I bought this dryer 3 months ago. Was hesitant about the price but it was well worth it - it is the handiest thing ever! I am big on reduce, reuse, recycle, but getting plastic bags dry was a real annoyance. Trying to get them totally dry with a dish towel wasn't working, arranging them about the counter to dry was a mess. Now we just flip everything onto this dryer on a corner of the counter where they are out of the way and dry quickly. Success! By Susan B

I have always wanted one these but didn't want to spend the money on one because I didn't really "need" it. I would always dry my bags on wooden spoons and spatulas in my dish drying rack. However, the bags would pile up because it was annoying positioning them and then I couldn't fit very many at one time to dry that well. Then I would just throw away the bags because they were piling up. Now that I have this handy drying rack I don't let things pile up and I'm washing every bag. I love this product! I use it to dry my lunchskins. It's light wood color and modern designlook nice on the counter without standing out too much. It makes cleaning the lunchskins so much easier and they dry faster and create less of a wet mess on the counter. It's easy to close up and put away - for me on the weekends when school lunches aren't being made and I may need to use just one or two lunchkins.

I got a plastic bag dryer a few years ago, and it's been extremely functional and handy. I like it so much that I gave one to to each of my sisters for xmas this year. I reuse most plastic bags that come into the kitchen multiple times, and they dry quickly and completely. My husband is a chemist, and he says that the plasticizers that keep blooming to the surface in things like plastic bags are washed away when the bag is washed -- making it much more healthy to use as a re-used and freshly washed bag. I also like that it raises questions in guests who see it sitting on the counter and gives me the chance to mention how easy it is to wash out and reuse bags with this great little dryer. By Ettel E

I love the wooden dryer! I use to hang my plastic bags on hangers with clothes pins to dry and it would take a couple of days to get them completely dry. Now I just slip them on the dryer and within several hours to one day the item(s) are dry. Also, it is so easy to store, and simply looks nice just sitting on the cabinet. I was disappointed in a minor defect--one of the dryer arms is not inside the space where all the other are. But decided the dryer still works just fine so decided not to try to return it. I love this piece. Typically I would hang my bags over the spoons that I kept on the counter by the oven (like the spatulas and spoons used to stir etc)but our new home has limited counter space due to low ceilings, so there just wasn't room. This is one of the simplest, but best environmental inventions that I have seen. I rarely have to buy zip lock or other plastic bags any more. Just wash the used bag, put it on this bag dryer, and in a day or two the bag is dry and ready to use again. You are re-using instead of recycling, which is much better for the environment. Absolutely love this item!!!! I have 2 kids in school and extra sport activities which require 1 to 2 sport bottles per activity. By the end of the day there is sometime up to 5 sport bottles and a couple plastic bags to be washed. I find with this dryer that things just dry quicker than just setting upside down on a teatowel. My sister-in-law had one of these, and it looked pretty useful, so I looked on-line and found this site. I knew I would use the dryer - but had no idea it would be so amazing! I've been washing bags since I was a kid - my parents grew up during the depression and nothing gets wasted. After the dryer arrived, I had about five bags to wash, which I did and hung them out to dry. The sun just happened to be out, and when I came back a few hours later, they were already dry! put them away, zipped up the dryer, and the kitchen is now neat and tidy. Love, love, love this item. I also ordered the Bag-E-Wash (which I also love) but my bags don't dry in the dishwasher... so I just pop them on here and voilà ! Dry in no time. It's also a lot easier to dry my small plastic bottles so I reuse them more. If I could make one design suggestion it would be to have a way to hold the tongs shut even when it's upright so that I can just store it standing up instead of lying down.... but I would STILL buy it again in it's current design. My initial impression was that it was somewhat of a "gimic", but since it was made of wood and would look OK on the kitchen counter - I bought one. I have to say, it has performed beyond my expectations. My wife washes out a few bags after dinner almost every day and when I get up in the morning, for the most part they are dry (which was not the case when she hung them in the cellar on a clothes-line). I bought this to dry out my Green Bags after washing. It does the trick, though would be better if the dowels were a little longer for the bigger bags. Works great for drying smaller sandwich, snack or quart size baggies though. The base is removable from the top part which is fine except that I always forget this when I go to move it. 1.0 Mine arrived without a base

Mine arrived without a base. In other words, it can't stand up because it is missing the bottom piece of the stand. I'm very disappointed, especially since I gave it as a gift and had to take it back to return it. I will return it for a whole one and expect that it will be a great item. The receiver of the gift was thrilled to have it and is looking forward to being able to use the replacement. Hopefully, the return process will be quick and without issue. By Elizabeth D

I'm really glad I purchased this simple little gadget. We use a lot of ziplock-type bags and I hated tossing them after one use. Trying to dry them was a pain so we often didn't bother reusing. I got one of these bag dryers for my aunt and one for myself. They work perfectly - soap and water wash your bags (ziplock, bread or greenbags) and in a few hours they are like new. This is a great product for "green" households and for those looking to save money on storage bags. Besides being an attractive and durable product, the plastic bag and bottle dryer has made my life easier. I'm reusing more plastic bags since it's so easy to dry them on the bag dryer. Wet bags dry much faster than when we hung them over a long-handled spoon in the dish drainer. Hey, even my husband uses it! It's nice, too, that the bag dryer can be hung up if desired. We recieved the Plastic Bag and Bottle Dryer and love it. With two toddlers using bags and packing snacks are a part of everyday life. With this I can easily reuse the bags and at this point I really don't see when I would need to buy new bags. One wonderful outcome is that my kids are intune to their snack bags and know that we don't put things we can reuse into the trash, this has helped us educate our 2 and 4 year-old in small but meaningful ways to reduce waste. I highly recommend the dryer. Although a simple contraption, I could never make one by myself. It folds up compact for storage and stands sturdy when set-up. It should pay for itself quickly due to the cost of sandwich bags. And it makes me ill to think of the number of bags that I have sent to the landfill. I love the drying rack for plastic bags. Every Saturday I take a can of V-8 juice as a sports drink at the contra dance. When I finish I have to put it in a ziplock plastic bag or it bleeds all over everything in my dance bag. Now when I get home I just wash out the bag and hang it up. It not only dries much faster, but it is kept out of the way. It used to be I had these bags wandering all around the kitchen sink. Now they are under control. This gadget really works. I purchased the plastic bag and bottle dryer and love it. It is simple to use, fits easily on the counter and folders away quickly. I think adding a small catch tray to go under it would be a great addition. As for the SIGG travel classic bottles, they fill the bill for keeping liquids cold and are very convenient to carry. I recently ordered the Plastic Bag & Bottle Dryers, for a number of friends and family members as Christmas presents, and they were a huge hit! My depression-era Grandparents never threw out a plastic bag or bottle until it had been washed and reused to the point of no longer being useful. This thing is the BEST idea for getting all the bags and bottles out of my dish drainer! Frugal AND environmentally conscious gift recipients LOVED these and I'll never give mine up! I also think it's great that this folds up small enough to fit into my silverware drawer or hang inside the cabinet door when not in use. One suggestion I would make is that you include some labeling or a tag with a picture and description of the item in use, so gift recipients don't scratch their heads wondering what the heck this thing is/does! I made up my own insert from the picture and description on your website to include with my gifts, as well as your web address so they can check out your other great products. By Sheri B

I ordered two of these-one for me one for a gift. Love mine, but the one I put aside as a gift is needing some repair before I give it. The bulb type base came off from the dryer. I can see it was glues, but not adequately enough. Had I looked at both before using mine, I would have switched the two. Still like the product. The Plastic Bag and Bottle Dryer is very helpful. Before drying plastic bags was almost impossible. I have only tried drying large bags with it. They do take a while and if they are longer than the dryer is tall, then they often need to be turned inside out after the outside has been dried. It is not magic, but it is very helpful. What a clever device! If you don't have a spot on your countertop to stand it, you may be able to hang it over your sink by its eye screw, as I have done. Hanging it is also the best way to use it for drying weightier bottles, which tend to tip over a standing dryer. To store in a drawer, remove the base and collapse the rest into a shape that is 14 inches long by 3 inches in diameter at the widest end. It is so well constructed that there are no worries about putting it together and taking it apart on a daily basis for years on end. This is my second dryer. I used my first one for close to twenty years, until its stand warped from being frequently wet. The base of my recently purchased replacement is better constructed (layers of wood instead of one block) and, I think, much less likely to have warping problems. Highly recommended. By Peggy W

A logical and necessary invention, the dryer lets you easily reuse your ziplocks like a sane inhabitant of the planet. It dries the bags and positions them in a way that keeps them clean. This one works just fine, although the ring that opens and closes the "spokes" seems not to want to go all the way to the bottom. That doesn't affect how well it works though. So buy it. And use it. LOVE THIS!!!! Honestly, i didnt think we needed this after purchasing the Bag-E-Wash. Our kitchen had baggies drying everywhere, on faucets, hanging from windows,,it was hilarious, and also took forever to dry bags this way... So i caved and bought this, and LOVE IT!!! i sware, bags dry in a matter of minutes with this, the wood matches our house and doesnt look cheezy, and we just put it right under the sink in between washes. I recently purchased the plastic bag & bottle dryer and I love it. Previously, we'd just rinsed out bags and hung them over other bottles, the flashlight on the counter...whatever was around. The dryer is attractive, efficient & effective. Since the spokes keep the bag open, air can get inside and dry the bag(s) out much more quickly than just laying it over something. Strangely, I find it motivating to use b/c not only do the bags dry more quickly than my previous method, the dryer is not unsightly and therefore I know if I rinse something out, it will be dry by morning. We had a home-made bag dryer that was great - but started to get water spots. Your bag dryer has a great design - and looks good on our brand-new countertop. My only suggestion - perhaps a stain with a clear coat to shine it up a bit. There may be a good reason for not doing that - but I think at least a clear coat would add to its longevity.
