Heavy Duty Hemp Grocery Set

These bags are nice and hefty but difficult to use. I thought I was doing my wife a big favor buy purchasing these but she really dislikes them and the super market cashiers hate them. The problem is that when loading the bags, the items continuously fall over inside the bag making adding additional items time consuming and difficult. My wife said the cashiers really give her a hard time when she comes in with these. The cheap bags sold at the super market have a cardboard base inserted in the bottom the so that items stand upright and can be quickly packed. I made bottoms for these bags out of foam board hoping to solve the problem. My wife has yet to try them this way. I believe she is too worried to take them back inside the market. Although durable,these were very pricey for the way they work.

Don't think twice about buying these! They're super strong, huge inside so you can really load them up, and they look great. Poeple ask me all the time where I got them. And when they're dirty, just throw them in the wash! What more could you want?!

I purchased these bags over two years ago and did not want to write a review until I had used them for awhile. I LOVE these bags! The grocery store consistently comments on how much they like them as well. I have tried several different cloth grocery bags over the years but these are the only ones that I use now. They hold much more than you would think, are easy to carry and, after two years,still look like they did when I bought them. After unpacking them when I get home, I fold them up and put them right back into the car. I have ordered more and given them away as gifts along with the SmartCycle produce bags. An excellent purchase.

I don't remember exactly when I bought these bags but I know it was either 2004 or before. These bags have been to the store, to work, camping, through the wash, and more. I have used them nearly everyday since I bought them and they show no signs of slowing down. No holes, no weak seams. The employees at the grocery store consistently ask me where I bought them because they want some, too. I would definitely recommend this product!

I am very pleased with my hemp grocery bags. The construction is great. The size is perfect, and the handles make them so easy to tote. I'll definitely be buying more. What I did not expect was the emotional high I felt when both the cashier and the bagger thanked me for helping our planet on my very first use. And then there was that 5 cent per bag savings for bringing my own, lol. Thanks for making such a sturdy, earth-friendly product.

Like everyone else the only problem is that you have to remember to bring them when you go shopping. These bags are large, sturdy and with a family of four you can put a week's worth of groceries in two of these. Our bagger is always amazed at these bags strength and size. Our family bought 8 of these bags and always keeps 2 in each car.We not only use these for groceries but when we also go to places like Target or the mall.

These bags are wonderful. They are extremely durable and hold a lot. the straps make them easy to carry and don't hurt your hands.

I always bag my own groceries but now I have great hemp bags that will last and last. The brown color looks just like the old brown that we made at a paper mill. They hold a lot more than it appears. Great product.

I was so impressed by these beautiful bags. They hold a lot and fold up easily to stack and store in car or shopping cart. The handles are heavy duty for secure handling. I am ordering more for gifts! Love them!

These bags are great! Very sturdy and has plenty of room (I can fit 4 cereal boxes in one). I thought the handles were longer than they were, but no matter, the shorter handles make it easy for my kids to carry up the bags!

These bags are great! They hold so much more than a regular plastic grocery bag and are unbelievably strong. I get compliments on them each time I go the store and everyone wants to know where I got them. The only draw back to them is that just like plastic bags, the opening in the top of bag is not rigid so items tend to roll out of the bag and all around your trunk. The solution is to buy a cargo net or canvas cargo caddy.

The discription said that it holds the same ammount as a brown paper bag. The bags are not as tall as the paper ones found at stores, but they do hold a nice ammount. $200 in groceries used 7 bags. They are very nice and strong. Recommended.

Great bags that hold alot! I have a family of four and only go to the market once a week. I have yet to need more than four bags for all our groceries. They really do hold quite a bit! Also, other bags feel like the handles will fall off when you place bottles of Pop or juice in them but these took two pop bottles without a problem. These are great bags!
