Best Bag Ever
I purchased a set of four of these bags about 5 years ago. They are still as good now as the day I bought them. Best feature is they don't collapse while bagging, but fold nicely when not in use. I use them for EVERYTHING...beach towels, books, kids toys in the car, and of course, groceries. They wash well and are the envy of other shoppers. Extra bonus is the side pocket which has been helpful in so many instances.

Love them!
I love, love, love that they stand up like a traditional paper bag. My only complaint would be that they take up a little more room in my trunk than some of the other options. Still, the structure makes it well worth it.

Best bag ever!
Okay this review is a bit late. I purchased the Earthtotes over 2 years ago, and to this day, they are still in excellent shape! I get compliments for them everywhere I shop. They are simply the best. Well made, functional, good looks. I recently lost one of my 4 bags, so I will be reordering these.

I recently purchased the Acme EarthTote.I wanted a sturdy large bag that would stand up so it would be easier for the checkers to load. The ones that I was using from the big chain discount store didn't work well.The EarthTotes are strong and hold alot of groceries,so I don't need as many bags.I will be ordering some more for my Mom and myself.

need design modification

I bought 4 of these bags a couple of years ago, and I've gotten lots of use out of them. I use them for a couple of shopping trips each week. After about a year and a half, ALL of the bags started ripping out the bottom seams. [I've resewn with sail repair thread but one has ripped further. An easy fix would be to have the front and back nylon go all the way around the bottom. The sides would have to be sewn but the bottom should hold.

Great basic shopping bag
These are my primary shopping bags. They hold a lot, are shaped like paper grocery bags, and stand up by themselves for convenience in packing. Really good bag.

good bags, but could be more durable
I bought these bags a couple of years ago, and I've gotten lots of use out of them. I use them for a couple of shopping trips each week. After about a year and a half, a couple of the bags started ripping or getting holes, so I would like to see a tougher, more durable material. I like the fact that they stand up, have a rectangular bottom like a paper bag, and are easy to pack. They are so large, though, that I do need to tell the baggers not to pack them full of heavy items, or they're too heavy to lift- and I think the weight will shorten their life. Overall, they've been so useful that I'm considering buying a couple more to replace the ripped ones- unless I find comparable bags with a stronger fabric. By the way, I bought hemp bags with dual handles at the same time, and they have not had a single tear, and are more versatile.

Really Intelligent Design
I bought a couple of these bags two years ago and recently ordered two more. I've seen other re-usable bags, esp. those sold in the grocery stores, and I much prefer these. I like the fact that they are paper bag sized and shaped, so you know from experience what the carrying capacity is. I also like the appearance; they look really good. I use them for lots of non-shopping chores as well, e.g., dry cleaning, hauling books and papers to the library, and other things that a paper bag just would not be suitable for. I have one in the back seat to hold all my road atlases. I don't have any complaints at all, but I did read one feedback that made since to me. One user said the handles could be improved with wider mesh handles, and I think that's probably true. I don't use mine for my main grocery shopping, but if I did, I can see how that would be an improvement. Otherwise, keep up the good work.

Perfect in EVERY way!
I love, love, love these bags! They are large enough that all my groceries (for a family of 4) fit into the 4 bags I purchased. No more plastic bags!! They hold a TON of stuff. I even had to tell the bagger at the grocery store she could put more in them, she was only filling them 1/2 way. The bags are easily wiped out if something should leak/spill inside. They fold up and fit nicely in the pockets on the back of the seats in my minivan. I can't say enough good things about these reusable bags - they are AWESOME!

Good bags good price
I bought these bags as they are a bit stronger than the workhorse bags I had. They fit the bill. Much sturdier than the Workhorse bags (which are not bad by any means)and fold nicely when not in use. I now have 3 of these bags and 10 of the workhorse bags and have them neatly stored in both vehicles, so no matter what vehicle goes shopping, there are bags available. I bought some for my mother in law and my daughter as well. Both were tickled to death with them.

Love the bags!
My entire shopping order fits in the 6 bags I purchased. So much better than the mix of paper bags, plastic bags, and combination of paper & plastic bags I used to use. I would certainly recommend them to anyone and have already told many of friends about them. I am anticipating ordering more to give as presents.

A MUST for groceries!
I love, love, love my acme bags. I have been using the same ones for 3 or 4 years. The bag boys love how roomy they are. I love how easy it is to stack tons of stuff in them to bring them home. They are extremely durable and keep their shape well after years of use. Only buying new ones, because my mom and cousin have kept a couple.
