- Recommended for: shampoos, conditioners, lotions, suntan oil, liquid soaps, condiments (ketchup, cooking oil, etc.), hand-sanitizer, body wash, secret sauce, magic potions and many other low and medium viscosity fluids!
- Not recommended for: pressurized products like shaving cream/gels/foams (in metal or hard-plastic cans), contact lens solution, BioSilk detangler, Moroccan Oil hair treatment, some essential oils, "Gloss Serum" by Organic Control Systems, Clinique "Take Your Day Off" makeup remover, Liquid Stevia, Neutrogena Sesame Oil, hydrochloric acid (duh).

I am not reviewing this product, per se, as I have not had the opportunity of using it, yet. However, I am a bit mystified by the jump in price from the 2 oz size to the 3 oz size. What's up with that? I would expect the 3 oz size to be $10 or even $12 for the set of three, but $26? That's triple the 2 oz size and not consistent with the small-to-medium size price progression. I'm sad about that and will probably get the 2oz size instead of the 3 oz size that I want because of the price difference. Thus I'm rating 'value' low until I receive and use the product. Maybe the product itself will change my mind so stay tuned. :D By Penelope L

I forgot #5! I use them on our boat for dish washing soap, hand soap, condiments, etc. because they are much less apt to fly around the galley, head or salon when we hit rough seas. Even if they fall over, doubtful as their center of gravity is so low, they don't leak!!! By Penelope L

Here's the essential selling point for me: these bottles do. not. leak. Boom, worth my twenty bucks.I've had too many incidents where an attempt at packing my own shampoo ends up smeared all over my other toiletries because I used a crappy drugstore tube.
GoToob let me carry some gloriously multipurpose Dr. Bronner's on a trip this weekend with no spills.
My only criticism is that the liquid in the bottle comes out in a pressurized stream - meaning, it's hard to get just a tiny bit of soap if that's what you need. I worked around this by unscrewing the cap and pouring what I needed out, however, so I still love GoToob.

Well! This is second time I bought these gotoobs because my sister took my first set! They are very handy and keep the liquids inside from leaking! The trick is to make sure the lip of the container is very very clean - no smears!! before you screw the cap on. If there is ANYTHING like dressing or oil on the lip of the container, it will not seal tight and you will end up with a big mess later!Also need to mention that humangear and reuseit customer service is OUT OF THIS WORLD AWESOME. They both responded super quick to my complaint that one of my caps got moldy (freak accident - do NOT squeeze the gotoob with the cap still closed - it will cause the liquid to work its way into the crevice of the cap and MOLD will happen!) And humangear sent out 3!! new caps AND a new mid-sized gotoob in pink just to say "sorry!" WHAAAAAAT!!! It was the most amazing thing to happen to me in customer service! PLUS A HAND WRITTEN NOTE WAS INCLUDED IN MY PACKAGE!!!!
Therefore, humangear and reuseit has earned a customer for life in me. Everything I buy from now on (gifts, etc) will be coming from humangear and reuseit first. This is how outstanding their customer service is. THANK YOU SO MUCH REUSEIT and HUMANGEAR!!!

5.0 Finally, a yogurt-tube alternative!!

I bought these b/c I was tired of putting disposable yogurt tubes in my kids lunches (and my kids don't like the hassle of a spoon and small container for regular yogurt -- not sure why...). I fill them every day with kefir now. The components are easy to take apart and re-assemble for cleaning, and the wide mouth is easy to pour into. These toobs may be good for items you may want to take to lunch. But if you put something like shampoo/soap in them for travel (which they are marketed for too) they will often start to mold around the edge. I returned thinking it was a design flaw, but it happened again. I'm not sure why, if it is the type of plastic or the shape of the opening, but it happened numerous times and not after an extended period of time. By Theresa F

We just got back from a fishing trip in Canada. I filled ours with our shampoos and shower gel. They're just the right size, and fit just right in your palm....especially when your hands are wet and soapy. The 3oz are just about right for a one week trip (in fact, we each had more shampoo than we needed). I also love that since the material is very flexible, it will be much easier to get that last bit of whatever is in them, as opposed to a rigid plastic container. By Jean S

I bought these Go Toobs for an international trip from the US to India. They held up well in my checked luggage without leaking at all. They held more than enough shampoo, conditioner, and face wash for a week-long trip. I used them for the gym after my trip, and I loved how easy it was to get every last drop out. I ordered these specifically for carrying salad dressing with me in my lunch bag. With thicker dressings, it works perfectly. Vinegar occasionally leaks into the cap, but it never seems to leak out of the cap so it doesn't bother me. Each of these are the perfect size for a week's worth of dressing. Highly recommend! Not one to purchase small "single-use" type products... I came here (to reusablebags.com) to find a solution to purchasing a bunch of 3 oz individual containers for traveling with an unchecked bag. I was happy to find these... they were very easy to fill and I really LOVE the ability to twist the cap and change the "label". Also, being that they're made from silicone... the shampoo/conditioner doesn't stick to the inside... so I'm able to get out all the product that I put in. AND most importantly.... I was really surprised to feel how pliable GoToobs were when I first opened the package--makes it SO easy to get every last drop out of whatever you put in there! The ID windows are a little hard to read unless you put it right up to your face, but are useful nonetheless. It seemed like a lot of money to drop for three little plastic tubes (over $30 after tax and shipping), but have you ever tried to travel on the CTA with salad dressing in your work bag, just praying the cap doesn't loosen on your 40 minute commute? It's not fun, and it's usually messy....that is, until I got GoToobs. The no-drip feature on GoToobs is amazing and really works! In the end, once I saw how easy they were to use/clean, and once I realized how much less I'd be using single-use condiment packages I was a pretty happy camper. Worth every penny! By melissa B

Just tried out the humangeer reusable travel containers. I had no trouble in getting them through security or leaking issues, or using them. They were easy to fill and easy to use.
