Fresh herbs are great in so many dishes- but they're often grown and sold in large bushels even though most recipes call for a small amount. Progressive International's Herb Keeper offers another way to avoid wasting food, money and plastic packaging. Just add a bit of water to the keeper, slice of the ends of your unused herbs and place them inside the keeper. Store it in the refrigerator or the counter to preserve flavor and freshness. Your herbs should last up to three weeks. Even if you grow your own herbs, you can store a handful in the keeper so you always have them within reach while cooking. You can also use it to store asparagus, keeping it hydrated and fresh.

Design and Functionality
Progressive International's Herb Keeper keeps fresh herbs like parsley, cilantro or basil fresh for up to three weeks. The keeper has an inner, center tube that holds the herbs upright keep the leaves from the water and keep air circulating around the entire bunch. A "fill" line is denoted, so you'll always have the right amount of water. Remove any dead stems from herbs and cut 0.5" at bottom just like fresh flowers. Immense herb stems in water, and be sure to change water reservoir water every 3 to 4 days. Do not overcrowd the herbs, and leave room for air to circulate. To keep herbs such as basil and cilantro fresher longer, store on kitchen counter with lid removed. Great for storing asparagus, as well. Water should be changed regularly.

Just another plastic container just designed for herbs. Did not preserve herbs any better than any ordinary container. Totally disappointed
