Comments about Product:When I saw Google corporate HQ using these bags, I decided if they were sturdy enough for office garbage and composting, they were good enough for me. I've been using them for two years now for my regular garbage and feel so much better about not polluting our landfills with more plastic.
Comments about Product:I'm environmentally minded in all of my shopping but typically see environmentally "firendly" products packaged in or with products that are counterintuative to that purpose. For example, organic foods packaged in plastic or biodegradable utentils shipped in plastic bags. In this case, the bags are packaged with plastic twist ties. Lose the ties and increase the bag length to create handles and this will be a perfect product!
Comments about Product:Culture tells us we need heavy duty trash bags that are stretchy, odor proof, and we can jam them full. Most importantly, Bio Bags break down. But I also use them as a challenge to control my waste b/c the bags are smaller and more fragile.
Comments about Product:Thou not very sturdy for heavy or sharp, edgy waste, these bags are perfect for light weight trash like for the bathroom where most of the waste is tissues or bed rooms where the waste there will be light and or insignificant in weight. Best part... They’re biodegradable!
Comments about Product:I like the concept of these bags a lot. The problem is that they don't fit that well into the garbage can, and tend to fall down (even without a lot of excess weight). The manufacturer should redesign the bags to attach better to the outside of the garbage can. Then I would buy these bags more often, as they would actually work, then.
Comments about Product:These bags are much too thin- tear when you take them out of the garbage can even when half full and tear at the top when you try to tie them..i will not reorder or recommend them. Seems like it is hard to find a biodegradeable bag that is not too thin or too thick because made from recycled plastic- hard to beleive the thinck one biodegrade! Oh well i will keep looking.
Comments about Product:These bags work well. The only criticism I have is that the opening isn't quite wide enough to fit my garbage pail. I have to stretch it almost to the point of tearing. Otherwise a great product.
Comments about Product:We love Bio Bags and wouldn't use anything else for our home garbage. I mean, how could you in good conscience use regular plastic that doesn't decompose! I really like the new design of the bottom of the bag but would love to have an extra inch two to tie the sides to keep the whole bag from falling into the can! Thanks Bio Bag for giving consumers options to the standard plastic bags! RG
Comments about Product:I was a little hesitant to order these because I was worried if they would be strong enough. So far they have held up great, and we are very pleased. We haven't had any problems with them. I will definitely reorder again. Thank you!
Comments about Product:These bags are great, but are a little small for our typical tall kitchen garbage can. We actually use these for our catbox (we have 3 inside fur-wearing masters). Since the box is changed 2x daily, these bags ensure our family is not adding to the environmental problems with traditional plastic bags. I guy in bulk to save a little extra money. Not as cheap as traditional plastic bags, but we're committed to being part of the solution...NOT part of the problem.
Comments about Product:I repeatedly order the 13 gal kitchen bags. They hold up well for me and I feel I am helping to reduce my carbon footprint. I, personally, would love to see the 4 gallon size offered for small wastebasket liners. The 3 gallon are just a little too small for some containers.
Comments about Product:These bags are advertised to be "longer and stronger," both of which are true. This improved round of bags haven't broken once so far, with which I am very pleased. (My spouse still won't use them, having been burnt from the time when they tended to break and needed a lot of TLC -- special treatment for wet garbage -- to use properly, but I feel righteous enough in having eliminated plastic from this part of my life to manage our garbage situation entirely.) My only complaint is that I can't buy them for less than $.49 per bag, and that feels like a lot to spend on trash bags. I look forward to the time when the price comes down enough for me to start working on my friends and family to make the switch!
Comments about Product:I hesitated after reading the reviews of sturdiness with these bags, but we have had no trouble at all. I don't jam too much stuff in with sharp corners and it holds my kitchen trash just fine. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone trying to get away from plastic. I guess they could be a little bigerr, but really no complaints.
Comments about Product:Before I bought a box (12 count) I read the reviews and was on the fence as to how well the product would work, therefore I only bought one box. I am now almost finished with the box and will absolutely be buying more (we seem to be going through one bag every six days or so; two adults, one _ year old). They will tear more easily than traditional plastic garbage bags (as expected), but they are definitely strong enough to be filled to the brim, squished down, then tied. I started a compost pile after buying these bags and recommend the same to you. If I have to place organic or wet material in the garbage, I place it in the middle, making sure it doesn't touch the sides. Try not to place too much "liquid" into the garbage as condensation might form in the can; I only had that problem once, yet it hadn't deteriorated the bag. Like some of the reviews said, the size does run a little small. I have two "13 gallon" trash receptacles; one is a stretch to get it on and wouldn't touch the bottom of the can, and the other is a perfect fit. I am very satisfied with this product and believe that I am a customer for life. I absolutely love the fact that I will not be placing any more plastic garbage bags into the landfills!
Comments about Product:I have not encountered any problems with the 13 gal trash bags. Seem to be sturdy enough for our use. I also used the smaller, 3 gal size and they are ok, but not the right size for my small waste cans in my bedrooms and bathroom. I need 4 gal., at least to fit the cans, so I don't order those anymore, but I will continue to order the 13 gal size. It is very difficult to near impossible to find degradable bags locally. Jo Richmond
Comments about Product:I read the reviews before I bought these bags and was worried about how they would hold up. I have not had any problems with these bags at all. They could be bigger but I don't overstuff them and I am somewhat careful about what I put in it - like heavy items that could cause the bag to tear or items with sharp corners or sharp objects that could puncture the bag but for day-to-day kitchen waste, they work just fine and I am glad not to be filling the landfill with plastic. I will purchase these bags again.
Comments about Product:I like these bags a lot! I was afraid they would leak or tear more easily if they were bio-degradable but they don't. They are quite tough. Changing to using these bags is simple and easy... and is an environmentally smart at the same time.
Comments about Product:I read reviews that were mostly positive but one said the bags were too thin, so I ordered one box to be safe. We are very happy with performance and size. I will be ordering more. I have suggested your doggie bags for use in our condo--we have a LOT of dogs.
Comments about Product:I've been using Biobags for two years now. I use the lawn & leaf size for yard cleanup, the compost bin size for doggie bomb cleanup and bathroom garbage and the kitchen size for, well, the kitchen. I love knowing that I am not putting my garbage into a plastic bag where it will never decompose. While I want to be earth friendly, I still want a bag that is reliable. In my last shipment from Reusable Bags, my Biobags all had the new and improved label on them. I was excited because every now and then a bag tears on me and it's frustrating, but livable because I know I'm not using plastic, and I was really hoping they had stepped it up a notch. I am so disappointed. These new and improved bags are worthless. I can't even put a tissue into them without them tearing. I've got through a whole roll of the kitchen bags and thrown away more than half of them because they tear when you take them off the roll, they tear when you put them in the waste basket, they tear when you put anything in them, and god forbid you want to take them out of the waste basket, they'll happily dump their entire contents on the floor for you. These were worth the cost before and eased my conscience for putting a bag out to the bin every two weeks, but now, it's a waste of money. I was a big fan for two years and now I'm looking for an alternative product and I know there really isn't one. Biobag, you just lost a customer! For those considering purchasing these today, RUN AWAY, they aren't the bag they used to be!
Comments about Product:These 13 gallon compostible bags are great! I feel good using them for my kitchen garbage, knowing that the bags are biodegradable and compostable. I am reordering today, having run through the first 3 boxes I ordered.
Comments about Product:We don't have to much trash and therefore have a smaller sized kitchen garbage can and these fit wonderfully. If you had a tall can, it looks like you may have some trouble. I also agree that you need to be a little careful when you rip them off the roll or they'll tear, which is bad. Overall I love these and feel good that I need to order them because I no longer have a surplus of plastic bags.
Comments about Product:My wife got on a kick where she stopped using plastic garbage bags. We weren't using any bags at all and the garbage can was a complete mess! Refusing to clean out the can, I had to find something that would satisfy her "green" requirements. I found the BioBags after some intense internet research! We bought a four-pack of these bags. I was a little concerned about the reviews saying they were too short and not very sturdy. I was very pleased with the bags. These were labeled, "Now Longer and Stronger". They were the perfect size for our garbage can. They folded over the can with at least 8 inches to spare. They are very strong and tied very easily. We're so impressed, we buying 25 boxes to give away as Christmas gifts to our family. Also, no more arguing over who has to clean the garbage can! Great product! Thanks!
Comments about Product:Our city has us sort things into compostables, recyclables, and garbage. These bags are must for keeping our kitchen container clean. Have started using them in other trash cans as I wean us off the plastic bags from the grocery and other stores (thanks to reusablebags.com!). They are not super tough. If you put heavy items into your trash, they may tear. Best used for compostables and in small cans around the house (they sell smaller sizes for that purpose).

Comments about Product:These bags are great; much stronger than I anticipated. They are not as cheap as traditional plastic bags, but they offer an easy, "doable" means of reducing our carbon footprint on the environment.
Comments about Product:Love the biodegradable waste bags. Great option to the super market blow away plastic. If Seattle votes to ban the bags at the super market, many will buy tplastic bags and where will we be? Wish they had handles.

Comments about Product:They are great and a responsible answer to the blow away plastic bags we get in the grocery store. We do use the grocery bags from the super market for garbage. If Seattle votes to outlaw plastic bags, then most will go buy plastic garbage bags. Thus this alternative is the answer. Wish they had handles.
Comments about Product:I love these bags! I don't understand the complaints about lack of strength, but admittedly, we compost and recycle in our house. This means we have very little trash to throw away, and it is usually dry (since anything organic gets composted). I love the idea that I am not using a big plastic bag for my trash, and even if it does take a long time to break down in a closed landfill, it will break down as something better than plastic. I think these bags are great for people who have already begun to make changes in how they handle their trash. I will definitely keep using these. Thank you for a GREAT product.
5.0 Because we recently signed up for compost refuse p
Comments about Product:Because we recently signed up for compost refuse pickup, I eeded to find a biodegradable garbage bag. I now use the TALL KITCHEN BIO BAG and like it very much. I've learned not to fill too full, so I have room to knot it off. I accidently made an error on my last order, and customer service corrected it and exceeded my expectations! Great company to work with.
Comments about Product:This is a great product. I was driving 30 minutes away to buy them at a small organic food store (only when I needed to make the trip) but they hold so much and they don't tear and they are not bad for the environment! I love them!!!! I wish these were available everywhere!!!! Try them and I guarantee you won't go back to regular garbage bags!
Comments about Product:These are great. We had been going bag-less for a while to reduce our waste, but cleaning out the trash can every time wastes a lot of water and doesn't get it completely clean. These bags are better for the environment than anything else we've seen and they work quite well. They tear somewhat easily, but not easily enough to ruin their usefulness. This is a great product and a good price.
Comments about Product:These bags have changed since I last ordered. They are glossier - okay because they are not plastic - but we have noticed that as you tear them apart, every 3rd or 4th one has a split side and we lose the bag. I have 3 more boxes still, so we'll see how those do before I know if I will be ordering again.
1.0 Greetings, Our school has been using the BioBag-1
Comments about Product:Greetings, Our school has been using the BioBag-13 gal Tall Kitchen Waste bags to line our dining waste compost receptacles. We have been very successful with the strength of these bags in the past, but have found that the bags in the case we received in this last order rip especially easily and the bags are unable to hold the same materials possible with our previous orders of the same product. I can only assume that there was a change in the production values at BioBag when this generation of bags was run. It is as if the mil rating has been significantly reduced. The ease at which these bags tear makes them ineffective even for lining any of our small recycling containers. Can you please find out if these bags can be replaced by a more reliable product run from BioBag? Sincerely, Tod Cossairt

Comments about Product:I really had hopes for these bags but they don't hold up. Although I do not plan to return the product I will definitely not order it again. The first bag tore all the way up the side just trying to pull it off the roll. The next one tore just putting it in the trash bin. They are not sturdy enough for kitchen trash. Also, they aren't long enough to hold much trash as you can't compress the trash without the bag tearing in several places so you can't tie it off and I had to tape it to the trash bin to keep it from sliding into the bin. I was very disappointed in this product.
1.0 Love using bio bags instead of plastic but I find
Comments about Product:Love using bio bags instead of plastic but I find that the bags are always to small for the standard size garbage can't really use them for that purpose so now after buying multiple boxes in that size I have to waste money and use them in smaller garbage cans. Also need more sizes such as for your office wastebasket.
2.0 All the bags from the first box leaked, even thoug
Comments about Product:All the bags from the first box leaked, even though the bags were not overstuffed. Subsequent boxes have a similar problem, which may indicate a design flaw. I find that I'm putting less garbage in them, resulting in the use of more bags. This combined with the water used in having to wash out the kitchen garbage can every time it's emptied has me re-thinking how environmentally friendly this approach is. The bags also become very expensive when you're going through them twice as fast as traditional bags. I hope BioBag improves the strength, the seal and ultimately the price of the their bags. It's a good start.

Comments about Product:I'd heard these bags were thin and prone to tearing. So far, so good, but they are very thin, and sometimes we are not able to fill them as full as the plastic version. I'm definitely going to keep trying them, though, and maybe try to get my relatives hooked too.

Comments about Product:I have to say I was skeptical of these at first--how could something made from starch be durable enough to act as a trash can liner? I've given them a 2-month trial and I am pleasantly surprised at how well they function. I even used one to transfer about 20 lbs of dirt from one garden to another and there was only a little tearing at the top where I made the mistake of grabbing only a small area of the bag when I picked it up. Otherwise, I have experienced no tears or breaks. I will continue using these for sure!
3.0 I like the idea that the bags are "earth friendly"
Comments about Product:I like the idea that the bags are "earth friendly" but they don't stay around the top of the garbage container. They are smaller than other 13 gallon bags. I need to find a clip or large rubber band to hold the top of the bag in place in the container.
5.0 In reviewing others' comments on these bags, I thi
Comments about Product:In reviewing others' comments on these bags, I think they just throw away too much garbage. That could be why they think they are going through too many bags, or that others must be "smoking" to think that these bags are durable. I put my table scraps in yard waste, and pretty much recycle 95% of my other waste.
Comments about Product:These bags are great! Keep in mind that biodegradable means you may have some moisture in your trash can when you remove the bag, and the bags are quite thin - with a little care in removal and disposal you'll have no issues at all. And when you think of how many thick plastic bags we're keeping from sitting in a landfill for the next thousand years, these are a must have!!
1.0 Reading the other reviews I just have to question
Comments about Product:Reading the other reviews I just have to question what those people who called the bag durable were smoking. Or maybe this is a quality control issue? Are some batches of the bags stronger than others? Or could it be a "freshness" issue, as in do they weaken over time (normal plastic does but over many years, maybe these bags do so more quickly). Perhaps the people at reusablebags.com could look into this and do periodic spot checks to see if the bag quality changes? I'd really LIKE to be able to use these bags, but the quality of what I've seen so far is simply not acceptable. The bags that tore on me were NOT overstuffed. The slightest poke from something hard in the bag, or pulling a mostly pull bag from the can results in a tear.
1.0 This is the kind of green product that turns peopl
Comments about Product:This is the kind of green product that turns people off to buying green products, and gives them the reputation for lower quality than "normal" products. There are two problems with these bags: they are skimpy. They just barely fit my kitchen garbage pail with rather less to spare than other bags. This means it's constantly slipping off, and I have to keep messing with it to prevent the garbage ending up outside the bag. Secondly they are weak. The tear VERY easily, it almost like using a garbage bag made of tissue paper. I don't see why these bags can't be little longer and thicker. If there really is some physical reason that biodegradable bags must be weaker, then the product should have a big warning so that only those who are prepared to treat their bags very gingerly for the sake of greenness should buy them.
Comments about Product:I have mixed feelings at the moment. I love the fact that I am doing something better for the environment, but at the same time I find I am going through them quicker than other bags - they are so thin that you can easily over-stuff and then the bag breaks. The jury is out on this one still, sorry.
Comments about Product:Not terribly impressed. Although we love the biobag dog waste bags and large outdoor bags, the kitchen bags were a little too small to use in our 13 gal can, and did not hold up well - we had a blowout.

Comments about Product:It is wonderful to not have to use plastic bags anymore. These hold up nicely and fit perfectly in my 13 gallon trashcan. It was a little tricky at first to get them tied when filled up, however, grabbing 2 opposing spots at the top of the bag and tying the two ends together gets it securely tied and allows for maximum use of space. Nice to see so many sizes too.
Comments about Product:This is my favorite new product! I even featured it on my blog, friendsforagreenworld.blogspot.com. I had been so unhappy using non-biodegradable plastic trash bags for my landfill-destined trash that already is a nuisance. We compost, recycle, re-use, and now, the stuff that we have to dispose of is in biodegradable bags. Hooray! Friendforagreenworld
4.0 These bags are a fine substitute for regular kitch
Comments about Product:These bags are a fine substitute for regular kitchen bags. I was worried they would rip when taking them out of the trash can, but they did not. They are a bit shorter than regular kitchen bags, so one side kept slipping into the can when it got fuller. I wish I could use these all the time, but honestly, the cost and fact that I can't pick them up at any local stores when I run out will probably prevent me from doing that.

Comments about Product:Well, I do love that the bags are biodegradable but they are complicated to get out of the box and find the tear point! I got so frustrated that I unrolled the whole length and detatched each one so I could keep my sanity each time I replace a bag. Wish they could improve on that!
Comments about Product:So far, I'm really happy with the BioBag. It's great knowing we're not contributing to the plastic in landfills. The only drawbacks are (1) the box they come in. it would be easier if there was a dispenser-type box rather than having them all rolled together. and (2)there are no twist ties with the bags. It's hard to tie them in a knot. The only solution is not to fill them as full so a knot can be tied, but then that is wasteful - I like to fill the bag up as much as possible in order to go through fewer bags, especially at how expensive they are! overall, a great product - just needs some extra thought put into the details.

Comments about Product:Though I love the idea of these bags I find that they are much to thin. If they made them in a thicker mm I would continue to buy, but until then I must stick with the store bought.

Comments about Product:I feel we should all do our part in protecting the environment and these bags are one more way we can do that. I am very happy with the strength of the bags and I am hoping, all plastic bags will one day be fully replaced with biodegradable bags.
Comments about Product:These kitchen bags are GREAT! We have been using them in our house for a couple of years now. They have never torn open in the entire time and we do fill them up. Great product, thank you.

Comments about Product:I sold them to a customer of mine, her feedback was this: Somehow maggots got into the bag and it broke appart all over her garage. Maybe they break down too fast, I told her. How long did she leave it in the garage? I can't be sure, maybe a day or two. It's kind of hot here this time of year. I haven't used mine yet. I tend to empty my garbarg faster. And I composte my food garbarg too.
3.0 I was surprised to find that these 13 gallon bags
Comments about Product:I was surprised to find that these 13 gallon bags seem smaller than the 13 gallon name brand plastic bags from the store. I am actually using this size in the smaller trash cans around my house.

Comments about Product:The only thing I would change at this point on the Tall Kitchen garbage bags is they need to be taller by about 3-4 inches. They are not long enough to really fit my kitchen garbage can. All other tall kitchen garbage bags that I have used have gone all the way to the bottom of the can, unlike yours which hang a few inches above the bottom of the can and barely go over the top. They are just too short. Glad I had the opportunity to let you know. Thanks. Rachel Moore
Comments about Product:I didn't like these. They are very skimpy, almost too short for a regular sized kitchen can. There's no room to tie at the top and when I pulled the bag out of my can, the outside was all wet. So they either sweat or they leak pretty bad. I like Biobags dog waste bags but these will need to have some improvements before I buy them again.
5.0 Finally, the end of the kitchen trash argument in
Comments about Product:Finally, the end of the kitchen trash argument in our house! My husband refuses to take out the trash if there is not a bag and I refuse to buy plastic that is going to go in a landfill so we were at an impass. Now we use Biobags and have been using them for almost a year now. They hold up super and well and we have not had any accidents with ripping or tearing. I worked out the cost and it is not much more than traditional wasteful bags. We love our Biobags, thanks for stocking them and I hope you sell them in bulk again in the future. Marilynn H.
