I'm really pleased with this purchase. I have a bad back and have to carry seat/back cushions wherever I go. I'm not thrilled to be carrying these around and I've been looking for a subtle way to carry them around. This bag is the perfect shape - being wider and deeper and thinner than most bags. It's very well constructed. (I had hoped for a lighter-weight bag, since I'm sensitive to the weight of things, but appreciate how sturdily it's made.) As I said, I'm very happy with this purchase and I recommend the bag to others. I have it in the brown/tan color and it's pretty and neutral.

When they say this bag is XL, they meant it. It is a BIG bag. Roomy enough to put books in for a trip to the resale shop, or to take grocery shopping or wherever you have to pick up bulky items. The straps are sturdy and they can be clipped around different grommets for a custom carry solution. I had originally waffled between getting the smaller bag and this one and I'm glad I got this one and in this red design. Very peppy, energetic colors.

Looked long and hard to find this large bag.I use it to carry 4 or 5 pieces of heavy framed artwork to and from a meeting weekly. The construction is robust. Appearance is attractive,I have received many questions and compliments on it.I would like to see them offer an option for a shoulder strap.

YEs, it's a bit pricey - but oh, do you get what you pay for! This bag is definitely an investment, and not just a purchase.

My wife just received one of these bags for Christmas and loves it. It is HUGE and is perfect for shopping expeditions to the mall, where she can just put all her purchases in the one bag and not have to carry around a whole bunch of individual store bags. The bag would also be ideal for trips to Target, Wal-Mart or Costco, where we purchase all types of items that don't always fit into the smaller bags we have.

I like the size of the Reisenthat CityshopperXL, and particularly love the inner zip pocket. I was doubtful about the handles when I bought it, and my doubts were accurate: the handles are too thin, not comfortable in the hands or on the shoulder. A wider or more cusiony handle would be better. I don't find any benefit in the way the handle is sewn doubled at the top - it's particularly uncomfortable on the shoulder. When a bag is XL, I put a lot more in it and it can weigh a lot and I need comfy handles! ~Julia

This is a great design! The bag is HUGE, with a boxed bottom. Perfect for mall shopping, or large items. It has a pocket that will fit your wallet, phone and keys, so you don't have to hunt for them in the cavernous depths! The strap is perfect for wearing on your shoulder, keeing your hands free, even when full. My only "con" is that it is not available in plain black.

This bag is absolutely gorgeous and very well made. I bought it for my big clothes-shopping trips so that I can just throw all of my purchases into one bag and say "no, thank you" to all of the plastic bags. I have not used it yet since I am trying to save money but I can't wait for Christmas shopping!! I got tons of compliments, too, when I brought it to work. It's good for anything when you need to carry a lot, and want to look stylish doing it!

The bag is HUGE! I carry/walk my groceries about 1/2 mile to my home this is great for the big bulky but not heavy items. If I filled it with heavy items I could not pick it up! However, it has fairly comfortable straps even when filled with some weight.

I recently bought two XL Cityshoppers (Artdeco and Sand) and love them. The size is huge and fits all the stuff you could possibly need to go to the beach. I also use it to go clothes shopping so that I won't need to get a plastic bag from the store. The straps easily fit over my shoulders, but when the bag is loaded, it would be more comfortable to have the top of the straps, that sits on the shoulder padded. This is especially true in the summer when i walk around in tank tops and the handles are directly on my skin. Other than that, absolutely great product. I would recommend it to anyone. It also makes a great hostess gift and at the same time makes a statement about conservation of the environment.

The other reviews are right... this bag IS HUGE! But is great for carting home big bulky stuff that doesn't weigh much (think TP, tissues, paper napkins, boxes of cereal, crackers, etc.). And it matches my black and my red ACME Workhorse bags perfectly, so it is an awesome grocery store accessory. :o)

Like everythign Riesenthel does, this bag is sturdy, sturdy, sturdy. I love that the inside is waterproof. I use this bag for the grocery store as well as for mall shopping. Currently, I use it for work, toting all my supplies around, so I may have to have another for shopping. The handles stay comfortable to use, even with a heavy load.

I love this bag! It's huge and colorful and perfect for department store shopping. Because it's so large, it's necessary to load it with light-weight items because it could quickly become too heavy if used for heavier groceries. I sometimes have to monitor the baggers to ensure that only breads, boxes of cereal, etc go into it. Thanks for a fun product!

I love the fabric pattern! This is one huge bag and will hold loads of things when shopping and is floppy and collapsable so could be carried in a smaller bag before it's full. It feels very sturdy including the handles.

I bought this bag intending to use it for carrying partially completed quilts--and instead I ended up using it to go back and forth to the swimming pool. The straps are a great shoulder length and the small pocket on the zip pocket (probably intended for my cell phone) is PERFECT for my pool pass. I'll be buying another one for the quilts.

These bags look great, but are far too big to be useful. I can't imagine somebody actually carrying these around filled with anything, they would be too big, heavy and bulky. Perhaps as a beach bag it might work, as one reviewer had suggested... guess I should have looked closer at the dimensions.

I almost returned it because of its very grande size, but decided it would be a great bag for the Costco or Target trips or when a large bag for oversized items is needed. One improvement: I use this bag for groceries, so it would be SO nice to have a zippered/velcro pocket on the outside for keys so I don't have to push the groceries aside to get to the keys/etc. in the inside pouch. I know, I can always take them out before bagging...I just forget sometimes. A cool contrasting pattern would be neat! Susan

I bought this bag on impulse and immediately regretted it upon opening the package ( but wait, the story turns out great.....). I just don't shop all that much and I shop even less for large items.Then, we got a beautiful Spring day and I headed to the beach with my children. Voila, all that large, awkward, lightweight gear that was so hard to carry before, fit in this bag : aluminum beach chairs, pails, shovels, and bulky beach blanket. Even our beach umbrella will fit nicely in there. The material is also fantastic for all these needs. What a versatile and great bag ! ( All I need to do is fashion a cross body handle for it...you might want to consider that for the future. )

This bag is better in real life than pictures can ever convey. I ordered one in "Art Deco", and it is *beautiful*! Love the reinforced base - Makes it easier to carry things. The copy is correct - The bag is huge! The handles seem shorter than in the photos, but they're still long enough to work as shoulder straps. Love it! Love it! Love it!
