Materials
Made from high-quality, food grade Type 304 stainless steel, which resists stain and rust due to its chromium content, making it a favored material in food processing, dairy and brewing. It's also one of the safest materials for food storage and handling, because it's easy to clean, durable and sanitary. Stainless steel is an iron-containing alloy made from some of the basic elements found in earth: iron ore, silicon, nickel, carbon, nitrogen and manganese.
Properties of the final alloy are tailored by varying amounts of these elements. There are more than 57 stainless steels recognized as standard alloys on the market. High-quality, sanitary-grade 304 stainless steel has low nickel content. It has excellent resistance to stain or rust due to its chromium content, making it a material of choice among the food processing, dairy and brewery industries. It's easy to clean, durable, inert and sanitary.
Lid is made from a European food-grade silicone.
Sustainability
Eliminates the need for use-and-toss plastic baggies, wraps and aluminum foil, saving money and natural resources over time. Since stainless steel containers do not leach harmful chemicals like certain plastics do, they are a healthy, eco-friendly lunch-time alternative.

Replacing All Plastic!
These things are great. We'd had little success finding non-plastic food storage that actually sealed, but these are it. We've used them for liquids (no spills if you make sure the top is on tight) and tried the top in the microwave, and they do their job. This size is large enough for a good lunch portion of leftovers or a nice big salad. Easy to clean.

Great all around
My five year old was so jealous of her dad's container, she wanted one for herself. She was able to open and close it, but there is a slight trick to getting it over the edge all the way before completely putting it on. My husband also reported that it can only heat half the food it holds at a time, but said that was minor issue given how useful it is. Overall, we are very happy with the product.

Well designed & practical
Got this for hiking and lunches. It does what it claims to do and does so well. I haven't used it with liquids, but am not really planning on doing so. The lid fits snug, pops up well (as designed) but will only hold about half of what's in the box (keep that in mind when you use it with microwaves). Given how tricky it sometimes is to put back on the lid (wouldn't recommend it for children) I figure it must hold liquids as well, but I haven't tried it for hikes (works when you try it out in the kitchen).

I love it. Just wish there were other/smaller sizes.

Good product, but not for children
My intent was to use this stainless steel container in my child's lunch box. However, the top is extremely hard to manipulate (even for an adult), as you need to "stretch" the silicone top so that it fits over the container. The nesting set of three stainless containers with regular "pop on" tops are much better for kids. However, I kept the containers for adult use (fruits and veggie snacks) and it's been great. While we don't use the top to microwave, it's still handy to have an extra bowl when traveling/out on a picnic. It's a good product, just not for kids, and you need to be willing to work with the top, not just pop it on.

Love this purchase!
I have been looking for an item to hold my soup that was not made out of plastic and could be microwaved. This product fits the bill. They did have a slight "silicone" taste when I initially used them, but that has disappeared with use and washing. I love the colors, and how easily the lid snaps on, but is also easy to take off.

It does the job. The lid is sometimes hard to put on tightly, but maybe that is just me. I don't know if I would buy this product again. I like the looks of the product. I will give it an above average rating.

The (nearly) perfect food container.

Love the Innate MC2, I just wish it was a bit larger. I purchased this because it seemed like it be great for bringing leftovers to work—and it is. The expandlable, microwavable bowl was the key selling point for me. Works like a charm.

i love this container!

these containers are cute and the lid secures on so salads and rice/pasta dishes do not end up in my bag. I can just dump my food into the expandable top (and add any dressing or sauce) when i am ready to eat and enjoy! I purchased two as christmas presents for my mom and sister - a cute and responsible holiday gift!

Great, compact size

I like this container a lot. It is a perfect, compact size that is easy to take with me to work without bulking up my bag too much but still can hold a good amount of food. Also, the lid attaches very securely, so I am confident that it won't open or leak when I put it in my big. Of course, because it is stainless steel it is limited to mostly cold food. I have tried to transfer the food to the lid, after expanding it, and then heat the food in that in the microwave, which does work, but is an extra step. Overall, this seems like a really high-quality product and I recommend it.

I'm so happy I got this. I've been looking for a leakproof lunch container that wasn't plastic for some time, so when I saw this I was super excited. The lid is somewhat difficult to securely put on, but the awesomeness of the bowl makes up for that. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone!

Cool Design!

This container is awesome! Like others have said, it's best for pasta or rice-type dishes - the instructions say it's not meant to handle anything soupy. I've taken lasagna and casserole to work in it and it works great! I love how the lid pops out into a bowl.

These are great for small snacks, like nuts and goldfish. I wish they came in a slightly larger size. They are too small for grapes or cut up apples and other fruits.

These are really great for re-heating pasta at work. The container seals tight and when I'm ready to eat, I pop open the bowl, dump my food in and nuke it til it's hot.
