The Kid Kanteen Sippy Cup features the same durable steel construction with a proprietary sippy cap designed to help little people stay hydrated. Cap is made of BPA-free polypropylene and features a removable valve for easy cleaning. Curvy corners and rounded threads leave no place for germs to hide out, making Kid Kanteen reusable bottles easy to care for. Slim design fits most bottle/cup holders. Klean Kanteen reusable bottles replace wasteful, use-and-toss plastic bottles, while saving money in the process – which ultimately means you consume less over time. 18/8 stainless steel is a sustainable material with a long service life and usability in a number of applications. Stainless steel also requires little maintenance and can be sufficiently cleaned without the use of harsh chemicals. Both stainless steel and polypropylene are 100% recyclable.
Fact: over 50% of new stainless steel comes from re-melted stainless steel scrap (SSINA)
About Klean Kanteen
Klean Kanteen, a family-owned company in Chico, CA, was the first to create a stainless steel beverage container to curb the use of the one-time use water bottle and in response to credible reports about chemicals in common plastic drinking and food containers. Since 2004, Klean Kanteen has been informing the public about the health and environmental hazards of eating and drinking from plastic containers at consumer and trade shows such as Green Festivals, Outdoor Retailer Market, Natural Products Expo West and East, Interbike Expo, Whole Children Whole Planet and many others.
Klean Kanteen visits their manufacturing facilities 4-5 times per year and performs audits every six months to ensure all of their products are produced with respect for the environment and fair labor standards, including: the ethical treatment of factory workers, child labor, wages/benefits, health and safety, etc. Additionally, they do regular lab testing on random shipments through a local lab in the U.S. to ensure their products are made per their specifications, are free of hazardous substances such as lead, and do not leach chromium, manganese, etc.

Care Instructions
Brushed Stainless bottle is dishwasher safe. Painted bottles should be washed by hand. Klean Kanteens are easy to clean with a bottle brush and mild soap. We recommend an old fashioned cleaner: white vinegar and baking soda.
Stainless steel does not rust. If your bottle appears to have rusted, it is a harmless residue left behind from the electro-polishing process. Electro charges remove fine particles from the stainless steel surface, remove impurities and seal it. Electrolytes left behind sometimes turn a rust color, but it's harmless.
Tip
Do not freeze bottle. The force of liquids expanding as they freeze can cause your Klean Kanteen to become deformed and can also break the weld that holds the bottle together. Freezing any Klean Kanteen will void the one-year warranty against manufacturer defects.
