Bazura Kids Reusable Tote / Lunch / Gift Bags are made in the Philippines by a women's cooperative, utilizing used juice containers. These containers are purchased through a network of local school children. Indestructible and non-biodegradable by nature, foil juice packs clog landfills, fields and streets throughout the Philippines. Using clever designs that combine the material's strength & brilliant colors, the co-op helps keep the environment clean via this very cool method of recycling.
About Bazura Bags
Bazura Bags come from a women's co-op in the Philippines that set up a Livelihood Project assisted by the local village council. With almost no capital, the women found a very clever way to support themselves.
Every day, children from the local schools collect over 50,000 used drink containers, called doy packs, then sell them to the co-op. The bags are sanitized and the women sew them together into attractive, durable bags.
Unlike most third world factory workers toiling away in sweatshops, these women are entrepreneurs and shareholders. They work for themselves and have a positive impact on their community and, at the same time, they encourage environmentalism.

It's estimated that millions of juice containers get thrown in the trash everyday in the Philippines.

Really cute, but kinda spendy
I got this for half off and it's still kind of expensive for what it is. I'm planning to start collecting these at my son's school and sew a few of my own. (There is a wonderful video on e-Bay by a teenager who shows you every step.)

They're adorable and sturdy, and each time I've used one I've received compliments. I don't carry a purse and sometimes I just want to bring something with me in the car or to a friend's house, and this bag is perfect. I expect I will find other uses for it.

I purchased one Kids bag for my granddaughter as well as two large grocery bags for myself. The quality of both bags is excellent. I really love my grocery bags. My granddaughter loves her bag. The only thing I don't like is that her bag is made up completely of fun chum packages. We don't have fun chum around here (Mass) and the name strikes me as weird. One adult who read her bag said to me, 'That's gross.' I don't know what they meant and I don't want to know. I went to your website just yesterday to buy some more large bags for my daughters but it occured to me that they might receive bags made of fun chum. My bags are made with Sunkist packages and I love them. Sunkist is a name I know and it isn't wierd. Plus it is beautifully colorful. I didn't order the bags because I was afraid I was going to get bags made with fun chum packages. If you are going to use fun chum, I would recomend blending them in so they are not as noticable. Other than this complaint, I really love my bags. If I was sure I could get more bags just like the large grocery bags I allready got, then I would buy more. My daughters are jeolous of my bags. They want some.

Buying a few more of these bags to have on hand for gift giving. I have been using mine as a purse and also a snack bag since I have to bring my own food often. I love that they stand upright and are waterproof! Great bags for a great cause. I have used them often and never damaged one yet!

I use this bag almost every day to bring my lunch to work. It's a perfect size for a sandwich/soda and chips combo. I sometimes bring micro meals in and they fit perfectly also. Love the idea of how these are made. They are too small for most shopping trips, but work perfectly as a lunch tote.

These are fantastic
These are fantastic. I put children's gifts in them this year and the adults were also in love with them. They're so colorful and durable that I know they will be used often for lunches, treasures, hair accessories, video games, etc. I know that they are a little pricey for a gift bag, but if you think about what it takes to create them, the conversations that they start about recycling, the cost of that many juice pouches and how practical and adorable they are it might help convince you! I have gotten 4 more for us to use to spread the word!

I love these bags
I love these bags. I use them for everything but the best part is being waterproof. If it gets dirty or sticky, I just hose them off. Perfect for gardening or fruit carrying or trips to the beach.
