Design and Functionality
The insulated zippered carrying case features an interior mesh pocket for placing a non-toxic, reusable ice pack (sold separately) keeping temperature sensitive foods cool. It also helps protect foods from the possibility of developing harmful bacteria especially between leaving the house and lunchtime. The case also has an outer envelope pocket that zips shut – great for packing a cloth napkin. Designed to fit on an airplane tray, the thermal carrying case has a durable shoulder strap and is very useful for meals while traveling. The case also sports a stylish name tag for parents to label their child's kit.

Materials
Exterior fabric made with 100% post-consumer recycled polypropylene material
Interior lined with PEVA
Fabric printed with soy ink

Sustainability
Billions of single-use bags, baggies and food containers are consumed each year. When used in place of disposable single-serving containers and throwaway packaging, each Laptop Lunch Kit has the potential to eliminate 1000s of disposables over its lifetime, preserving natural resources, protecting the environment and saving you money in the process.

Additionally, home made lunches are not only more nutritious than pre-packaged lunches, but they tend to cost less as well. Estimates suggest that families can save about $250 per person each year this way.

About Laptop Lunches
The Laptop Lunch Kit was developed by two mothers (Tammy Pelstring and Amy Hemmert) with a mission of helping families improve lunchtime nutrition and reduce waste. And since they believe that healthy kids come from healthy communities, they donate a portion of profits to schools and environmental organizations.

1.0 very dissapointed

Comments about Product:

I bought 2 Bento Boxes for my children who love to bring their lunch to school. My 10 year old daughter has been using her box (flowers) since September. In less than 4 month the material around the handle is fraying. She carries the lunchbox inside her bookbag to and from school. I'm surprised that at this price the product is so poorly made. I would not purchase this again nor recommend it.

5.0 Best lunch container we have found!

Comments about Product:

I have tried MANY lunch systems/containers and always seem to go back to our Bento carrier. I got it for my daughter 2-3 years ago and it's held up beautifully. I hand wash the containers and it's very fast and easy to do...even when I am pulling it out of my daughter's backpack that morning! No corners or hidden crevices to deal with. I barely have to wipe out the outer carrier because the inner compartments keep everything contained. I've tried many others cuz they were cute, seemed easier or were organic. But this one is my tried and true go-to. My daughter just carries this like a purse and holds her water bottle...or packs a juice box since we can recycle them now. Only complaint is needs better variety of patterns, then it would be perfect!!!

4.0 Working great so far!

Comments about Product:

I have a very fussy eater who just entered kindergarten. After the chef at her preschool and her teachers suggested strongly that she bring her lunch, I went looking for something that would make lunch fun. There was definitely a learning curve with opening the inner Bento box. Several days of practice were required before she got it right. I like the setup where she doesn't have to unpack everything, but just open it up, so she's less likely to leave something on the table and lose it. Remember to label each box & lid. She loves picking out food for each compartment.

If you're going to use this every day, I'd recommend getting a second set of the bento box & compartments so you aren't rushing to wash everything every night. I've seen several reviews that bashed the lack of water bottle. I agree they should include one or at least sell/recommend one that will go with it, but I found a small water bottle from Enviro Products to go with it and it fits fine. (approx. dimensions: 6"h x 2.5"dia)

2.0

Comments about Product:

I was disappointed that the bento carrier really can't fit even a small water bottle along side the bento box. It says it can but that is just not true. You can squeeze a small one in the outside pocket, but then it can't zip up and the whole point for getting the box and carrier was because of how it's rectangular-slender shape fits well into a backpack. I would not recommend this carrier. I love the bento box though!

Thank you for asking me what I think!

Deborah
