Your review helped me buy this, so the most helpful thing I can say is that water gets cold in this very fast when you place it in the fridge. It's in and out of the fridge. Things stay cold in it. Good top.
I've had it for years, waited to review then left it. Haven't dropped. Good size for everyday outings. Keep it up right. It does leak a bit, everyone said it didn't; it's a great top, fast on/off, but if it has little in it, it won't but much liquid and I find water on my (also reusit) string bag.
Just a great thing to have and circumvents using those plastic bottles, the little ones, that I read online only one in four gets recycled. maybe worldwide, not US. Shame.
Also maybe I'm not closing the bottle tightly, but it screws on so well it doesn't seem to need any thing since it revolves speedily like a top.
My mother bought some of these, but oddly she still buys the 17oz plastic water in 24 packs - defeating the purpose of having this - but she did grow up in the 50s. She bought the large ones and I'm not sure what she does with them, I don't see her carrying them. They sit by the plastic water, which she drinks warm.
Oh! Lovely design. Aesthetically pleasing. I think I need to buy more of these. I didn't find a need for the handle. It's never tipped over. But someone suggested getting the short one. I haven't tried the tall one.
Terrific product and small enough to fit in a handbag.
I bought this bottle for my 6 year-old to replace the plastic bottle in her Laptop Lunch set (this bottle does just barely fit in the Original Laptop Lunch set- the only non-plastic bottle I've found that will). After receiving it, I was concerned about the weight compared to a plastic or stainless steel bottle. However, my daughter loved the bottle and didn't mind carrying it since (1)the bottle looks great with the purple silicone sleeve and she immediately loved it, and (2)she noticed that the water tastes so much better in it. I was a little surprised she didn't mind the extra weight, but she's used it for months now and still loves it. It's stood up well to daily use and still looks brand new we've always handwashed it).
I love these little bottles for my juice and tea I take to lunch. Perfect size!
I bought 4 of these. I was looking for a reusable bottle I could put milk in and be able to throw in the dishwasher. These bottles work out perfectly. They wash well, are a perfect size to carry in your bag and are lightweight. What I especially like is the opening is not too large so you don't spill when you sip. ***Just a hint, if you wish to give the bottom a good scrub before putting it in the dishwasher, wrap a wet paper towel around a knife and swish it around the bottom. You can get all the edges that way.
I love this bottle - it's kid-size, but is actually perfect for everyone, as it's not too heavy. The glass is great - easy to clean and no odors. Also love the purple casing that is comes in.
I got these for my grandchildren and they're fine -- don't seem vulnerable to breakage. However, I thought these had sippy-type tops, and I was surprised that I had to order them from another site.
I like this product; the bottle fits nicely into my son's lunchbox and the silicon sleeve passed the crash test when I accidentally dropped one of his bottles onto the tile floor of our kitchen ( !). Here's the 'but': I found the caps less crash-proof. During the first week of use, my son came home with a lunchbox filled with milk because the cap cracked (he later told me he always drops his lunchbox on the floor when he's done; we're working on that part).
I like the size of this bottle--not too big but not too small--for transporting water, milk, and other beverages for my daughter. I don't mind carrying different kinds of drinks because the glass is easy to clean and no lingering smells.
I really like this bottle. I don't have kids, but I use it myself. I also bought a larger size to use as my water bottle. The only thing I dont' like is the narrow opening makes it hard to clean the bottom. I'm looking for a smaller bottle brush so I can clean it to the bottom.
I couldn't resist getting both an adult and kid size LifeFactory bottle when my son needed an
resuable water bottle for his lunch. I haven't had any problems with the adult size (16oz, I think) but with the smallest size I'm always having to sop up the excess moisture in his lunch box at day's end. Now, I'm sure a tiny bit of this is that he's 5 and doesn't screw the lid back on as tightly as I might, but still, I can't put juices in this or I get a sticky mess in the lunch
box. I haven't had one day go by that the lunchbox isn't wet.
I ordered the Takeya bottle for my other son and it doesn't leak at all. So guess I'll
go with the Takeya in the future even though I prefer the looks of the Life Factory.
I love the look and feel of this bottle, but it leaks! What a mess when I carried it to work full of milk to go with my cereal. So now I keep it upright at all times, and it works just fine.
