In 2002 we introduced our innovative ACME Bags™ Workhorse; replacing thousands of disposable plastic bags a year with each one. Design & Functionality
Our ACME Bags™ Recycled PET Ultra Compact Tote has a truly innovative feature - it folds into its own mini-sack attached inside the bag. Once stuffed into its pouch, it measures only 2" x 3" x 2", easily fitting into the palm of your hand and small enough to stash in a purse or pocket so you will always have one handy. Plus, it is impossible to lose the storage pouch since it's attached to the bag.
The 50/50 blend of recycled PET and nylon is a heavier fabric weight than ripstop nylon, making it tough enough to carry a heavy load. Weighing in at only 2.1 ounces, these lightweights perform like champs. Each bag opens into a heavy-duty, water- and mildew-resistant 14"x 16" x 6" tote and holds up to 25 lbs. With this bag, you may never have to take a plastic shopping bag again.
Materials
We work with trusted mills that develop materials for some of the best brands in the outdoors industry - Patagonia, for example - to develop our unique, next generation recycled PET. We’ve done our research to insure this material is genuinely made from recycled bottles and containers – so you can be sure you’re really getting a sustainable shopping bag.
Unlike cheaper versions of recycled PET, our Next Generation Recycled PET fabric, blended with nylon, is as beautiful & strong as it is sustainable. Using recycled PET is smart - it cuts down on waste & minimizes damage to the environment by conserving oil, energy & non-renewable resources. In the U.S. alone over 45 billion plastic containers ended up in landfills in 2006.

The biggest problem with reusable bags is remember
The biggest problem with reusable bags is remembering to take them along -- my string grocery bags are always in the car, but even so there are days when I forget to bring them into the store! So, I've got this clipped to my keychain, and I can flip it out at a moment's notice. When I use it, store employees and other customers are always very interested (so small! so sturdy! so cute! so convenient!). It's a great way to spread the word about how easy it can be to reduce plastic bag use!

I like this item b/c it's made of recycled materia
I like this item b/c it's made of recycled material and is eco friendly, however...I bought it for a friend and have yet to hear from her how the product is working for her. I'm hoping she loves it!

I received this as a free gift on my last purchase
I received this as a free gift on my last purchase and liked it so much I ordered two more! My only complaint is that I ordered 'red' and the colour is a bit more like cranberry or a dark rosé. I don't mind, but my husband wasn't too thrilled. :)

This is just a wonderful little bag
This is just a wonderful little bag. You can fit it in your pocket when your on the run and you'd be suprise how often it comes in handy. I am placing and order for more of them. Great price and quality. Buy in multiples.

The are really nice bags and the longer handles are great when you want to carry them on your shoulders. We purchased 2 (and have several others in different styles) and will be purchasing them as gifts in the future. Great compactable item with alot of strength.

I love these- I keep 2 in my purse,and rarely need
I love these- I keep 2 in my purse,and rarely need to use plastic bags at the store anymore. These hold a lot, and pack up very compactly. I gave several as gifts for Christmas!

Ultra handy and great for the environment
Ultra handy and great for the environment... I absolutely LOVE these bags!! I was amazed at how easily they fit back into the pouch after use! The size is perfect for a quick trip to the grocery store. I bought some for my mom and she plans to take them on vacation to carry her purchases home with her. They are much more than just "grocery bags!" I plan to buy several of these and use them as hostess gifts. Highly recommended!

ACME workhouse is my all time favoite so I ordered
ACME workhouse is my all time favoite so I ordered this to have one with longer handles. They pack up so small that it's easy to always have a couple with you in your purse, car, whatever. Always get compliments when I whip out my tiny bag that holds so much stuff!

This bag doesn't fold back into itself as nicely as the other bags I have. In fact I just fold it up in my purse. I would also have liked it to be wider to be used for a bigger shopping bag. It's really not much bigger than my other recycled bags I have purchased here that I love.

I personally didn't use the bags
I personally didn't use the bags. I bought them as Christmas gifts, so I hope the people I will give them to will use them & like them as much as I do. The only complaint that I have, is the little bag that is the storage bag is very small & tight. I opened up one of the bags to check it out, and I had a hard time getting it back into the bag.

I love this bag
I love this bag. Before I ordered these I had a couple cloth bags that I said I would alaways take to the store, but I would always forget them in the car, or in the house. With these bags they just fit right in my purse and I do not have to worry about remembering them. The only bad thing about them is I have had to sew the edge of the storing pouch twice since I had them, but other than that the quality is great!!!! LOVE THEM EVERYONE NEEDS AT LEAST ONE!!!

I decided to try these bags to see what they were
I decided to try these bags to see what they were like. They're not as stylish or large as the Envirosax or as ultra-compact as the the other Acme bags when stuffed into their pouches, but these bags are more durable and have long straps which for me make them perfect for carrying a lot of books. Another winner.
