Design & Functionality
Nalgene HDPE 32 oz reusable bottles are really lightweight, economical and virtually unbreakable. The standard 63mm loop-top cap protects contents from dirt and other contaminants. Permanent graduations on the bottle allow for easy measuring and mixing of powdered foods and drinks. Works with most major water purifiers and filters. Plus, you can freeze these bottles unlike metal bottles (allow room for expansion).

Use a humangear capCAP to add a narrow spout to your wide-mouth bottle for easy drinking.

Sustainability
Nalgene bottles are reusable and 100% recyclable. Single-use, disposable water bottles (PET plastic) create millions of tons of unnecessary waste each year. According to the Container Recycling Institute, less than 15% of plastic water bottles in the U.S. are actually recycled. Using Nalgene reusable bottles help preserve natural resources while saving you money in the process.

Materials
Along with polypropylene (#5), HDPE (#2) and LDPE (#4) are safe, non-leaching plastics. HDPE is a sturdy and reliable translucent plastic. Nalgene bottles made from HDPE resist UV penetration, which can damage and discolor the plastic. LDPE (#4) is flexible, impact-resistant and microwave-proof. Both plastics are dishwasher safe and able to withstand temperatures from -148 to 176° F (-100 to 80° C).

My husband wanted to try this because it is made in the USA (we ALWAYS buy USA-made when possible),it is recyclable and BPA-free. He loves it as it is also durable, well made, just the right size, and can use both a splash guard and/or a sport cap. What's not to like? 5 stars.

Bought 6 of these great bottles to see what would happen. Fill 'em up at night and put them in the fridge. At least 4 bottles are drank every day by my two kids (rather than soda, juice etc) and I find myself drinking a liter or so more than I would have than just out of the tap. Great product, perfect size.

This is a great size bottle. I like knowing that if I drink just two of them a day I have met my daily suggested water intake. It is a very light bottle and even though it has a larger capacity than my old bottle, it fits perfectly under the water and ice spouts at work. It also is a lot lighter to carry which is nice. I paired it with the humangear dual lid and the built sling to create an overall wonderful bottle. I'm very happy with it.

Con: This bottle could have a better cap design. The connecting piece of plastic is flimsy and may get pinched if the bottle's dropped on it. Also, it's awkward with the lid when you're trying to drink. Wen the bottle's tilted, the lid could fall back and hit you in the face, so it must be rotated downward every time or held with the hand. It's annoying to deal with so I just cut off this plastic piece. Pros: Large. Closes well. Translucent. Liquid volume marks on the side.

I have missed my old, dangerous Nalgenes and am thrilled to have this replacement. Only complaint is that for the gym a small mouth version would be easier to drink out of while treadmilling:-) Also got 16oz ones for kids and we are all happy!

I ordered 4 Nalgene bottles to break me of the habit of using regular plastic water bottles (you know, the kind that say "DO NOT REUSE" on them). I like the fact that it's got a wide mouth which makes it easy to clean. The cap doesn't leak, and the loop makes it easy to carry around and keeps me from losing the cap. I did also purchase a couple Wide-mouth Bottle Universal SplashGuards to keep from wearing my water. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to everyone.

These are just what I wanted. OK, they are not "beautiful", but they are so handy. I can mix juices in these bottles and the odor is not absorbed by the plastic. They are great in the refrigerator and now these are the bottles the kids grab when they leave for sports, etc. And these bottles always find their way home! You can't beat the price and the attached lid is very handy.

I got this bottle with the splashguard to replace a similiar size bottle. It's easy to fill, and easy to drink from. I doesn't leave a funny taste in my mouth. However, be warned--it's big. Too big for my car's drink holder, too big for the gym equipment bottle holder. I'd recommend this for home or office use only, not for carrying anywhere with you.

When I lived in Euriope, everyone brought their own bags cause they charge for the use of plastic bags and that was 10 years ago! just wrote an email asking for another size for biobag (too small for my trashcan) Really great. We bought the Nalgene HDPE 32oz bottle to avoid BPA leeching material, and we are quite happy with this product. The size is a definite plus, if you drink one full bottle of water a day, that's half of your daily requirement...I mean 80% of Americans are dehydrated and this is one easy way of getting the water needed without the fear of harmful chemicals such as BPA. I also like the fact that the oz. lettering on the bottle is colored and easy to read. (unlike most bottles that just have it stamped into the plastic)

Working well...using them for shake my son's formula up in and bringing the formula to school (100% Gtube fed). I had heard stories of the printed marking coming off in the dishwash...not happening so far. They do fit in the dishwasher and wash up nice. The RN's love them and can pour nicely from them...I do have some trouble pouring from them without spilling (the rim is wide than I am used to). We are not heating the formula because of the plastic..the MD's do recommend the formula to be warm when serving...but room temp is working.

I bought this bottle after all of the news stories about the leaching chemical in plastic. This bottle allegedly does not have that chemical, which is the biggest benefit. While this bottle is sturdy and does not leak, I don't like the top. It is attached with a piece of plastic that does not move, so you have to open the bottle and use it only at a certain angle so the cap doesn't bang you in the face. My old bottle, which was apparently leaking toxins into my body, probably causing my early death, had a plastic piece that moved with the cap, so that gravity pulled it away from you when you drank. So, it does this bottle does it's job but improvements could be made.

The is the second Nalgene bottle I've purchased in the last year. The first one was the 16oz for me and this was the 32oz for my husband. The quality is unsurpassed. These bottles are very durable and very easy to clean with a bottle brush. And the best part is that your water actually tastes like...water!!! No chemical taste! I highly recommend this product.

I am a bit disappointed in this. I have a camelbak hardshell "sippy cup" like bottle but it is made of #7 polycarbonate material. I decided to try this one because it is supposed to be safer to drink. Unfortunately, I can taste the plastic, especially if the water has been sitting in it for a while. Also, even though I can replace the camelbak top on it, for some unknown reason, I cannot make an airtight seal and I have some leakage from it.

Great bottle for my husband! He always takes it to work and leaves it in the car, in the office, in the truck, and who knows where? It's been dropped, banged around, and even back over by the truck. This bottle stands up to it all! I take comfort in knowing that even though it's in cold and heat throughout the day it's still safe to drink out of.

We ordered two. I probably use this bottle every day. I love the wide-mouth! My only skepticism is that I do sometimes smell the plastic and that still makes me wonder if it's ok. But I don't taste it in the water. Also, in the description where it says to wash it in the top rack of your dishwasher, that is not a joke! I melted one of the tops the first wash. =( Otherwise, I would say this product serves it's purpose!

I'm pretty happy with my Nalgene bottle; I have 2 issues though - first, it sometimes smells moldy (to the point of not wanting to drink the water), I'm not sure why (the first time was only after using it about 3 days without washing, maybe it's just me but I thought it was reasonable to go a few days without washing), and second, the wide mouth can be a pain to use at the gym (that's really more of a warning that you should simply consider how you're going to use it when purchasing), but since I bought it to be more eco-friendly and because I understand it to be made of safe plastic, overall I'm satisfied.

These bottles have a wide mouth that refills from the tap easily. I just put a full bottle into the fridge and let it cool. I would not drink directly from these containers - use a glass to prevent your germs from contanimating the water. Also, these bottles do have a distinctive smell to them. I washed them with hot water, detergent and bleach to try to get it minimized. It is too bad no one seems to make a truly odor free plastic container for water. Overall these are very good compared to refilling the water bottles from the stores.
