Double Walled Glass Water Bottle with Tea Filter by Aquaovo

I now own two Aquaovos and LOVE them. I use them everyday for my tea. They keep it nice and hot for quite a long time and I don't burn my hands when I drink it. The bottle goes through the dishwasher just fine on the bottom shelf (lid on top). It's a great way to drink tea (or coffee) or any beverage and stop using plastic.

I saw this and thought it would be great. Being made out of glass I knew it would be fragile but I had no idea it could be so easily broken. I used the bottle exclusively at work (desk job) and drank only ice water in it. Today when putting ice into the glass the bottom broke out with a loud pop. I can only assume the pop was from the vacuum (or air i guess) between the double glass walls. Apparently the force of gravity on a cube of ice falling the distance between the lip of the jar to the bottom is sufficient to shatter the glass. It is unfortunate because I liked everything about this water bottle, but given how easily it was broken I wouldn't get it again. Look for something with thicker glass, this one is just to thin and fragile.

I was tired or drinking out of metal and wanted a container suitable to the delicate tastes of tea. I love this. Whatever I put into it only tastes like the beverage, not the container. As one reviewer pointed out, there are often some drops that trickle down the side upon turning it right side up after steeping but if you're prepared for it it's not a big deal. I handle the issue of fragility by keeping it in a neoprene Built tote. I took it on a four day backpacking trip in this way with no problems.

I like the concept a lot, because I am an avid drinker of teas.
I use it rather as a teapot, than a thermos, because there are a lot of teas (like green) that
not appreciate long steeping. So I brew my tea and then serve it.
I would appreciate if the filter were deeper, more like a tiny basket, so you can put the
thermos upside down and use the "basket" as a tea holder...
I also found it extremely fragile, the interior glass just broke without any noticeable
accident, sometime in the first year.

This is a great bottle for making tea. I don't use the strainer that came with it, because it can be a bit of a mess. I use loose tea in a small stainless steel strainer I had. Once steeped, I remove the strainer and pop on the lid. The tea stays warm for almost an hour.

The only drawback is that the bottle can be slippery if it is wet, or as you hand wash it (although it cleans up easy in the dishwasher). It would be great if they could add a removable silicone sleeve in a future design. Other than that it's great!

I love my Aquavo, and so does everyone else who see's it. I've bought three from this website to date. One I broke, one was a replacement and one for a friend. I love how it is so multi-functional. It can be used to all kinds of tea (even tea bags) coffee or really any kind of liquid hot or cold. It looks so sleek too! I think everyone should own one of these bad boys.

I love this website and the idea around being about to reuse eeryday items. I like getting the discount when you purchase two or more. I bought my first Aquavo a month or so ago and it broke, so I had to order another one. My friend loved mine so much I got her one too when I was buying my second one! It is also cheaper to order from reuse it then from the montreal designers website for the same product. I have told many co-workers, family and friends about this site and they automatically assume it's a used website, when in fact it is new reusable items.
I wonder now how I can get some promotion counpons so I can do some more shopping!

This is a great water bottle! I have loved it since I bought it about a month ago. It is insulated so it doesn't sweat all over everything, it's glass so there are no harmful chemicals leaching out of it into my favorite beverages, and its cap is made of BPA free plastic, so when the fluid IS in contact with the cap, I'm not being exposed to BPA. I haven't used the tea straining part, but it is a neat feature I would use if I was drinking tea. It snaps firmly into place in the neck of the bottle and has a loop to pull on to remove it. It is nicely made and I get comments about it frequently at work. The glass is thick so it doesn't feel like it would break very easily if dropped either.

I've had this bottle for a couple of weeks and so far so good! I use it everyday, mostly for just water. The appearance is great, exactly like the picture shown. I got this product to stop using plastic bottles, and this glass bottle has got the job done. The construction is sturdy, but I always worry about it breaking since it is glass. I've accidentally hit it (gently and in my purse) against my car door and it wasn't scratched or broken! I haven't fully dropped or knocked it over (hoping it stays that way) since I'm paranoid about it breaking. Definitely not for those who throw their stuff around. The only negative I have to say is that if water gets caught in the lid, it sometimes drips onto the outside when the lid is screwed on. I don't mind it, but it could be something to consider. A little pricey for my tastes but a good buy since I use it all the time.

I was really excited about this product and used it for a couple of days with great enthusiasm. Unfortunately, it tipped over when it was placed on the ground and broke to pieces. I thought this degree of fragility was incredibly disappointing. (No normal glasses break like this!) I would understand if it had fallen or had been forcefully knocked over, but neither of these occurred and thus I cannot justify buying another....which is too bad because it was perfect in every other respect. Thus, it was a severe disappointment.

I was so in love with this bottle. Made drinking tea a pure joy. Unfortunately, I need to tote it around with me and that was not a good idea. I only had it for a month, before accidentally and kind-of gently knocking it over. The entire inner core broke from the rest of the bottle. Goodbye $30. I guess I'll just stick to stainless. :(

This is a beautiful glass water bottle. I will eventually buy more of them. It feels solid and the cap screws on securely. There are two things to consider though. First, are you taking brewing/steeping the tea while you're on the go? If so, you'll need somewhere to put the little tea basket inside after the tea steeps. Other bottles, like the Libre, make the tea basket as part of the cap itself, and this has certain advantages (read my Libre review for disadvantages). The second is minor and I didn't notice until I traveled with the bottle. But it might be too large for most car holders. My take is that the quality/design of this bottle trumps both of these. I brew the tea before leaving, and so I can leave the little tea basket on the counter. As for the car, there are other places I can keep the bottle. It's too difficult to navigate a bottle and a cap while I'm driving that I store the bottle somewhere secure anyway. I would be happy if this bottle only sat on my counter. It's that nice looking.

This bottle is sturdy, beautifully designed and works really well for making tea safely in the microwave. It's the perfect size and it never feels hot even when filled with hot water. I use tea bags and so I can't comment on how the tea strainer works. My only wish is that it would come with a top that you could drink through. I contacted the company and they said that is in the works. I would highly recommend this product!

I love my tea bottle. Those who complain that the leaves are staying in the bottle haven't used this thing. I pour the hot water over the leaves, wait a while and then pull out the strainer. I have tea kept warm at my desk for the next hour. I love sipping it throughout the day.
