I was happy with my purchase because I liked the idea of sending fresh juice with my son. I do not give him pouch or boxed juice. Everything went well. Love the packaging but then my son came home with the lid broken off at the back hinge. A few other mothers had this problem.
I bought two of these in Feb 2015 (orange and pink) and my kids LOVE them! Everyone that sees them will stop and ask us about them. My son broke the clasp on his, but ReUseIt gladly replaced it. Their customer service was exceptional and the woman I spoke to was so gracious! Beyond happy with the product and the company!!
These boxes are expensive for little plastic containers, but worth it in my opinion. I like sending juice in my son's lunch but hate the waste, so was happy to find these as a regular refillable water bottle doesn't fit in his lunchbox. Plus it's cheaper to buy organic, 100% juice in large cartons, or make your own. I read a review to make sure the top is open when putting on the lid to avoid any leakage, and always do that and I've never had a leak (even when son puts it back in his lunchbox not empty). There's an air hole in the top and if you leave the lid open when putting on the top it allows the excess air to escape, securing a leak-free close. I originally bought two but one accidentally got thrown away, so I'm back purchasing 3 more. My son is rough on his water bottles and I've gone through several in a few months, but these look brand new even after running through the dishwasher several times a week.
I purchased 3 at the beginning of the school year. Great idea, cool look BUT after a while I began to see mold in hard to reach crevices. Several parts are replaceable but the rubber part under the straw is not and it is difficult to clean and dry. The hardest part is the plastic part where it closes hard to get in there. Unless there is an upgrade that us tweaked somehow I will not be purchasing them for the next school year.
Gave these for gifts and couldn't believe how much the kids loved them! The silicone seal was excellent, each kid could open and close theirs with a little effort - they filled them up immediately upon opening them and sipped all night - and not even a drop came out. (I told them it was just a small present and when they opened them, they asked me why I would have said that because they liked having their own juice boxes so much). Highly recommend this product!
Love love love these for my kid's lunches. They don't leak and save a ton on prepackaged drinks. Great investment and the kids love them. My son's friends even want them.
So far, so good. It's been more than a week that this has been going in my 2nd graders lunch box and it doesn't leak and she loves it. All of her friends want one as well. I put juice in there, chocolate milk, milk, Gatorade, basically anything. It's really easy to clean and I have to say that I was doubtful about the leaking, but it doesn't leak at all.
I love these. They are sturdy, work well, because of their shape store in the cooler for on the go drinks much better, and help children understand correct portion sizes for drinks. I love that they are see through and you can see how much is left. Easy to clean and dishwasher safe is a huge bonus for us.
Love this item, but unfortunately the top bracket (that anchors the lid) broke when my daughter dropped the box onto the kitchen floor. It can still be used, and am hoping the company can maybe send a replacement lid once I call in the problem.
Other than this accidental break, the concept is awesome, cleaning is a cinch, and my daughter adores it. No more wasteful juice boxes, and I can decide what to put in the drink!
The reusable juice box is slightly bigger than a regular carton juice box. I usually just fill it to 3/4 and my kids (6 and 8) say that's more than enough for lunch. Used it with juice and milk. Leaks a little, but not flooding. Wrap it with a cloth napkin and it's good to go. I tell my kids to try and keep their lunchboxes upright, so that helps. The lid flips open with a touch of a "button", and the top is removed easily for cleaning and filling. The lower part of the straw is removeable for cleaning. The upper part of the straw is not removeable (or at least I haven't figured out a way to do it), which makes it harder to clean. You really have to dig under the plastic seal under the top lid to get it rinsed and dried. Room for improvement, but overall a good product.
I bought two of these juice boxes a year ago for my son entering kindergarten. The boxes are attractive and hold liquid without leaking in his lunch box. The silicon straw got holes in it where the lid pinches it shut. If the silicon straw part and silicon gasket are not removed regularly for washing black gunk forms between the gasket and the colored plastic box. There is some part that is not accessible in the lid that also develops black gunk and there is no way to reach it to clean it.
These are the perfect size for my child's lunch box. I ordered three and was thrilled until one broke within a week. It would not close no matter how I pushed. Another one lasted several months of daily use before it also refused to close. The third, also used daily, made it the 6 mos to the end of school year.
I purchased 2 of these reusable juice boxes in February 2014. The first time my daughter used it, the clasp broke. The company immediately sent me a replacement. Since then, my kids have used these boxes occasionally, maybe a few times per month. This morning I discovered that the clasp had broken on one of the boxes. As much as my kids and I love using them, I can't recommend them if 2/3 of the clasps broke.
Although there is a way to recycle some of the aluminum juice packets, I like the idea of using reusable containers. We've used pouches, which were hard to clean. We've used water bottles, which don't always transport well. When we found these, we were very excited! They fill easily and clean easily. For the last 9 months, they've worked very well, with minimal dripping. Over the last month. nearly all of them have fallen apart. Cracked tops or tops that won't close properly, and tops that won't fit into the boxes. I don't know of anything else out there that was this good, so I'm not sure what we can replace this with!
Purchased four of these for my kids. In less than a month one is broken. The flip top lid attachment just broke right off. Very disapointed, as my kids loved them and recived many compliments when we were out using them.
1. It was bigger than I expected.
2. I must not have read the description because I thought I was buying three boxes based on the picture, when in fact, it was one.
3. It worked great, kids loved it, sealed perfectly.
4. After 2 months of use, the plastic hinge pieces broke off while washing it, rendering the lid broken.
5. It is difficult to clean the mold that accumulates under the soft plastic parts under the straw seal and around the lid seal.
