Design & Functionality
Lightweight and easy to use, InnateVite Stainless Steel Sport Bottle is a durable reusable container that will not leach toxins into its contents. The wide mouth accomodates ice cubes and makes it easy to clean. FDA-approved #5 polypropylene pop top makes it easy enough for a child to use and the easy-grip indents are perfect for small hands. Fits most bike cages and car cup holders.
Materials
Innate stainless steel bottles are made with premium food-grade type 304 stainless steel. This material is chosen for its consistent quality and performance characteristics of not leaching chemicals, staining, corroding or rusting. The inside of Innate bottles are finished using an electrolyte charge and dolomitic sand-blasting, which seals the surface and prevents minerals from migrating into the contents.
#5 polypropylene is a durable plastic with no known leaching characteristics. The polypropylene parts used on these bottles are subject to internal batch testing combined with testing by an independent agency, SGS, to US FDA and European Norm (EN) food container standards.
Sustainability

not great
We've had one of these for about a year and the little plastic piece that people refer to hasn't come off. It has been durable for my first grader. However, I am not happy that it doesn't come apart easily to clean all the parts - especially the seal which can harbor bacteria. So we only use it for water. I wish we hadn't purchased it.

Ours broke before the third use

I agree completely with the other reviews on the page. The little plastic piece is like the piece that keeps a tag on a new piece of clothing, it is that small and flimsy. This is the only thing between your kid's backpack contents and a lot of spilled water. It is a shame, and I hope that Innate will do something about it. The size, color and overall quality of the bottle are terrific. My daughter loves the lime green and doesn't want to part with hers, but it needs to be upright all the time in order to function, and that isn't really helpful.

I ordered two of these water bottles and my kids w
I ordered two of these water bottles and my kids were very excited to use them. My intention was to use them in their lunch boxes. The spout pulls up easy enough for my four year old to use it. Unfortunately, my four year old discovered the little plastic nub on the top of the bottle and lost it within the first day of use. Now the bottle leaks through that whole if the bottle is turned on it's side.

I purchased this bottle for my first grader to use
I purchased this bottle for my first grader to use during school this fall. Of course upon seeing it, she wanted to take it on our vacation, which we did. It's a great size for kids. It fit in the cupholder perfectly and we had no problems with it. Then the first day of school when I pick her up at the end of the day, her backpack is totally drenched with water. She doesn't know why. Here's why. There is a very small opening in the lid that is sealed with a very small clear plastic piece. It's hardly noticable, but if that piece is missing the bottle leaks. The little plastic piece had come out somehow and is missing and now the bottle leaks. When I first received this bottle and noticed that tiny piece, I thought I should send the bottle back. Wish I had. Hopefully, I can get a replacement piece. I would not recommend buying this bottle due to this fact. It is a poor design.

I also had a problem with the plastic straw piece
I also had a problem with the plastic straw piece in the cap that is not supposed to come out. The top does not work without it - it leaks. Mine broke during shipping, I believe, so I emailed customer support and they sent me a replacement cap free of charge. Overall, I am happy with this product and very impressed by the resuablebags.com company and service!

I really like the idea of this water bottle
I really like the idea of this water bottle...easy to clean, no straw inside, no cover to get lost, and my kids love the colors. Unfortunately, within one week of use, my son's was broken. There is a plastic piece inside the cover that goes up through the spout.....my son must have dropped it and it broke off. There is no way to fix it and no way to keep it from leaking. So, it really needs to be more durable. My daughter is still using hers though and she loves it!
