Design and Functionality
This innovative “stapler” doesn’t require any metal staples at all to bind up to four sheets of paper. Instead, it cuts a tiny strip of paper and uses it to “stitch” the pages together. You won’t have to worry about removing sharp staples, especially when tossing your paper in the recycling bin or shredder.

Made of ABS plastic with metal parts. Packaging made with recycled paper and PET.

A handful of metal staples may not seem like a lot, but consider the energy it costs to make, transport and distribute them. The staple-free stapler is another innovative step you can take to save natural resources and money, too.

To prevent a jammed stapler, do not attempt to staple more than 4 pages at a time.

  1. Clever, quiet, portable review by greenwaymom on 7/12/2016
    Your Product Rating

It took me more than a year to find one of these after I received some papers that were fastened with onebut I kept looking because I thought it was such a great idea. I keep it on my desk and use it when I just need to fasten a few sheets. It is quiet, lightweight, safe, and portable. No supplies needed! Don't toss the regular stapler, though.

  2. Works surprisingly well! review by Linda R on 7/12/2016

Works surprisingly well and now no more staples going through the shredder!

  3. Love it! review by Danielle B on 7/12/2016
    Your Product Rating

I love this staple-free stapler. It's so handy and easy to use.

The only downside is that you can't staple more than 4 or 5 pages at a time. So if you do a lot of bulk stapling, then this little baby won't hold its weight.

But if you aren't 'staple happy' and only use it sparingly, it'll become your best friend.

Bought two one for my husband's desk and one for mine -- so far it is perfect for what we need -- holding a few sheets togther for filing.

  5. Stitches papers together review by Catherine T on 7/12/2016
    Your Product Rating

I am glad I took a chance on buying another staple free stapler. This not only punches out 2 to four sheets of paper but then stitches them together. They stay together, unlike that

other nameless staple free stapler. Also, I like that they came in a choice of colors. How it stitches one paper together still is a bit mysterious, even though I chose the clear (or translucent), so I can see how it operates.

  6. my daughter loves this! review by Julia C on 7/12/2016

what an ingenius idea! perfect for kids, perfect for saving money and all my real staplers malfunctioned 90% of the time anyhow.

    definitely would recommend this.

  7. practical and innovative review by susan h on 7/12/2016

I found the first one of these at an art museum gift shop and then wished I had bought about 5 of them once I used it. So glad to see it is available on reuseit. This really works to keep papers attached together without staples or paper clips. I continue to marvel at the innovation of whoever came up with this idea. It can also be easily undone if necessary. Low-tech, highly effective little product.

  8. Love these staplers review by Eva D on 7/12/2016
    Your Product Rating

I keep ordering more staples and giving them away as gifts. They staple the paper slightly more effectively when pressing down on the staple on a table as opposed to stapeling the papers together up in the air. Bring back the green color and a blue or purple would be pretty,

  9. No metal staple review by Eva D on 7/12/2016

Great for keeping 2-3 pieces of paper together. Can then sent to shredding w/o worry about removing a metal staple. Very fun to use.

  10. Makes stapling fun! review by Judith Z on 7/12/2016
    Your Product Rating

I bought one of these as a Christmas gift for my Mom and it was such a hit that I'm back buying more! It's more attractive than an old-fashioned stapler and I love using this stapler so much that I find myself stapling papers I might otherwise leave unstapled - the bonus for me is better organization. Also love it that I don't have to deal with staple jams and running out of staples! I find this stapler staples papers securely, but saw a useful hint for those who want to ensure papers stay together better: staple once along the top and once along the side in the same corner. Happy stapling!

  11. Glad I got it review by Marta L on 7/12/2016

I manage our personal finances at home and have a lot of 2- and 3-page bills to staple together. I recycle and this item is going to save me a lot of time not having to remove staples when I go to purge our old files. It's not going to replace my metal stapler altogether but it will cut down on its use. I keep them next to each other for quick access. The hole was bigger than I thought but since aesthetics is not important for our situation, that's not an issue. I used to scrunch the paper up inside too far which tore the outer edge of the paper but I've learned to not slide the paper in too far.

  12. Making stapling fun and eco-friendly review by Sara C on 7/12/2016

I couldn't be happier with my purchase! This little gadget is fantastic and really fun to use. While it can't staple very many pages together, it is outright perfect for the small jobs like monthly bills or memos. The best part is that you don't have to worry about pulling out staples before sending it through the shredder or throwing it in the recycling bin. Just awesome!

This stapler is fantastic for stapling 2-4 pages together. It's got a neat contraption that neatly folds part of the paper into itself. Magic! No more wasteful staples for us.

This product is now one of my favorites. I love it. It works really well. My office staff all have one now and rave about it. My only wish would be to have one that did more papers. I think the max that I can get a good staple with is about 30 pages. Nonetheless, I would heartily recommend it.

I got this for my four year old son, as he is in the stage of making all of his own books, but always asking for the stapler. he uses so many and then often cuts himself when he is taking them out. this stapler is amazing for him and he loves that it "sews" the paper like mommy sews:) so easy for him to use...it was a bit tough at first to get him to push it down, but now that he has the hang of it, its a breeze! and he loves that he's "saving our planet" at the same time:) thank you so much! definitely recommend this to anyone!

  19. Conversation piece review by Tricia W on 7/12/2016
    Your Product Rating

I bought the Staple Free Stapler for the office and LOVE it. Everyone comes to my desk to ask how I've stappled my documents together. They can't figure out how I managed to make the hole and tuck the paper strip inside itself. When I show them the devise they all want to try it. It's a conversation piece in the office and I'm sure you'll be getting many more orders.

  20. Great little stapler review by Aimee B on 7/12/2016
    Your Product Rating

I bought this so my daughter wouldn't stick herself with the real stapler, but my husband and I found ourselves using it and liking it too. It works great for a small handful of papers, not big jobs. My husband is having his office use it for small jobs now too to save on staples. Overall a great idea.

This stapler is so cool! I am a teacher and my students are amazed by how this stapler works. I love that I'm not using staples.

  22. it works! review by Dee S on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

It's not as permanent as a staple, and the limit is 5 pages, but for what it does, it's very well designed. It punches a hole and threads a strip through another strip. The pages can be pulled apart without tearing, but under ordinary circumstances they hold together very well.

  23. its perfect for me! review by B. D on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

In terms of aesthetics, I mind the sliver of metal a staple creates over a hole from the staple-free stapler. the stitch is ingenious and we don't use the concept often enough--a machine that only uses what is already there. it restructures and moves pieces around in order to accomplish its goal, in contrast to introducing an extraneous element like a staple. with that said it, this model won't replace heavy-duty or electronic staplers. It won't do the job for thick stack of papers that gets passed around the office or flipped through multiple times a day. but for what I use it for, printing off things no more than 5 pages and filing it away, it does the trick. If you have trouble making a stitch for five normal weight papers, you might have a defective one and you can contact reuseit.com as soon as you find out.

  24. Front and center on my desk review by Shannel L on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

This little stapleless stapler is so clever. It took a few tries for me to figure out that you have to punch all the way through to get a complete staple. But once I figured out that it was two "clicks" instead of just one, I haven't used a metal staple since. I wouldn't recommend using it for paperwork that you know will need to be "unstapled" at some point, but for most items it works beautifully.

  25. Love the idea, but function... review by ecofriend on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

I have had this for a few weeks now and I have been trying to use it to staple together sheets of paper that I would normally staple, but for 2-4 sheets it seemed silly to use a stapler. What happens with mine though, is that I have to thread the extra bit through the hole, sometimes this takes a while and I don’t have time to sit there and thread it through each time.

I have also noticed that the sheets don’t stay together when (semi-distructive) kids try and complete worksheets so I would recommend this more for adult office use.

I have not tried the Made By Humans Staple Free Stapler. However it looks cool and I like the idea.

  27. review by Julie N on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

Love the concept of not having to refill my stapler during a busy business day. (And you don't have to go out to buy any staple - refills) I chose RED so I could find it on a cluttered desk. I did try it out - there are times when the device does not thread the closure well enough to hold the two papers together. But the good part is when you have to put your paperwork through a shredder - no problem of having to undo anything metal.

  28. review by Jacob S on 7/11/2016

A decent product. Good for a low use staple. If you are going to flip through pages often it will come apart.

  29. Good for filed papers review by Jackie S on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

Like others have said, this probably won't totally replace your regular stapler, but it does the trick for most of my need. I staple reports together that are for my use or that are going to be filed and rarely handled. For larger packets, or things I don't want a hole punched in, I use my regular stapler or a paper clip. My kids come to the office often and it's nice to not have pulled staples on the floor for my kids to find and put in their mouths. I'm also glad I won't have to buy staples as often, or worry about staple jams.

  30. What a neat tool review by Jocelyn S on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

What a neat tool. Will be very handy for those few pages that need to be kept together, how I dislike have having to remove staples that hold only two pages when shredding. I have visited their web site and thee is a number of bright ideas.

  31. liked the idea, not very resilient review by Megan A on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

I got one of these for my classroom to reduce our staple waste. It worked very well for the first week. But the second week, one of my students put in 5 instead of 4 pieces of paper and the stapler was completely broken. And I couldn't find a way into the contraption to fix it and was forced to throw it out. so I didn't really reduce that much waste after all...

  32. Happy =) Then Sad =( review by Frank C on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

The product arrived in a timely manner and was consistent with it's description and photo. It worked great and was awesome, but then it just broke while trying to staple 3 sheets of standard printer paper. =( I've only had it a month. I will write another review based on how customer service handles this. I would still recommend this product for its useful novelty.

  33. review by Dominique R on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

A bit of a gadget. I have not had the opportunity to use it much, but the few times, the "staples" come undone very easily. I'm thinking it will be useful to "staple" papers for filing only.

  34. Just a novelty review by Amy K on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

This is a cute toy, but it's not something that I would use in the office on a daily basis. It does not attach many papers at once, and they are not attached very permanently. It cuts two oval holes, then bends them inward so the tiny slices of paper become folded over each other on the back. A cute idea, and pretty inovative, but it's really not a 100% replacement for real staples.

  35. I want to like it - but... review by Ann-Marie B on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

I love the IDEA of this staple free stapler - but I am not finding that it is that useful for us. I'm trying to use it when I just have one or two pages to keep together, but I don't find that the attachment is really strong enough. I think this is a good idea for young children who should not use regular staplers.

  36. it works, I just don't like it review by Natalie S on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

This stapler does fasten 3-4 sheets of paper together with a stitch, that much is true. And it's nice to not have to pull a staple out when I'm throwing things in the recycle bin. But I don't like the hole it makes in my papers and I don't think it holds as well as a staple. It does what it says, though - so I still use it when I'm just temporarily keeping things together.

  37. works, just not to replace staples review by Eric S on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

I got this to replace my stapler but it is definitely not a product that can. If you need to put papers together that will later be shredded then this is a good option. But for permanent uses, stick with staples.

  38. Worked twice review by Tina on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

I used the stapler twice - right out of the package to make sure it worked. I followed the directions and it was fine. The next time it didn't work. Won't do anything but leave a very small mark and not hold papers (less than four, as instructed) together. Don't know if something is stuck or it broke. I can't open it to fix it. Too bad. Money not well spent on this item.

  39. OK but not great review by Lindsay L on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

This really doesn't hold the papers together well, one little tug and they come apart. It's fun and safe for the kids but I expected more.

  40. gets stuck easily review by Jill F on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

I've only used this 2 or 3 times and it appears to be irreparably stuck. It worked fine at first but then I made the mistake of trying to staple 5 sheets even though the wrapper says no more than 4. I thought perhaps it wouldn't work as well but I didn't think the thing would completely lose functionality. I cannot get it to pop up to release the remaining torn pieces of paper. I know I broke the rules by inserting more than 4 sheets of paper but I don't think this it's a very useful product if that's all it can do.

  41. Nice idea, but... review by Lisa C on 7/11/2016
    Your Product Rating

This is a nifty little novelty item, but not really practical. The illustration shows what appears to be a rather long tab fed through the slit; looks fairly secure. In reality, it's a tiny little tab that just barely goes through the slit; not secure at all. Cute for showing what's better than a one-use staple, but stick with paperclips.
