Design & Functionality
Designed to replace dryer sheets, Dryerballs lift and separate clothes, moving air efficiently through the dryer which reduces drying time by 15-25%. Because clothes do not get tangled together, 10 minutes on medium heat will also help eliminate wrinkles and lint buildup on your clothes. They're also safer because fabric softeners leave an oil coating on clothes, take the fire-retardant out of baby's clothes, and leave a sticky residue on the dryer's components, making it more prone to fire.

Each pack contains 2 balls, which should both be put into the dryer at the same time.

I brought these probably almost two years ago now and I love them! It has saved me so much money because I don't have to buy those dryer sheets. I am on a strict budget so it helps that I can cut back on re-fill expenses. One down side is that you really have to track how much you use the dryerballs so you know when to swap out the sent sticks but they still work well without the sent.

These dryer balls (they're oblong, really) are replacements for a national brand and are working fine. They do make a bit of noise banging around on the dryer drum with lighter loads, but the others did too. I just started using them so the life time has clock is only begun.

Hoping to get away from dryer sheets, we brought these balls and the scented sticks. More static than we've ever had in our laundry! Our clothes were almost sparking. We live in the desert and everything (clothes, hair, skin) gets dry, so we definitely need a product that takes away static. We went back to Target dryer sheets, which immediately took care of the static problem. I'm tempted to try the eco-sheets along with the balls, but the reviews on those are also mixed. Any thoughts?

These work better than major brand dryer sheets. They make quite a bit of noise in the dryer, so keep that in mind if your laundry room is near a living area. Also be careful not to let them drop on the floor if you have dogs; especially if one of your dogs likes to grab fetch balls and run off with them.

I was very disappointed with the PVC-Free Dryerballs. My laundry has had more static than previously. My dughter-in-law has some older version balls from Reusit that work beautifully without products like Bounce.

I wanted to give dryer balls a try and Nellie's was the first brand I bought. They worked well but the little nubs started falling off after a while. That wouldn't have been a big issue, but I now have a baby in the house and I didn't want him to pick up the pieces and eat them by accident. I have since switched to wool dryer balls.

I just got these and used them with the static eliminator dryer sheets, and I couldn't be happier. I used both balls but only a single fragrance stick (linen), and my clothes smell faintly pleasant, are wrinkle-free, and there was no more static than if I'd used a regular Bounce sheet.

These make your clothes so soft and no static! Without the use of fabric softener your clothes don't have that residue either so the colors stay bright. We love these and it really does cut down on drying time! I'll never use fabric softener or dryer sheets again :)

I ordered Nellie's PVC Free dryer balls to shorten drying time, lessen wrinkles in clothes, reduce static and lint. I feel they have lived up to all of the above. My clothes was indeed soft and ready to wear. I do laundry at a laundromat, so anything I can do to save money, energy & lessen the amount of products used in the laundry process is welcome. I didn't feel they made a very loud noise when bouncing around in dryer. I always dry in high heat (bad habit) and they came out intact. I have used them twice so far. We'll see how long they last. They did not damage any clothing so far. I did not try them with satins or silk yet but jeans, pants, t-shirts, blouses & towels seemed fine.

I've haven't had a product that was as effective and eco-friendly as this one. My clothes are so wonderfully soft, softer than dryer sheets alone. When used together with the scent sticks and the static eliminator sheets, wonderful fresh smelling laundry happens. I love these PVC-free dryer balls. It allows us to get rid of dryer balls and not worry about the blue dryer balls with the PVC that is a problem when they get heated. It's also wonderful that you can put fragrance sticks inside if you like a certain scent. Clever product!

These dryer balls reduce drying time and make my clothing soft. I missed the fresh-laundry scent and used the linen-scented sticks which lightly scent my clothing. I found the first few times I placed in the sticks, I had to turn the dial hard until it "clicked" otherwise it would open up. For my work clothing, I use the reusable dryer sheets. No static at all. Totally worth the costs.

These do their job, and the laundry was gently scented but not too intense when I put a fragrance stick in just one ball per load. However, they frequently hit my dryer door so hard that the door opens, and the dryer turns off. I've gotten tired of going to fold laundry and discovering that it's still wet...

I do really like these. I had dryer balls already, but my husband missed the scent of regular dryer sheets and I thought the added scent might be nice. It's definitely a very faint scent, but I think the dyer balls themselves work a lot better than the last ones I had anyways.

I've seen (and used) other dryer balls- none as nice as these. they don't make as much noise as other brands and the opening that allows you to use a frangrance stick is wonderful! since giving up the standard dryer sheet I hadn't found anything natural with a pleasing fragrance. I use the lavendar in the spring and summer and vanilla in the fall and winter. They use a coin to open and have never once come open in the dryer. I love them!

We love using these instead of dryer sheets. One less thing to have to remember to throw in or buy at the store. We just leave them in the dryer when we take out the clothes. Only tough part is when they come back upstairs hiding in a shirt sleeve or sock - or when my 2 year old finds them and tries to juggle them or hides them and we forget to find them all to bring down with the next load.

I purchased these primarily to reduce drying time, which unfortunately did not occur. I do like that they don't emit toxins and the fragrance sticks make my laundry smell great--but the bottom line for me was to help save energy and they don't help me in that department. Perhaps if they were larger, they would separate the clothes more efficiently. I couldn't justify making this purchase again unless I was trying to move away from dryer. Sorry to give these such a poor review, I really wanted them to work!

Drier balls truely reduce dryer time. I've found that I can dry my laundry at a lower temp and in a faster amt of time using drier balls. These ones also greatly reduse wrinkles.

This product works well as far as fluffing up the clothes is concerned; however, I had problems with it. First, I purchased the inserts which give a scent to the product - one of the reasons I was using dryer sheets - but the pink balls I purchased at the same time did not take the inserts. I purchased the green dryer balls, which do take the inserts; however, they open and dump out the inserts. I've lost one of the covers - must be somewhere in my clothes or (worse) within the dryer somewhere. So, the concept is wonderful but the execution leaves something to be desired.

I like them as I feel I'm doing something for my environment and I do notice that my clothes feel "fluffier" when I get them out of the dryer, but they do no better, nor no worse, than past methods of liquid softener or dryer sheets. And, I don't dry my clothes as I'm going to bed as they make a great deal of noise bouncing around my dryer. But, I definitely will continue to use them because they do work and they help me in my quest to reduce my impact on our earth.

I don't know if these balls do as they say and reduce drying time or reduce static cling or anything. I bought the balls to replace my "as seen on TV" blue dryer balls for two reasons. 1) The ability to put the scent sticks in seemed like a good idea. 2) I'd had the blue ones for about 3 or 4 years, and I'd heard that those balls were usually only good for 2. I haven't used dryer sheets in probably 3 or 4 years so I can't really compare softness or anything like that. But I love the ability to put the scent sticks in so my laundry has a 'clean smell' again.

I had to order more dryer balls to replace the ones I bought last year. After so much use, I noticed my clothes had more static than usual. I wash about 5 loads of clothes a week, so I think I definitely got my money out of them. Plus these ones have a spot in the middle where you can put a fragrance stick. Genius!

Bought the dryer balls along with the laundry ball and I have to say that I absolutely love them! I was worried that without the use of fabric softener our clothes would be a a bit staticky... but not at all!! I have a couple sets of these and they are excellent at cutting down drying time and keeping static to a minimum. To be honest they don't completely get rid of static but my clothing isn't coated with chemicals and I'm cutting down on waste and pollution! I highly recommend having a least 4 of these. I definitely use 4 at a time while drying towels, sheets and blankets!

I love this product! Drying time is reduced, and items such as towels seem to come out fluffier. I have not had much issue with static. You can hear some thumping as they bounce around in the dryer, but it is not very loud. These are so much better to use than the chemical-coated dryer sheets I used to use.

I like these things, yes they are a little loud bumping around in the dryer, but who sits in the laundry room while the dryer is running. I have noticed with winter and colder, dryer air, that there is an increase in static, but what the heck, it reminds me of the good old days when i helped my mother fold clothes fresh out of the dryer. I have never heard of any one being killed by static from clothes. My clothes are very soft and do seem to dry much quicker with the dryer-balls. For those who are eco-concerned, this is a great product. An added bonus is my cats no longer have used dryer sheets to find and try and eat, (not a pretty sight). in all they work fine they are eco-friendly and should be cost effective.!

The dryer balls work pretty well at keeping clothes less wrinkled, and they do seem to dry in a shorter time than without the balls, maybe cutting out 15-20 minutes of drying time. I also noticed less static in the clothes. They are a bit noisy in the dryer, but that's certainly tolerable. I do like that they eliminate the need for dryer sheets and the trash that results from them. I plan to buy some for gifts at Christmas, I like them so well.

I have to say I am very disappointed with the dryer balls. I used them (with the lavendar sticks) to dry my towels and bath rugs, and while I can't say anything about wrinkling since I haven't tried it with clothes yet, they did NOTHING to help with static cling. When I pulled the towels out, I got shocked several times. In addition, the balls should not be used when drying bath rugs because they shredded the rubber matting under said rugs, and helped to break apart the edges of the rugs as well. I'm not prepared to give them 1 star because I want to see how they work with my clothes, but the lavendar sticks did nothing to leave a nice scent on the towels; quite the contrary it seems.

I have had no issues with Nellie's dryerballs. My clothes are soft and do seem to take less time to dry, and believe or not, have less wrinkles. Wrinkles, yes, but less. Especially in 100% cotton. I don't find them too terribly noisy. I can hear them, but they're not too loud and are definitely not distracting or annoying. I think I'll give them as a gift for Christmas this year! I have not tried the scent sticks yet... I'll let you know when I do!

These are great! The PVC Free Dryer Balls really fluff up my laundry and cut drying time in my dryer by 15min and with the Lavender scented sticks that go inside it smells good too. I have been looking for dryer balls but all of them say they are Organic & safe for the environment but they have PVC's. How is that safe for the environment? The dryer balls are not made to remove static so try white vinegar. It works like fabric softener in your wash but instead of adding a coating on your laundry it helps remove the detergent in your load, excess detergent traped in clothes causes static in the dryer. Vinegar is safer for the environment than thoes brand name fabric softeners & cheaper too.

Good product that does the job. I tested it on a load of new denim jeans and the jeans came out soft. Giving it 4 stars because it is a little noisy in the dryer -- like having sneakers in the dryer -- thump thump. Level of noise depends on size of load: larger load, less noise. Since I have a separate laundry room, the noise is not a factor for me, but might be in a small apartment, etc.

The dryer balls seem to help with getting wrinkles out. They seem noisy at first but if they getted into the clothes it eliminates the noise. Occasionally though they break free and create noise again. Still it eliminates laundry softener and dryer sheets so they are worth it.

They do work. Clothes that used to have to be run twice to dry are now dry in less than one cycle! I would say they are a little "fluffier." I've read other reviews on other sites where people suggest you use 4 or even 6 balls before you see real "fluffy" benefits. I'll be picking of another pair soon. I like them well enough just for the energy and time savings. The WARNING. Be sure to only use these for sturdy cloths and quality linens in good condition. I used these in a load of somewhat tattered linens and some fairly delicate items only to have some of the loose threads get tangled around the balls. The ball just kept pulling the thread more and more. This was my error. I should not have used them with clothing that had loose threads, but I could see these things getting hold of a loose-knit item and ruining it and other new but delicate items.

I've been using these for the past 6 months and have been pretty impressed. Our clothes are more fluffy, dry faster, and have less static than if I had used nothing at all. They are a little loud for the first 10-15 minutes of the drying cycle, but once clothes fluff up a bit, you can no longer hear them. To reduce static, I remove any synthetic fabrics before the drying cycle is complete. I do wish that they were a tad less expensive though, but they're worth the price compared to the scary chemicals in dryer sheets.

I just bought these a few weeks ago, and I love them. I am very excited that I will not have to buy and then promptly throw away dryer sheets ever again. I bought 2 sets and use 3 with each load (because they can become trapped in pant legs, etc.) and the 4th one will be my replacement in case one gets lost. My main concern was that there would be a lot of static but I haven't noticed any. They are noisy at first, but not so much that it really bothers me and my laundry room is on the 2nd floor near the bedroom. I highly recommend, avoid those chemicals and waste!
