Design & Functionality
Great looking and built to last, Blue Q totes stand on their own for easy packing and fold flat for convenient storage. These super-strong totes can hold 40+ pounds of groceries. Colorful and fun, they also make great picnic and beach bags or shopping totes for malls and department stores. Interior pocket is ideal for holding coupons, grocery lists or other small items.
Materials
Blue Q bags are made by taking old grain sacks and plastic water bottles, grinding them up, heating them into a type of thread, which is then woven to create a super-strong 95% post-consumer recycled polypropylene material. Only the handle and film required to screen the design are not made from recycled materials.
Sustainability
This bag can help you eliminate thousands of paper and plastic bags over its lifetime, and choosing products made from post-consumer recycled materials promotes a more sustainable path for landfill-bound waste.
About Blue Q
Brothers Mitch and Seth Nash founded Blue Q in 1988 and still own it today. For the past 15 years, the company has also been the largest local private employer of individuals with disabilities, who make up one quarter of the Blue Q workforce. The company has a close working relationship with the family-owned company in China that makes their bags. Any factories Blue Q partners with must pass rigorous inspections to ensure they meet high, ethical standards for employee care, product quality, and environmental responsibility.

Miso Sturdy.
I purchased this bag at another retailer about 7-8 years ago. Since then, it's been used as a grocery bag, for clothes shopping bag, and as the bag that I fold up when we travel. Midway through my ownership, the plastic bottom broke. It's still in there but it's cracked in places. The bag still stands on its own however, provided there's not something making it lean to one side or the other. Unless they have changed their manufacturing, I'd HIGHLY recommend this bag. I'm considering buying a couple more to give as gifts because the graphics are eye-catching and their utility cannot be doubted.

Best Shopping bag EVER!
I love this shopping bag! It is the best bag! I always take it to the grocery store with me. It holds so much and I always get complimented on it and asked where I got it.

Sassy and cute

I have to say, I feel as sassy as Dale Evans when I carry this bag, but it's not the strongest or most heavy-duty bag I've ever seen. I wish the handles were longer so I could carry it over my shoulder, but c'est la vie. So far, I've only carried light loads in it and I don't plan to over-load it for fear of losing the handles or tearing a hole in it. Love the designs on it, though.

Must have for the eco-minded shopper
I bought these along with the coin purses as gifts and they are perfectly fun. The shopper tote even has a small pocket that the coin purse fits into very nicely. They are a great combo for the girl who is serious about her shopping, and since she'll have her own bag it'll benefit the environment too!
