Materials
When it comes to sustainability, recycled cotton blows away organic cotton. It may be the most environmentally friendly fiber on the planet. Made from pre-consumer cotton "table waste" clippings that otherwise would be dumped in landfills, recycled cotton is manufactured with no wet finishing or dying. There is no chemical or liquid of any kind used in its process. Plus, recent advances in manufacturing have made the look and feel of recycled cotton almost identical to regular cotton.
Recycled cotton makes sense. Using it in place of regular cotton helps eliminate the harsh dyes, pesticides, energy, water and human labor required for conventionally grown cotton. Furthermore, by recycling discarded fibers we help divert the millions of tons of textile waste that enter our landfills each year. Click here to learn more about recycled cotton.
Sustainability
This bag can help you eliminate thousands of paper bags over its lifetime, and choosing products made from recycled cotton promotes a more sustainable path for cotton clippings that would otherwise end up in landfills. Great size, poor stitching

This bag is a great size, it fits several reusable containers, but it does not hold up very well. The stitching that holds the velcro and rope handle in place came apart on my bag. It was an easy fix, but I wish it held up better.

It only has a handle on one side of the bag, which makes not sense. And mine broke within a week. It's the size of a regular lunchbag but small if you have any kind of tupperware you put in it.

I Love this Lunch bag BUT....
This is a very cute bag, and its environmentally sound-recycled cotton, no PVC, no BPA, no nasty chemicals which was great for packing my child's lunch. It was also affordable...However...the seams came apart after using it for a few weeks and the handle came off a week later...not very durable. Its unfortunate...we relly liked this lunch bag. It might work for an adult who takes lunch to work but I think its not a great product for a child as there might be a lot more movement thus making the seams coe apart sooner.

handle broke
1 out of 1 customers found this review helpful
the handle broke within the first week. The handle is diminutive anyway, so I never used it. I ended up cutting the whole handle off and just pinch the top when I carry it. It does not keep its form very well. It becomes amorphous very quickly, so if you are expecting a bag that will look like a cloth version of a paper lunch bag, you may want to keep shopping. It is definitely a simple sack, and for that I appreciate it. If I had to do it over, I would look for a little extra support/structure however.

This did not meet any durability standards that's for sure! Within about a month the velcro strip started coming off. I sewed it back on & it came off again. Also, the thin cords cut into your hands if there's heavy items in it such as glass containers, etc. and they kept on getting stuck in the velcro! Lastly, it just wasn't big enough to fit a good-sized lunch, esp. since most lidded containers are larger than it's base. Very disappointed in this product & wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

Even after a single use, the stitching on the velcro strips are already becoming undone. The bag is not sturdily made, but otherwise it is fine and serves its purpose. A second handle on the bag would be a big improvement. For those who love to bring cut fruits/other food stuffs, this bag is not big enough to hold most plastic food containers.

I bought these bags last year
I bought these bags last year. I was very excited for them. Unfortunately, the stitching on the handles lasted barely one month. The velcro inserts started to come unstitched as well. These are a great idea, but very poorly manufactured. As inexpensive as they are, they are not worth it. Unless they have upgraded their manufacturing, I would not recommend these bags.

Poor design for string handle
Poor design for string handle. Material frays and comes out from under the velcro. Should be redesigned.

In the beginning I was quite plesed with the product. I have been using for a couple of weeks now and where the velcro is sewn, it is coming apart.

I initially liked the bag, but it did not hold up well. The velcro frayed and separated from the bag and this was without the bag ever having unusual wear and tear or having been through a washing machine.

I bought three of the reusable lunch sacks and on two of them, the strings broke after the first use. I love the bags, but they don't seem practical for daily use by children...

I really liked this bag and ordered 2 so that my boyfriend and I could take our lunches to work in them. I really liked that they seemed pretty sturdy except we took some leftover pasta in a reusable container and the 1 string that you hold the lunch sack together by broke... a little dissapointed about that.

I was excited to get this lunch bag, but when it came I was a bit disappointed. I thought it would be larger (my fault...I should have paid more attention to the dimensions before purchasing). I don't believe a larger one is available. It's well made, but only big enough for two or three small items. I would also like the handle to be sturdier.
