About reuseit™
reuseit™ is the new name of our award-winning, proprietary line of innovative reusable products (formerly Acme Bags). The line was launched in 2003 to empower society to reduce wasteful consumption of everyday disposables. All reuseit™ products are made from sustainable, high performance materials and in accordance with fair labor/fair wage practices. Materials
When it comes to sustainability, recycled cotton blows away organic cotton. It may be the most environmentally friendly fiber on the planet. Made from pre-consumer cotton "table waste" clippings that otherwise would be dumped in landfills, recycled cotton is manufactured with no wet finishing or dying. There is no chemical or liquid of any kind used in its process. Plus, recent advances in manufacturing have made the look and feel of recycled cotton almost identical to regular cotton.

Recycled cotton makes sense. Using it in place of regular cotton helps eliminate the harsh dyes, pesticides, energy, water and human labor required for conventionally grown cotton. Furthermore, by recycling discarded fibers we help divert the millions of tons of textile waste that enter our landfills each year. Click here to learn more about recycled cotton.

Sustainability
This bag can help you eliminate thousands of paper bags over its lifetime, and choosing products made from recycled cotton promotes a more sustainable path for cotton clippings that would otherwise end up in landfills. Our wide range of reusable bags are built to last, which saves both money and natural resources.

Great little brown bag replacement!

by Juliana G - 07/2010

I wish I could give this bag five stars because it's really my favorite for carrying food with me to class. I usually put my reusable water bottle in here so it doesn't sweat all over my laptop or my books (I'm a grad student) and totally destroy my life. Works great for that. Fits a crazy amount of food (One large water bottle, 1 apple, 1 spoon/spork-knife utensil, 1 reuasble napkin, 1 or 2 small - medium sized reusable food containers!) and stuff into it. It looks so small in comparison, really. I've lined the inside with foil and tossed warm popcorn into it to bring to the movies with me. It can hold enough popcorn for my husband and I - and we LOVE popcorn - and can then be easily washed clean. The reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that the velcro i starting to part from the bag itself on one side now. I know I can be rough with it since I open and close it a few times a day, but I can't leave out this "flaw." It can be easily remedied with some glue and after a year of use, it only just started to fall apart about a week ago. If you want a floppy bag that can hold things and also fit into your laptop bag or briefcase or backpack (my 17" laptop and this bag stuffed with food fit with no problem into my messenger bag), this is really the one to get.

Great size, poor stitching

by Stephanie T - 07/2010

1 out of 1 customers found this review helpful

This bag is a great size, it fits several reusable containers, but it does not hold up very well. The stitching that holds the velcro and rope handle in place came apart on my bag. It was an easy fix, but I wish it held up better.

love these bags

by Vaughan M - 07/2010

I am glad you offer them now in black. My kids use these everyday for snack bags and the white ones got very dirty. They are sturdy and washable.

I bought two of these bags so I'd have one handy while I washed the other, but the first one is still going strong. The bag is everything it needs to be: large enough for my thermos, drink, and snacks, small enough to fit into my backpack, neat-looking so I don't horrify my coworkers by bringing my lunch in old grocery bags, and washable. These are great bags, and I'd recommend them for anyone who just needs a good, solid lunchbag without any gimmicks.

Overall I like this sandwich bag!

by Carolyn A - 05/2010

I really dig how this sandwich bag is made out of recycled cotton. I also like how sturdy this bag is, and it's large enough to fit all of my containers. What I don't like about the bag is the color (or lack there of). I believe this bag does come in a darker color, but I ended up getting the "natural/creme" color, and it really does show a lot of dirt, and after just a few days of use. I also don't like that it only has one "strap" instead of two. The velcro is strong enough to keep the bag closed, but being so strong it picks up a lot of lint, etc when it is washed. Overall, I would give this bag a 4 our of 5 stars.

easy to use, better handle would be nice

by Linda T - 05/2010

Have ordered several of these bags as my family makes the transition from disposable lunch products to reusable. These bags are just the right size to hold a big or a small lunch. My husband and I use the cream colored ones and have had no problems although they can get dirty easily. My son likes the black bags, but has ripped off the handle twice. It's still easy to carry for him and he really likes that it packs so flat in his backpack on the way home. Insulated lunch bags took up too much space.

It only has a handle on one side of the bag, which makes not sense. And mine broke within a week. It's the size of a regular lunchbag but small if you have any kind of tupperware you put in it.

Simple Lunch Bag

by Jen P - 03/2010

This lunch bag is OK: very simple. I always used a lunch bag with more structure, but the linings ripped eventually, so I thought a simpler bag would be better. I miss the structure though: it packs better in my bag that I bring to work each day. But this lunch bag holds everything I need and is sturdy, so my rating will be good because the bag is well made. I just prefer another type.

I Love this Lunch bag BUT....

by Ana B - 03/2010

This is a very cute bag, and its environmentally sound-recycled cotton, no PVC, no BPA, no nasty chemicals which was great for packing my child's lunch. It was also affordable...However...the seams came apart after using it for a few weeks and the handle came off a week later...not very durable. Its unfortunate...we relly liked this lunch bag. It might work for an adult who takes lunch to work but I think its not a great product for a child as there might be a lot more movement thus making the seams coe apart sooner.

Drawable but shrunk after first wash.

by Desiree S - 03/2010

1 out of 1 customers found this review helpful

My kids love these bags because they were like a blank canvas for them to design. The size was great initially, but after a warm wash in the washing machine, they have shrunk and I am unable to fit in one of their lunch containers properly. Maybe handwashing with cold water would have made a difference.

Needs another handle

by Kelly N - 03/2010

This bag is fine. I like the size, the shape and the fabric. But it really should have two handles. I didn't realize when ordering that there is only a handle on one side, which makes it awkward to carry when the velcro across the top isn't closed. Sometimes, it can't be closed, because things don't fit perfectly. And sometimes the velcro comes undone and the bag falls open.

Had to sew velcro, but would buy again

by Kate M - 02/2010

I use this bag for my daughter's lunch daily and wash on the weekends. The velcro pulled off on one side which I sewed back on before it came entirely off. Other than that the bag has stood up well and I plan to purchase one for myself. When standing open it can fit a short fat thermos, apple, a muffin and a few cookie. The handle is superfluous and can easily be cut off.

Great bags

I love these bags and use them to hold snacks for school. I let each child decorate their bag with fabric markers, which makes for a fun and personalized way to carry their snacks.

handle broke

by peter f - 01/2010

1 out of 1 customers found this review helpful

the handle broke within the first week. The handle is diminutive anyway, so I never used it. I ended up cutting the whole handle off and just pinch the top when I carry it. It does not keep its form very well. It becomes amorphous very quickly, so if you are expecting a bag that will look like a cloth version of a paper lunch bag, you may want to keep shopping. It is definitely a simple sack, and for that I appreciate it. If I had to do it over, I would look for a little extra support/structure however.
