Kids Can\'t get lid on!!

WE loved these lunchboxes when they first came. The idea behind it is great, and the many compartments, the personalisation of the stickers- all great! However, our kids (despite lots of training and reminding) can't seem to get the lids back on during the day. This means that we have had all kinds of floating food in the bottom of the school backpack, leading to family fights and very smelly backpacks!! Too bad. We will have to replace them with something else.

hard to close lid

by melissa D - 09/2011

This looked like a great design. We were looking forward to having an easy to use container for our kinder with one lid that would be less likely to get misplaced. However the lid is really hard to put on securely, even for us, and quite tricky for a child. It usually results in a bit of a mess in his backpack... I'm not sure if we're going to be able to continue to use unfortunately.

Not our favorite

by Kris M - 09/2011

We were really excited about this lunchbox. The compartments seemed ideal, and the stickers fun.

But the reality is it's way too big and really hard to close all the different sections quickly and without a lot of effort.

My daughter carried it to school 2x and that was it.

It will now we a craft box. Or used for car trips.

Boo hoo.

LOVE IT

by connie g - 07/2011

We love this lunch box! Awesome. It lasted all of last year and will be used next year again!
Why throw away plastic if it is still useable! And we took off all the stickers (which lasted
alllll year!!) and before the next school year my daughter will decorate it again!! If closed properly nothing will leak and will not mix with other food. I showed my 5 yr old and she
could close it! It only leaked once all year and that was because the lunch lady closed it
and just kinda pushed the lid on. The lid needs to be pressed on both ends and in the middle for it to close completely. so great!!! We saved soooo many baggies and small packaged goodies from being used this past school year...a waste free lunch!!!
We Love our goodbyn lunch box!!!

Fun container

by judith r - 05/2011

I got this for family trips. It holds snacks for the four of us. There's no way my almost 5 year old could handle this for school, but he enjoyed putting stickers on it. My younger one likes holding it and checking out the compartments. Again, it is fun, but it is huge.

KIDS ADORE THEM.

by annamarie j - 04/2011

We have been using these and we think they are amazing, ordered from America as nothing even came close in the U.K. We were put off by some of the reviews but all 3 of my children have no problem with the lids and have loved them, especially the stickers! The drinks don't leak on ours either. Great product, very pleased.

Not worth the money

by Sandy T - 01/2011

I bought two of these, one for son, one for daughter. He was in Kindergarten at the time and was told not to bring it back as they spend so much time teaching the kids to try to do for themselves as much as possible. He could not close it without it leaking. He is now 7 and still has a hard time when we use them rarely on a picnic or something. We switched to laptop lunches and could not be happier. I loved the idea of just one container to wash but its not worth the money. I also had a hard time keeping food cold without a carrier there is no place to put an icepack. Even in the fridge overnight it was warm by lunch time the following day. planetbox is awesome as well!!

Great Product

by connie g - 01/2011

Wonderful idea and great product. My daughter has used this all school year, haven't had a leak and I even pack yogurt. The drinking bottle is perfect size and never leaks, I usually fill it with ice and water and it keeps the food cool as well. LOVE this lunch box, plus it makes lunch fun. The lil space above the water bottle area is great for a cookie or another lil sweet treat.

Almost perfect

by Lori B - 12/2010

I love these lunch boxes. So wonderful not to have to have multiple tupperware used and then later have to do lots of dishes. My only complaint is the bottle inside it leaks.

Too large and food doesn't stay put.

This was was not worth the money. The containers are large, but they are too deep. The water bottle was "cheap". The lunch box was difficult to close - they give you instructions on which spots on the top you need to push in order to close it properly and if you didn't do it right, it doesn't close. What really bothered me the most was, the top did not seal each inside container. So when you tipped the lunch box sideways, the food would move and you would have a mess when you opened it. Also, the lunch box is awfully large. My son was embarassed to carry it. I tried to give them away to a friend (I bought 2 and didn't even touch other one), but she didn't want them either.

Still leaks

by Christine G - 11/2010

I was so excited to get this lunchbox after hearing that there were significant improvements. Well, long story short, the same problems still exist - namely the water bottle leakage, the sweet plastic smell, and the warping after washing in the dishwasher. The plastic smell is slight and no one seems to mind it too much; it's just a little strange. I noticed that the lids were tougher to seal over the main box so now I hand wash everything. No big deal there. The one that is a real problem is the water bottle. Upon examination it seems like the problem would be solved with a rubber gasket. I hope Goodbyn figures that out. Strange that something so simple would be missing. The reason why this is a problem is that the compartment won't fit any other type of water bottle. However, it IS the right size for a juice box! So now there goes our waste-free lunch. But by two boys are so happy I am actually juice for them after such a long stint of going with water for every meal. Even with these drawbacks I am considering purchasing this box for my not-yet-school-aged caught who tries to steal her brothers boxes. They are very cute!

Love this lunchbox

by Debbie P - 11/2010

I found this lunchbox after a couple weeks of packing lunches for my twin kindergartners. I first went the baggie route - way too much waste. Next came plastic Glad containers, but after losing a lid a day, I knew we needed something better. These lunchboxes are PERFECT. I was worried about the size, but it isn't a problem, and I love how the drink is built in the pack (and with the cool stickers, we labeled both the box and the drink container with the boys' names and room #s). I don't send things with too much liquid (applesauce, yogurt), but for sandwiches, dry foods and fruit, this works great (that way, if there are leftovers and the boys don't close every seal, there's still no mess in their backpacks). I couldn't be happier with this product - never dreamed I'd be this excited about a lunchbox!

This is too big for my 1st grade.

by Kimberly S - 10/2010

This lunch box, although cute and fun, is way too big for my first grader and it is very hard to close properly. It is a great concept, but she only used it for a week before spilling her lunch when it was not closed well. It is very hard to know if it sealed all of the way around. We will not be sending it to school anymore. SHe may use it for other things.
