Design & Functionality
A wide-mouth version of Klean Kanteen‘s highly-rated, 100% BPA-free, stainless steel reusable bottle. It provides a great alternative for those who love the wider mouth of standard cups but want to avoid polycarbonate (plastics). This affordable bottle works with most hiking water filters, and the wide mouth is perfect for filling the bottle with ice cubes and makes it extremely easy to clean. Cap is interchangeable with any other Klean Kanteen Wide cap.
Materials
Made from electro-polished, non-leaching, high-grade 18/8 stainless steel blended specifically for food preparation, dairy, brewing and various other applications where mineral migration is unacceptable. Plastics (polycarbonate) have been shown to leach carcinogens including BPA after cleaning and with regular use and exposure to heat.
Stainless steel is an iron-containing alloy made from some of the basic elements found in earth: iron ore, chromium, silicon, nickel, carbon, nitrogen and manganese. Properties of the final alloy are tailored by varying amounts of these elements. There are more than 57 stainless steels recognized as standard alloys on the market. Klean Kanteens are constructed from high-quality sanitary-grade 304 stainless steel, which has low nickel content. Stainless steel has excellent resistance to stain or rust due to its chromium content, making it a material of choice among the food processing, dairy and brewery industries. It’s easy to clean, durable, inert and sanitary.

About Klean Kanteen
Klean Kanteen is a family-owned company in Chico, CA. It was the first company to create a stainless steel beverage container to curb the use of single-use water bottles and to respond to credible reports about chemicals in common plastic drinking & food containers. Since 2004, Klean Kanteen has informed the public about the health and environmental hazards of eating and drinking from plastic containers at consumer and trade shows such as Green Festivals, Outdoor Retailer Market, Natural Products Expo West and East, Interbike Expo, Whole Children Whole Planet and many others.
Klean Kanteen visits their manufacturing facilities in China 4-5 times per year and performs audits every six months to ensure all their products are produced with respect for the environment and fair labor standards, including: the ethical treatment of factory workers, child labor, wages/benefits, health and safety, etc. Additionally, they do regular lab testing on random shipments through a local lab in the U.S. to ensure their products are made per their specifications, are free of hazardous substances such as lead and do not leach chromium, manganese, etc.
Care Instructions
Klean Kanteens are dishwasher safe (washing caps in the dishwasher is not recommended because H2O can squeeze into the cap) or easy to clean with a bottle brush and mild soap. We recommend an old-fashioned cleaner: white vinegar and baking soda.
Stainless steel does not rust. If your bottle appears to have rusted, it is a harmless residue left behind from the electro-polishing process. (Electro charges remove fine particles from the stainless steel surface, remove impurities and seal it. Harmless electrolytes are left behind and sometimes turn a rust color).

For the last year I've been searching locally for a stainless steel water bottle that would hold 64oz. I have used BPA free plastic ones for the last 2 years but hated always having to hand wash them. When I came across this one, I was thrilled! It's light weight, fits nicely in the dishwasher and doesn't make the water taste funny. My hubby destroyed his plastic one on the job site so he's pretty happy to finally have one that will stand up to a little more wear and tear.Thanks for carrying these Reuseit!

I'm in the gym 3-4 days a week 3-3 1/2 hours per, staying hydrated USED to be a problem using "wimpy" plastic bottles of all shapes and designs. Kleen Kanteen 64oz.requires JUST 1 REFIL, no muss no fuss no problem. The Stainless Steel body is right at home in a gym setting, except when doing cardio.(the "cup holders" are too small) This is a Big water bottle but it's very managable, by day 2 you don't even notice the extra weight. 64 oz.= 1/2 gallon. I love Klean Kanteen stainless steel bottles. I have tried all of their sizes and each is useful for different purposes. I mostly use the 64 oz bottle for daily use at home. I fill it up about once a day and use it as my source of filtered drinking water and to make tea (so I can drink right away from the bottle instead of waiting at the tap for the water to get filtered every time). I actually ended up getting 3 because my husband thought it was perfect to take along when he does strenuous exercise. The other sizes don't hold enough fluids for him to last his entire workout. The wide mouth is great for putting ice in it and when cleaning. I found it convenient to have an extra bottle at home so I never run out of immediately available drinking water on days I need more water than usual. This size is also great for camping trips, longer hikes, and other trips where you want to bring all your drinking water. I'm thinking about keeping some on hand in case of emergencies too, such as earthquakes (I'm in CA). The only things I don't like about the bottle is it's hard for me to hold it with one hand (but it's not a big deal--I just use both hands to pour), and I suspect that like the other bottles, this one will get dinged over time. Again, not that big a deal either unless it's gets so badly dinged that it won't stand up on it's own on a flat surface--only a problem for chronically klutzy people like me ;) By Jennifer R

I purchased a smaller version a while back and loved it but I wanted one bigger. I filter water in a countertop pitcher and wanted something to then put the water in to store in the fridge. The wide mouth is easy to fill and pour from and the stainless steel keeps the water ice cold. If we are on the go I can just grab it and it holds enough water for the entire family. Love it!! Just what I was looking for. When you drink as much water as I do, filling up the same .75 liter or even 1 liter repeatedly can be annoying. I wanted to fill up less! And, I DO. Perfect for a nursing mother who needs more water. I was resorting to pitchers to get what I needed when I needed it. Convenient. I paired the recommended wide-mouth top to make it more personal-user friendly, and am VERY happy. The only thing I would recommend is making this size with an indent to make holding with one hand easier for us with little hands.
