Design & Functionality
Each jar comes with 10 fragrance sticks. Just remove the cap from your Nellie’s PVC-Free Dryerball casing, using a coin, then insert the fragrance stick and secure the cap. When you toss the dryerballs into your dryer, the heat will emit a natural sent. Use a new stick about 10-15 loads to keep your clothes laundry smelling fresh!

100% pure soy wax, essential oils & paper board. Never tested on animals.

2.0 Scent is really strong

I use perfume and dye-free detergent, and was missing the subtly "clean" scent chemically detergent would leave (but wasn't missing the chemicals). I got the "Linen" scent natural oils to go in Nellie's dryer balls, and was super excited, but the scent is VERY VERY strong. Way too much for me. Not sure if the other scents are better...

I like the scent, but some of my clothes had remnants of the sticks on them. Little white dots. Still trying to decide if I like them. I use them with the Dryer Balls, but my clothes have a lot of static electricity.

I LOVE being able to have frangrance while keeping my laundering all natural! They smell fantastic and don't need to be replaced too often. I like to rotate the scents I use throughout the year- they should really make a multi pack or starter kit so you can use them all or smell all of them and decide what you like best- but I think they're terrific!

I switched to a chemical free laundry a few months ago and I will never go back. I use the dryer balls and the Nellie's fragrance sticks. I like the smell Simply Fresh sticks better than any fabric softener. It's a great smell for men and women, sort of like eucalyptus.

I like the dryer balls enough to keep using them. These sticks, while they smell good in the jar, make no noticeable difference in the smell of my clothes that I can tell. I find them to be a waste of money.

4.0 like the idea, just not the smell

I wasn't able to find an answer on whether I should put one stick in each ball or only use one stick period (and just leave the other ball empty) so I have a stick in each ball and it's a little overkill. I'll be removing the other stick for my next load of laundry. I love the idea of being able to have scented laundry again, however this particular smell ("simply fresh") doesn't seem to agree with my nose very well. I have been sneezing like crazy when I get my laundry out of the dryer, which I never had that problem before. I had been having a hard time deciding between "simply fresh" and "linen" or "citrus" so I may have just made a bad choice. Hopefully taking one stick out will solve the problem. Overall though, I like the idea and the product.

These sticks last a long time once inserted into the Nellie's Dryer Balls. I'm still on my first one after ten or twelve loads, and it looks like it has hardly reduced in size at all. Frankly, they smell very strong and not very pleasant in the jar, but the heat of the dryer must work the magic, because the clothes come out with just a nice light and fresh fragrance, not a cloying smell like so many dryer sheets impart. I will buy again, if they every wear out!

I haven't purchased dryer sheets in two years thanks to these. I don't really mind that my clothes don't smell like anything, but I use the scent sticks for my husband and son's clothes.
