down and please use these reusable bags I brought"!! "Also, please don't put the bread in first - put it on top"!! I feel like the thermal bag will not last long. The top is already starting to wear & I've only used it twice. It is difficult to close properly when rushing at the grocery store, trying to get all the food packaged & sealed in the bag as the cashier is throwing more food at me. I love the thermal shopping bags. I feel like I can take my time after grocery shopping instead of rushing home knowing that my items won't get hot. I don't really trust the handle to hold the bag without ripping when I have milk or other heavy items so I'm sure to hold the bag with support on the bottom. I thought the price was fair until I found bags even larger for less than half the price at walmart. Overall, I highly recommend these bags. I've even had my husband pack his lunch in these bags. On a recent shopping trip, I was worried that the handle of my brand new Medium sized Thermal shopping bag might not hold up under the weight of my (perishable) groceries, so I placed the Thermal bag inside an Earth Tote and ended up with a highly insulated bag that was leak-proof and held quite a bit of weight. The medium Thermal Shopping bag fit very nicely into the Earth Tote and kept my groceries nice and cold, while the Earth Tote held everything securely.
