After reading the reviews I was excited to purchase this bag. It was the first reuseable bag that I actually purchased. I have lots of bags that were free. Before using the bags, I reinforced the straps with my sewing machine as I had read that some people had problems with them coming apart after only a couple uses.What I don't remember reading is that this bag is thin. After only three uses I already have a tear in the bag. Another problem is that this bag is big and it is super heavy after the checker at the store fills it up. I don't know if I exceeded the 40 lbs or not, but even 40 lbs is heavy. I do like the concept of this bag, but I am not impressed with this product and would not recommend that anyone buy it.

They are so awesome! I love not having more than two bags to deal with and once they're in the cart, they stay there until I get to the car! Today was my first time suing them and I got some stares. I think people wanted to ask but either didn't or couldn't. The cashier LOVED them (and me for making his line move more quickly.) Great deal! I think it will be my new gift to people! I had orignally purchased the Reisenthel EasyBags which did not fit all the way across the carts at Aldi. So then I returned those and purchased these Pack-N-Tote Grocery Cart Helper Bags. They are a little bit bigger and do fit all the way across the cart at the bottom (the smaller part) of the carts. Still not that impressed with the bag. I have used it one time and it is just ok. I wish there was a large enough bag to fit all the way across and be deep enough to touch the bottom of the cart so you could load it with heavy items. By Leola L

About 15 years ago I purchased 2 Cart Helper bags to use for shopping. The plastic hook/handles cracked after about 5 years, but they held up with an application of good old faithful duct tape for the next 10 years. Recently, the handles "gave up the ghost" despite the fact that the bag material and stitching was helding up well. I Googled Cart Helper and found them!! I have used the new ones several times, and I am very pleased that the same material was used as in the originals. However, the addition of strap handles will add to the life of the plastic hooks for hanging on the grocery cart edges. Good idea!!!Almost every time I have used my Cart Helpers in the market, someone remarks that they are a great idea. So, for 15 years I have saved many plastic bags from the land fill, and had some pleasant chats with folks admiring them. I always tell them to Google Cart Helper and get their own.

I bot 2 bags and they are great! Just clip the bag on the shopping cart and you are ready to shop! I love that I can see how much will fit in the bag so I have an idea of the load I will be carrying from my car to my condo, which is a bit of a hike. Carrying one bag is a lot easier than 8 plastic bags with just an item or two in them. My sister saw this bag and loved the idea. I gave her my other one, before I even started using them. She loves it too because it is so convenient. I noticed some of the grocery shopping carts these days are a bit wider than what the bag expands too, so I have to clip the bag on the narrowist part of the cart. I have purchased several Cart Helper bags over the years. Eventually they needed to be replaced, usually due to normal wear and tear - the bags are used several times a week, and this is to be expected. The latest bags I purchased are made from noticeably thinner material (somewhat translucent even though the same shade of dark navy blue). The third time I used them one had already developed a small hole near a seam (the bags had not been overloaded to cause this), and now the second bag is also slightly torn. I purchased four bags and still have two "on deck" but the previous bags I purchased were much more durable. I wouldn't have needed to replace them except for small tears that had developed over years of use - that plus it isn't easy to keep the bags super clean since they can't go in the washer (older model had hard plastic handles). I absolutely love the older version of these bags and will attempt to repair them since they are obviously more durable. The Cart Helper concept is amazing - best shopping bags I've ever used and I will continue to tell people where I purchased them since I'm asked where I got them nearly every time I shop at the supermarket. But I wish that they were still made of the more damage/tear resistant material they were originally made from. By Natalie G

I never write reviews but I love these bags so much I am compelled to comment. I am ordering these bags today to give to my kids teachers for the end of school. I have twins and use the bag to gather up their things at the end of the day - two backpacks, shoes, craft projects, papers, etc. Their teacher comments on the bag every other day so I thought it was a good choice as a simple thank you gift.I use these primarily for grocery shopping. I love that they stretch accross the basket and make packing easy for baggers. They are super strong and allow me to carry all my groceries into the house at one time. I can usually fit one big shop into two bags. They baggers love them, they make my life easier, I get to save the environment from the evils of plastic grocery bags, I can't say enough about them.
Also, I have an older one that was beginning to show some wear and I cut the sides out of it and converted it into a carrier for my wood. They are virtually indistructable.
The only negative I have is that the closures have not always been reliable - the velcro fasteners have separated from a couple of my bags - but the bags are still usable and I don't take the time to close them up all the way very often anyway, so it's not that bothersome to me. Thanks Bag-Ease!

You can use the velcro closing straps to close them up so your groceries don't roll around the car. Two sturdy straps let you carry them into the house easily. Love these! I've been using these bags for 2 years and can't sing their praises enough! One review commented on the fabric not being durable (maybe just compared to Reisenthal bags?), but I don't see that at all. These are ALL we use for shopping and they are still holding up - and I don't baby them - I just keep piling the groceries in. The clerks love them too! I am back today ordering for my sister and mom - don't know what took me so long to do it. I love these bags and their size but the fabric is not durable. It seems like woven paper. Am switching to residential bags of a similar style but worried they will be too small for US carts.I prefer these bags but the whole idea is reuseable not replaceable.

It is just great the way it opens up in the cart and how much this bag hold. Plus because it is so sturdy I don't have to worry about heavy cans or sharp edges or crushing produce. These bags are a fine second pick if you don't want to spend the money on the Reisenthel Easybags. The quality of fabric isn't anything in comparison to the Reisenthel bags though. They don't have a carrying case, although they do fold up nicely so they are easy to store. I would recommend spending more money and getting the better bag, but these are still better than anything you have to carry by hand (vs. hooking on the shopping cart.) By Alice R

I own 2 of these & I just can't say enough about how great they are. The baggers ALWAYS compliment on them & no one can believe how much stuff can fit in them! When I say to cashiers & bags, "My items can just go right back into these things because they turn into bags," They always ask me to show them how they work! Another great thing about them for me is that I also do all of my mom's shopping since she doesn't drive, so it makes it very easy to keep our stuff separate in the cart. I unload her stuff first & I just ask the bagger to put those items in ONE of the Pack n Totes. For bigger grocery trips, I have 2 different colored sets of the Original Workhorse Bluesign bags which also work great. It's funny when I get back home & my 2 kids & husband all come out to help me unload & I have a Pack n Tote in each hand & no more groceries! As soon as I unpack my items, I fold them up & hang them on the doorknob of my back door. They go right back in the van for my next grocery trip. I appreciate that they fold up small & flat & I can keep them tucked out of the way. I get so many compliments on them from employees & shoppers, I think I need to make little cards to hand out with the name of them & this website. This is my second order for these grocery cart bags and I will not be without them. Purchased 2 more to keep in hubby's car and have 2 in mine. I use them for my regular grocery shopping as well as Costco. Unbelieveable how much they hold and strong enough even for canned foods. The grocery checkers rave about them and how it makes their job easier. Never a shopping trip goes by that I am not stopped by another shopper asking where I purchased these great bags. They close securely with the velcro fastener and the best part is you just pick them up by the handles and transfer an entire cart of groceries into your trunk in 2 bags. I bought several of these thinking they would make shopping/bagging items easier. I'm not overly thrilled with them since they are not deep enough and don't go all the way to the bottom of the cart. However, they do come in handy for keeping things like yogurt containers and fruit from getting squashed by other items in my cart. I would agree this this is a great concept but wasn't completely researched for most shopping cart sizes. I will keep them and use them on occasion when I'm buying dry goods or light weight items. If your grocery store has hand-held self-scanners these bags are perfect- you can scan and pack at the same time. The way they fold up has been really well thought out, so it's easy to do. They hold a **lot**, which is both a plus and a minus: if you are getting a lot of things that are heavy for their size (couple of gallons of milk or juice, some pineapples, some canned goods), the bag will hold more than is easy to carry. If I know that I'm going to be gettin a lot of that stuff I bring more than 1 bag to break it up. Also, go ahead and order two- you really will want it: two fit exactly into a grocery cart, and I can get a full grocery shop for our family of four into the two bags and still carry them. I didn't buy these for the fancy cart clips, rather for their capacity. I HATE plastic bags, and admittedly get truly upset with baggers at the grocery store for double bagging, especially without asking! I have many different types of bags, so when I am doing lots of shopping these hold my milk, meats, cat food...anything really heavy. The baggers at the store LOVE these because they can LOAD AND LOAD without worrying. If you do heavy weight shopping or only want to carry one or two bags, these are for you. Perhaps I got a "lemon," but my bag broke the first time I used it. I had filled with it heavy grocery items, which I'd understood was the bag's purpose, but the weight was clearly too much. One handle ripped apart from the bag, completely detaching before I made it from the garage to my door. I received my bags this morning and used them to shop at W-M this afternoon. They are awesome! I hung 2 of them across my cart - they fit perfectly with plenty of room to spare for my insulated bag for my frozen foods. I filled them up, emptied them onto the check out counter, and then pushed my cart around by the cashier who placed all my items back into the bags after she rang them up! (This W-M has the revolving bag carousel.) It was amazing! I felt like a celebrity while we were shopping since we kept getting long looks from other customers. I bought these bags after reading the reviews on this website. I had been looking for something reusable for quite some time. Everything offered by each store that I shop at seemed cheap and flimsy--I figured they were just as disposable as a plastic bag. These bags are awesome! I bought four because another customer said in her review that it helped to have two to fill in the cart and two for re-packing at the end of the transaction. We also use these bags for camping/road trips. I can carry them easily, which is great for me as I have degenerative disk disease. Trying to carry multiple bags leaves me off balance and usually trying to do too much in each trip. Now I know when I have two full bags and I know that I can manage carrying them. By Amanda O

I absolutely love these bags. It still boggles the checkout clerk that I can fit all the groceries for a month into 2 of these bags. I got my bags by accident actually. I was working at a thrift store and they came i as a donation. I bought 4 of them and wouldn't trade them for anything. I have some of the conventionally sized green bags but I keep them for things like going to the library. These big bags are my go to bag of choice. Since getting them, we have not used a single plastic bag and I love it. Using the bags has become so second nature to me that if I forget a bag when I am going to the store I either go back and get it or only buy what I can carry. I hate plastic. I will use paper in an emergency but we keep a stash of our green bags in our car, so I always have them when I go out. DO NOT wash these in a washer. I made that mistake. I broke a bottle of maple syrup in one and was trying to clean it. I threw it in the washer and the handles got tangled up in the spin cycle and ripped my bag to shreds. I have two of these bags and just returned to purchase more. I bought these bags over two years ago. We use our bags for EVERYTHING. They are very large and very durable. I have a family of five (all boys) and can do two weeks worth of shopping with just these two bags. We also use them for camping each summer. I am delighted to be ordering two more of these bags grocery cart bags. In my experience, it is the only sack the baggers at the grocery do not resent using. I open two at a time and usually it is enough for my entire shopping trip. The baggers seem to make more intelligent packing decisions when not inconvenienced by trying to hold a smaller, environmentally friendly sack open. I simply love them. I love my grocery cart bags! They clip easily onto the sides of the cart, are spacious, and I bought 3 so I could separate items like produce, meats, and canned goods and liquids. I love not having a ton of bags laying around anymore and feel better about not being wasteful. And I dont only use them for grocery carts, I use them in EVERY store, like Target, Walmart, Home Depot, etc, etc. These bags are so awesome. They are extremely durable and fold up into a neat little pouch when I put them away. People always stop to ask me where i got them and to say "Wow, that is such a great idea!" I recommend them to everyone who askes. I even get a "canvas bag refund" from my store for not using their bags. They are well worth the purchase and I really wish I would have gotten them sooner. They have great hooks to attatch to the cart so that the bags stay open while shopping. I figured out that one full bag is enough food for my husband and I for almost two weeks. When full, I am able to put the bag on my shoulder and carry it out to the car and then up to the home, but if full, I can't walk home with it--too heavy. Then, when empty, they majically fold up into little squares with velcro closings for easy storage in the car or closet. I have even had some accidents with leaky items, and the bags clean up very easily. For their durability and use, the price is a steal!! I love them so much, I bought them for every family member this Christmas. Instead of wrapping them, I hung them by the chimney with care (after putting stick-on letters for names) and stuffed the side pockets with mini stocking stuffers and candy canes! I have the ones the grocery store sells, straight with the handles that are a bit plastic like, but these expandable cart bags are much more versatile and useful while shopping! My experience is that 2 will fit in a cart and usually hold all the groceries for our family of four. I love my bags. I ordered four, but can only use two at a time, because only two will fit in the cart if you hang them on the sides. Every time I use them I get a comment from someone. People want to know either where I got them or compliment me on using them. The people scanning the groceries love them because it makes their job a lot easier. Very durable feel to the bags - they fold up nice & small too so they don't take up too much space in my trunk when not in use. I found that 2 bags covers an entire grocery cart. The plastic clips make loading the cart a breeze. You can really load 'em up too - way more weight than I'd like to carry into the house from the driveway. The velcro closure is a great touch - keeps things IN the bag on the drive home. Flat bottom too - the bags don't even tip over in the car. Plus, no more kitchen cabinet full of plastic bags. OK, I'm somewhat disabled and dread having to drag in back n forth endless plastic bags of groceries. This super-sized bag is a godsend. I clip it to the railings of my drive-cart and fill it up with a month's supply of groceries. It holds a lot not quite a month so I bought another which makes life even easier as I can unload at the counter from one and hand over the other to the packer. One for produce and frozen food the other for dry goods. They take some rough treatment from me and hold up fine. I can drop them from the high driver's seat of my van onto the pavement with goods all intact and bag unharmed. Velcro flap keeps it secured. By Linda C

I've been using these nearly a year, twice a week, for the family shopping. They do carry quite a bit, although I've discovered that just three 32oz. juice bottles are too dense a burden to carry and can cause the straps to begin to pull out. I also had to mend a seam after bringing home a load of school supplies, spiral notebooks, paints, markers, etc., half the total weight they can carry but sharp corners seemed too much for it. I've been very pleased overall with their performance and feel that with a little tlc and sewing knowledge, they will last quite a while. With the clips, they don't fit across the deeper narrower carts we have here in the midwest, but most cashiers are pleased to load them if you hold them open for them up on top of the plastic bag carousel. I'm the kind of person who likes to fill bags up pretty full so I make less trips, but one small caveat is these bags can hold enough to get kind of heavy. These are FANTASTIC. I can't even begin to calculate the # of plastic bags I have NOT had to get at stores. They are durable and easy to carry even when completely loaded. I can even carry a full in one hand and my 1 year old in my other arm. I use these everywhere the Farmer's Market, dollar Store, grocery store, Walmart. We can fill them to the top and not worry about a handle tearing or the bottom falling out, and the best part we don't have to have a section in our closet for plastic bags anymore waiting until we have enough to recycle. I love that these have clips that sit on each side of the cart. It takes only a few seconds to set up. When you take them off the cart, you just grab the nylon handles and pull up. Two fit in a regular grocery cart (even Trader Joe's). Everyone wants to talk to you about these bags so you will make some friends! It is also nice when transferring the groceries to the car;lift one, then two and you're off-vs. several load-ins of the plastics. We have a family of 4 so you know they are getting a work out! Great bags but a little awkward for me at first because my grocery store doesn't have transfer carts at the checkout. The checkers want someone to hold the bags open for loading while I'm still busy unloading my cart onto the conveyor. Once I got the rhythm down (buy less or take DH with me to shop!) they work nicely and the bags hold lots more than those nasty plastic bags! These are great! I recommend getting two and you can fit both in one buggy. The only hassle I have found is during checkout when you have to unload quickly and then explain the "bagging" process as I also have a different bag for frozen items. It is worth it though. Unloading when you get home is a breeze! My grandmother just called me and left me a message about how she took them on her Model-T tour (car tour) and used them for everything! I purchased 8 of these Pack-N-Tote cart helpers as a Christmas gift to myself, and for my sister (4 a piece) and I have been using them so much. I wanted to wait to write a review after they had been broken in a bit. And let me tell you, I LOVE them. They have been so durable and have lasted through carrying the heavy loads. I pack those suckers down, heavy canned goods and 3 gallons of milk are no match for these bags! Im very satisfied with these. My sister recently used them for the first time, and she was very impressed with them. She had to call me to tell me how much she liked them. I always get compliments on how wonderful they are. I must admit though, when I first got the bags in a few of them came in and the stitching had come undone. I contacted the company the same day, and they said to send them back in and they would replace them. Within 2 weeks I had sent my damaged bags in and recieved two others in great shape! Even with that little issue, Im completely 100% satisfied with these! These bags are wonderful! The value's fine, appearance is fine, use is fine. The only negative comment I have is on the construction: I bought these bags to replace some that I've worn out. The older bags(the blue ones that were not available at the time of my purchase) have hard plastic handles that are easier to manage than the nylon, woven handles on the green bags I bought. It's a small issue, but that's what I've found as I have been using one of each as I shop lately. Thanks for your work in this cause. Maybe if people realized that those plastic bags come from petroleum, and thus hit their pockets at the gas pump as well as filling landfills for God-knows-how-long, maybe people would wake up. One major complaint: on each of the two bags I owned, one of the plastic clips (used to attach to the side of the shopping cart) broke, severely diminishing the bag's utility. My husband loves these bags. They are the right size for when we do our bulk shopping because they fit the larger boxes and bags so nicely. He likes that they hold so much so he can get it all in one or two trips instead of many. They also keep their shape pretty well. These bags are wonderful! Usually, I get hasty looks from the bagger and cashier when I hand over my 'collection' of canvas bags. Today, they were admiring my new bags and they were happy to use them. I kept them folded while I did my shopping and then opened them and fastened them to the empty cart when it was time to checkout. We clicked them across from side to side- I was amazed at how big they opened up. My purchases fit so great with the heavy cartons of soymilk on the bottom and the bread right on top! And thenout to the car, I sealed down the flap so nothing fell out and it was great to only have two bags to bring in. When finished putting away the groceries, they fold up small to keep in the car. I put off grocery shopping for a day just to use these bags and I'm glad I did. Took the bags to the store & got them in the cart (took a lttle doing the first time ~ you have to overlap the hooks). I just went on my way filling all 3 bags. I like to go the the self checkout so I can checkout at my own pace & the bags made it a cinch. Checked out 1 bag, put everything where the plastic bags sit and when finished popped everything back into the bag. Then on to the next bag. I was finished checkout quickly and easily. Then I just rolled the cart to the car and put the bags in the back and home! A weeks worth of groceries fit into 3 bags and they never left the cart til I got them to the car. I usually use 6 to 10 plastic bags so 2 trips to the house made me very happy. And they don't weigh a ton when filled ~ I guess it's the way they're designed. Then recently, I saw an Oprah show, where she said "paper or plastic? Neither!" I made it one of my New Year's resolutions to never use another disposable bag. These bags make it easy. However, I find that the "big box" stores have the greatest difficulty and reluctance in using the bags. Stores who normally have plastic bags on a turntable, are not as accessible as the stores that have bags at the end of the cashier's conveyor belt. I would not shop without these incredible bags. They are sturdy and very durable. What makes them most convenient is that they grip the sides of the shopping cart to stay open, so they are incredibly easy to fill. They have a folding flat bottom so the groceries stay upright when the bag is lifted. I have gotten so many positive comments from fellow shoppers, but mostly from cashiers and baggers, regarding how eco-friendly and convenient they are. When not in use, they fold up tiny to fit in the back of my car, without taking up any room, but they easily contain at least four "blue bags" worth of groceries each. The handles are soft and wide making them easy to carry without digging into your hands like plastic does. Several of the supermarkets in my area are now offering discounts to shoppers who bring their own bags. She says it's fantabulous... the hooks clip to your cart, opening the bag wide enough to hold everything. I finally had the opprotunity to purchase this product and I am glad I did. I can carry two of the totes and have the mass majority of my groceries ready to go. I save on my loading and unloading of my truck and the same for taking them in the house. Because of the rigid bracing for the hooks on the tote, it makes it hard to put two totes on one cart (because of the modeled "hooks"). But that doesn't stop me from using both. Once I check out, I fill up the other bag with what won't fit in the first, put them in my cart and away I go! I love the convience on them, how compact them are with the velcro system and handles to carry them. I have only had them a few weeks, and I have already gotten alot of positive feedback from them. I do love the bags and they do carry a lot, but on my second use, the handle to one of the bags broke and all of my groceries fell to the ground. One of my bags arrived aleady damaged; the snap closure was torn out of the bag. This is my favorite shopping bag. My other shopping bags and purse fit inside, making remembering my shopping gear easy. I love the cart clips; however, when clipping onto a plastic cart you can only fit it in the middle of the cart which also means you can only fit one Pack N Tote per cart (the cart sides are angled and the bag requires straight sides to slide the bag to the end of the cart). I grab this bag for a lot of things, including car trips (snacks) and the beach. Wasn't thrilled with the material, but it appears to be holding up ok. By R L M

I absolutely love these bags! I wanted bags without logos that were reasonably inexpensive and held a lot without crushing the contents. These are it! They open wide when snapped on the cart, hold an incredible amount of groceries yet nothing ever falls out or gets crushed and they are reasonably easy to handle. I have four of them that fold up nicely into a handled box I stash in my car so they are always available when I need them. I decided to try and avoid using plastic (and paper) bags as a small step in reducing my families environmental impact I decided to invest in some shopping bags. I didn't want bags that carried logos or slogans on them and I needed bags that can hold a large amount of groceries. The "Pack-N-Tote" bags looked like they fit the bill perfectly. The bags are big and well made. I brought four of them and I typically use two bags for my main shop and one each at smaller specialty stores for the remainder of my groceries. I shop for four people and a typical load will include several half gallons of milk, bags of flour, bags of potatoes, a few pounds of onions, a chicken, etc. A single bag can hold plenty. At the check out the baggers are normally impressed with the bags, especially with the way they can be hooked open over the shopping cart for easy loading. Though I haven't won yet I am hoping to get my $25 "own-bag" gift certificate from Trader Joe's. That will pay for the bags if when I win. These bags are fantastic! It makes grocery shopping so much easier. I just hook the bags on my cart, zip around the store putting cold items in one bag and pantry staples in the other, check out is a breeze and instead of grabbing 8 plastic bags from my cart or pushing the entire cart out to the parking lot, I just grab my two bags and away I go. I have yet to go grocery shopping since having them and not be complimented on them, people are constantly asking me where I got them. The only downside - one bag came with a small hole in it and the snap closure fell off on my first use, but it hasn't hindered their functionality - I still consider them an extremely good buy. We love these bags. They are extremely sturdy and can hold a large amount of groceries. The grips that hold onto the cart sides work wonderfully. One drawback is that because of how they close soft items, like breads, can get crushed. However, we use the Chico nylon bags for those items. I like the outside pocket for lists and coupons and they fold up quickly to put back in the car. These are great. These are wonderful bags. They do what they are supposed to, and I am very pleased. I have been using them now for 3 months and still love them. Using these bags does require some planning though. First, I have to remember to bring them. At first I forgot many times but now it is routine. To make things go smoothly at the grocery check out I do the following. First, I get the bags out, unsnap them, and give them to the bagger as soon as possible (before (s)he starts with the plastic bags)!! I have to show the bagger how to use them but putting the first one in the cart. Then, I make sure to unload my cart onto the belt in the order of how they should go into the bag. Heavy, large, boxy stuff goes out first, with bread, produce, etc. last. That way the bagger does a better job. I learned this the hard way. Baggers are used to plastic bags that you just throw thing s into in any order. When I do it right like I described, I get good results. Cashiers and baggers are usually very impressed. AND baggers say once I show them they like these bags because they are easier to pack. And by now some of the baggers know me and no longer need instructions! Overall these bags are great, but you have to be willing to teach the baggers... Also, they are too small for those mega-wide carts that some stores have. I finally was able to tell the store clerk " No Thank you for the use of their plastic bags". The tote fits perfectly acrossed the cart. It's so easy to load and unload. What normally would take 6 or 8 plastic bags fit in one tote. You just push your cart to the car and pick up the tote by the great handles and put the whole thing in your trunk. This bag is awesome!! It is easy to fill at the store by attaching it to the cart- my kids love the "job" of bagging things up. The velcro latch keeps everything in the bag very well- unlike the slouchy plastic store bags that spill all over the car. The key to using them (for me) is to keep them stored in my car, so that I always have them handy for bigger shopping trips or last minute errands. I love the Pack-N-Tote - Grocery Cart Helper Bags. I can easily fit two of them in a shopping cart, place my items in them, and place them back in the bags after I pay. It is convenient to be able to just pull the handles of the bags from the cart and put into my car. So far they have been durable and are easier to carry if I make sure to distribute the weight between the two bags. It is wonderful to be able to fold them and velcro them in place when not in use. I get many compliments from other shoppers, cashiers, and baggers. People are constantly asking me where I got the bags. The cost of the bags are very reasonable and definately worth the less overall cost to the environment by wasting plastic bags. By krista b

I love these bags! They really do hold a ton and they are easy to carry, compact when folded up. What used to take 3 paper bags fits into one of these. I put groceries in the cart while I shop, then pull the bags out at the checkout counter. Keep in mind, they can be heavy depending on what you put in them and how full they are packed. I had to reassure the bagger 4 times that yes, I could carry it, and no, it wasn't too heavy! No more 5 lb grocery sacks, yay. You won't see me making 6 trips to the car to bring groceries in anymore, either! I bought 3 of these, but so far have only needed two. Money well spent. Thanks! By Randi L

These bags are great! They fold up into a neat little bundle which I can keep in the car, ready for whenever I go shopping. They have an outside pocket that holds my keys and shopping list while I am in the store. They have clips that attach to the grocery cart which make it very easy to fill them. Instead of countless little plastic bags which ooze all over the floorboard, I now have two bags with comfortable handles which sit nicely on the floorboard without the contents falling out. They are very sturdy: today, I had an 8 lb. bag of dog food, a gallon of milk, and several other things in one bag with no problem. They are very easy to move from the cart to my car, and from my car to the kitchen, and it is easy to move the contents out of the bag, because they sit square on the counter. The drawbacks: When I come to the checkout line, I have to move quickly, and get down to the bagger and clip these to the cart before he/she starts bagging. Sometimes they look at them funny, but they never complain about filling them, because they are very easy to fill. Only two of them will fit in a cart, so if you buy a lot of groceries, that could be a problem. By Vicki Z

I ordered three of the grocery bags and have had good luck with them. We were impressed by the weight they are able carry. Typically we can pack in two gallons of milk, and three cereal boxes easily. The only problem we have had is that the snap tore off one of the bags. Otherwise we have been pleased with the bags and the best part of buying the gracery bags is that we are no longer getting any plastic bags. Overall, a great product. They do what they say they do...they're good-sized and hold a lot. Grocery store personel have been very impressed with the bags when I ask them to bag my groceries in them and I have gotten several positive comments and was even asked for the website name, which I will provide. The only negative thing that happened, and I think it was a fluke, is that the snap on one of the bags came off as I was unpacking them. The bag is still usable, it's just a little less convenient. The pack-n-tote is a well made and very sturdy bag. It is compact for storage in the car but holds a huge amount. I find that its incredible capacity is a challenge to the packers at the grocery store. If I don't watch over them they try and get way too many heavy things in one bag. One day I got to the car to find they had put in one bag, 1 gallon of milk, 2 six pack of sodas and a lot of smaller products. Overall the bags are effective. The clerks love them - less work for them filling multiple plastic bags. Only problem I had with the Pack-N-Tote Grocery Cart Helper Bags was in Walmart. Their larger shopping carts are a little deeper than regular shopping carts, somewhat narrowing the effectiveness of the bags by just a little. Also the max of bags per shopping cart is two. I bought 2 of these bags and have been using them regularly. Here is what I think: I love the concept. They fit well, hold a lot, are strong, fold up nicely, and don't fall over and spill groceries out as you may think a tall bag might. What is kind of strange about this concept is that the grocery store sacker has to wait for you to unload all your groceries and push the cart through to begin sacking your food. This is always a challenge for me because I have 3 kids and we take a while getting things out of the cart. Many times the sacker has had to take things out of a paper bag because he got to work before we had time to push the cart through. Oh, and the snap that allows the bag to be folded up small already came apart. I like them but realize they aren't versatile for things like farmers markets or regular non-grocery shopping because of their plastic parts. By Rosemary D

The cart helpers are great. When I shop at a store where you have to supply your own bag or purchase their bags. As the cashier scans my purchases, she puts items in the cart helper and all I have to do is take the cart helper to my car. I don't have to mess around bagging the groceries because cashier has done it for me. I normally don't get excited over anything to do with the grocery store ... but these bags are AWESOME!!! I bought them because I wanted to make a more environmentally responsible choice, but I got so much more. They make shopping so much easier. The hooks really hold well over the edges of the cart. I fit two bags in one cart. It was super easy to sort my items as I shopped. The baggers at the market love them because they are easy to fill. But the biggest plus has to be the last time I shopped without my Cart Helpers I came home with 14 plastic bags. It took me three bumbling trips to the car and help from my husband to unload. With my Cart Helpers and the same amount of items I came home with TWO BAGS! I was shocked to find that they weren't overstuffed or too heavy. I carried them both one trip by myself. Each bag holds alot of groceries and it makes it really easy to carry into my house without multiple trips to my car. The flat bottom of the bag keeps it from shifting in the car when I travel with groceries in them. They fold flat and I keep them in the trunk and they don't take up any room. I recently purchased 4 of your grocery store pack-n-tote bags and really love them. You thought of everything with these bags. They are much better than the plain canvas bags I've used before. Being able to hook them to the sides of the grocery cart makes them so easy to pack with purchases and then just slip the brackets off and close the top with the velcro fastener. Nothing falls out and rolls around in the trunk of the car. The clerks and baggers at the Publix I shop at just love them and usually call other baggers over to take a look. I suggested to the manager that they buy a supply, have the Publix logo put on them and sell them to customers. Prior to moving to Florida I lived in Shawnee, Kansas and the grocery stores there encouraged their customers to buy their canvas bags for reuse; rather than rely on plastic or paper bags. They would even give shoppers a rebate of 5 cents for each bag that was brought back for reuse. Florida definitely isn't as enlightened as most of the country is regarding this issue. And yet, they wonder why the landfills are almost full. Go figure. Thanks for doing such a good job. I must add that my order arrived in less than a week. By Beth A

Received my order on Thursday and went grocery shopping with them on Saturday. The bags have a very nice feel to them, and they do indeed stretch wide enough to hook onto the sides of a grocery cart. The cart I used accommodated two Pack-N-Totes. The person packing my groceries liked the convenience of bags that open wide - Made his job easier. One of the bags got wet when I placed it on a wet spot on my counter, but it dried quickly and showed no sign of ever having been wet. One small negative thing - The plastic handles started to really bend at about 20 pounds - Only half the limit stated in the copy. I think the bags can easily accommodate 40 pounds, but the handles probably need a little reinforcing. That said, I liked the bags well enough that I will be ordering more. Great product!View All
