I bought these bags because the description stated that they stand alone. The bags do stand alone, not as well as I had hoped but better than the bags I am replacing. These bags are sturdy, and seem to be well made. They are taller than they are wide and mimic a brown paper grocery bag. Overall, I'm very happy with these bags and consider them a good buy.

The product is durable, attractive, and has uses well beyond trips to the grocery store. I am always receiving compliments that these are the greatest re-useable totes people have seen. I gave sets of 4 to each of my family members. They like them quite a bit and use them frequently.

I spent days trying to decide which bags to choose for my grocery shopping (so many choices!). I finally decided to get these because of the great price and they look so nice. I am so happy I picked these. Not only are they gorgeous, they are very high quality, durable and large. I always get compliments on them from the cashiers and baggers on how nice looking and strong they are. I bought 4 bags and fits $150 worth of my weekly groceries. They are a tad large when folded down flat (if you're used to the bags that roll up into tiny balls). Absolutely happy with these!

I first ordered a full set in white/green (Lunch pot, bento box and box apetite lunch box). I loved the nesting competeness and solidity of it. Then my engineer boyfriend got a hold of it and I wasn't going to get to use it any more unless I got him his own set - I bought the same in black and red for him. By the way, the Lunch pot works BEAUTIFULLY for breakfast: Cereal in the top (we get free milk at my work) and fruit in the bottom. I am set until lunch!

I love the EarthTotes. They are strong and have enough structure to stand up by themselves. I bought six last year and most "disappeared." So I had to order more. I get asked where I got them and am glad to tell people about them.

I ordered 3 of these EarthTotes several years ago and they are wonderful. I keep them in the backseat so they are handy when I go to the grocery store. I use them for everything since they are so sturdy. I recently used them to clear out all the items in my car so the inside could be cleaned at the carwash. I purchased 3 more recently. I always get comments at the store as they "stand up" to be filled. I have even given a couple as gifts.

I love my bags! They are very sturdy. I can pack twice as much in one of these as I can in a regular paper grocery sack. And no matter how heavy I've loaded it, the handles don't rip out or even strain. We've used these bags for so many things. Perfect for carrying odds and ends on camping trips and outings. They wash well too. Store flat and compact. I give four stars instead of five because after a couple years of use they do get softer and no longer stand up on their own empty, but as useful as they are, that's only a little bit of an annoyance. My oldest ones are in tan, which does show dirt after a while, but easier to see what's inside them not being as dark as the black when toting things on overnight outings. Great deal!

I recently bought these to replace the ones I had bought almost 5 years ago that bore the Acme label. (They really don't stand up very long but I'm determined to use reusable bags.) I expected them to be identical except for the label. I was shocked to find that that the fabric is no more than 2/3 the thickness of the earlier bags and the bags will not support as much weight, all at a markedly higher price than the Acme version. I will use these until they wear out but I'll be looking for something more like the sturdy bags I'm familiar with in the meantime.

These bags are strong and will carry a lot of weight. The bags stand up while loading them and fold up when putting them away.

I've always liked the idea of reusable grocery bags but didn't like the oddly colored bags commonly offered. These bags look pretty much like paper grocery bags with just a bit of added style.
These reusable bags are large enough and strong enough to contain all items in two bags _comfortably_. And since the trip to the grocery store and back involves a lot of walking for me, it's a major relief no longer to worry about struggling with two or three of the plastic bags *in each hand* cutting off circulation to my fingers before I get home.

Originally I only bought a few of these bags due to the cost. I wanted to "try them out" before buying enough to replace the bags I bought at the grocery store where I shop (they were all falling apart after only about a year).

Well these bags were well worth the investment! I've ordered them a few times and now have about 12 or so of them. EVERY time I go to the grocery store the clerks always comment on how great my bags are and ask where I got them. They are so strong and easy to clean. I just throw them in the wash + hang them to dry. You can stuff them with heavy items (if you want to). My original ones still look new!

I purchased four of these without double-checking the handle
length. These are not long enough to carry over the
shoulder and I can't carry a full bag with my hands due to
arthritis. So I can't use them for groceries as I planned.
If you are thinking of buying these, get out the tape measure
and check carefully. Don't just go by the picture.
