Instead of using synthetic laundry detergents, just toss a Super Wash Ball+ in your wash load and get the same cleaning power for a fraction of the cost and waste. The Super Wash Ball+ is a healthy, allergen-free alternative to chemical detergents and powders. I have two boys who are outside constantly: soccer, playing, digging, you name it. I also have a serious-runner husband who also does mounds of yard work each weekend.I use the wash balls with washing soda (not baking soda). Sometimes I use warm water for super-dirty stuff, but I generally use the cold setting otherwise.
Everything is clean. Muddy soccer clothes. Dirt-encrusted yardwork clothes. My daughter's bed cover that she wouldn't let me wash for months. Stinky running clothes. It all came out clean. I did have to treat and re-wash a curry stain, but even that came out. (I haven't, blessfully, had to try blood stains yet!)
Sometimes if I'm feeling ambitious, I'll use them with soap, too, but the cleanliness of the clothes doesn't seem to change a whole lot.
I will probably still pretreat difficult stains (grass, blood, wine, curry, etc.).
Honestly, my tolerance for laundry stains is pretty high. (I don't care if my socks are their whitest, and I think dishtowels will always be stained as I don't use papertowels.) But, all in all, I couldn't be more pleased!

We bought these washer balls with a lot of skepticism. We have been pleasantly surprised! Our clothes get clean and smell great! We always try to hang our clothes on the line but if we put them in the dryer we use the dryer balls. Our clothes always smell pleasant but not over powering like with fabric softener. I was hopeful these would work but they are no different than just washing clothes in plain water. Even treating stains normally as directed these could not even get routine dirt and soil out. Save the money and just use no detergent at all on items with no dirt or soiling at all. Rewashed everything in detergent and it was clean again. By Janine U

This product said it will work in both Standard and High Efficiency washing Machines, But The Machine that I am using is ultra H.E. The longest wash cycle available was 30 minutes and even when I selected the maximum load with minimum cloth, The water still not cover the whole washing ball and the clothes, at last, the clothes were not as clean as before with detergent. I am always trying to find ways to save some money and be gentler on the environment. We are a family of four so the washer seems to be running constantly. When I first saw these on the site I was very skeptical. How can you wash without soap? I ordered them and gave them the ultimate test, a dog blanket that was filthy and had blood stains on it. I used no detergent, didn't pre-treat the stains either and to my surprise it came out not only amazingly clean but it was softer than it's been in years! All of our clothes are softer too (we also use the dryer balls) I love these so much I'm telling all of my friends and family! You've got to try these, they are awesome! By Ryan H

I'm a farm hand by trade, so my clothes tend to be disgustingly dirty at the end of the week. Sweat, soil, bird poop, and rotten vegetables are just a few of the things ground into my clothes. These wash balls really do the trick though. My clothes always come out clean, I just make sure to put the washer on a long cycle to give them the chance to work. We have been using it for at least four months and like it very much. When it first came I put it to the test, washing one towel which had been rubbed with dirt and one which had been soaked in pumpkin seed oil. I found that the ball removed dirt amazingly well and took out all the oil, but that stains have to be pretreated. My clothes are now soft! Even my gardening blue jeans! I love it. Since I have had severe reactions to detergents, my husband, who does the laundry, had previously used only mall amounts. Now we use none, except for the tiny amounts used to pretreat stains. I am delighted to find that my clothes are really soft and comfortable now that the detergent residue is gone. By Karin B

I have been using a pair of these for about 4 months. I usually need a 3rd washer, so I in the 3rd load I use regular detergent. I was hesitant to try this, but finally decided to give it a go, and have not been disappointed. Its so easy, and clothes and colors look great. Clothes feel clean and fresh. I still pre-treat stains, but clothes are coming as clean as with detergent, without the smells, hassle and sticky drips, etc. I plan to give it as a Holiday present as I figure there are others who would like to try it, but talk themselves out of it because of the initial price.View All
